Fe-Ni 합금 극박재 제조를 위한 전주성형기술 및 극박재 특성 (Electroforming and Properties of Fe-Ni Alloy Thin Foils)

  • Electroforming is a process that employs technology similar to that used for electroplating but which is used for manufacturing metallic articles, rather than as a means of producing surface coatings. Electroforming provides a cost-effective means of producing alloys and fully dense nanocrystalline metals as foils, sheets and complex shapes. Fe-Ni nanocrystalline alloy foils with composition in the $36\~80wt\%$ Ni range were fabricated by electroforming. The thickness of electroformed foils was in the range of $5\~30{\mu}m$. TEM and XRD analysis was applied for measuring the grain size. Very fine grain size$(\~10nm)$ was obtained in alloy foils. The yield and tensile strength of electroformed Fe-Ni alloy were 2000-2800 MPa and 2500-3300 MPa respectively. The magnetic permeability at high frequency of electroformed Fe-Ni foil was higher than that of thicker foils.

Stability analysis of porous multi-phase nanocrystalline nonlocal beams based on a general higher-order couple-stress beam model

  • This article investigates buckling behavior of a multi-phase nanocrystalline nanobeam resting on Winkler-Pasternak foundation in the framework of nonlocal couple stress elasticity and a higher order refined beam model. In this model, the essential measures to describe the real material structure of nanocrystalline nanobeams and the size effects were incorporated. This non-classical nanobeam model contains couple stress effect to capture grains micro-rotations. Moreover, the nonlocal elasticity theory is employed to study the nonlocal and long-range interactions between the particles. The present model can degenerate into the classical model if the nonlocal parameter, and couple stress effects are omitted. Hamilton's principle is employed to derive the governing equations and the related boundary conditions which are solved applying an analytical approach. The buckling loads are compared with those of nonlocal couple stress-based beams. It is showed that buckling loads of a nanocrystalline nanobeam depend on the grain size, grain rotations, porosities, interface, elastic foundation, shear deformation, surface effect, nonlocality and boundary conditions.

MasterSizer와 SediGraph에 의한 입도분석 결과의 비교 및 문제점 (Comparison of Two Methods in Grain-size analysis: SediGraph and Master Sizer)

  • MasterSizer와 SediGraph를 이용하여 표준입자와 여러 종유의 퇴적물을 분석하고 그 결과를 비교하였다. SediGraph에 의해 분석된 퇴적물 시료의 입도분석 결과는 MasterSizer에 의한 결과보다 세립하게 나타나는 데, 특히 심해저의 규질연니 퇴적물 에서 그 차이가 크다. 이러한 차이는 시료의 전처리 과정, 기기에 도입되는 시료 농 도, 세립한 입자(약 1um 이하) 감지 능력, 그리고 비구형 입자가 두 기기에 인지되는 방식 등 두 방법상의 여러 가지 다른 점에 기인할 가능성이 있다.

Kinetics of Athermal Martensitic Transformation in Yttria Doped Zirconia

  • The high temperature tetragonal phase of zirconia containing $1.40{\~}1.60\;mol\%$ of yttria can be fully retained at room temperature by rapid cooling. The metastable tetragonal phase transforms into the monoclinic phase athermally upon subzero cooling. The transformation exhibited an athermal burst transformation. The effects of yttria content and grain size on the athermal martensitic transformation were studied in detail. The burst temperature linearly decreased with increasing yttria content or decreasing grain size. To consider the distribution of martensite nuclei, the Weibull modulus of the athermal martensitic transformation was evaluated from the distribution of the burst transformation temperature. From the Weibull analysis, the distribution of embryos appears to be more homogeneous than that of the defects responsible for the fracture of similar material.

  • Refractory materials, such as W and Mo, are very useful elements for use in high-temperature applications. But it is not easy to fabricat pure W and Mo with very high density and retaining very fine grain size because of their high melting point. In this paper, a newly developed method named as resistance sintering under ultra high pressure was use to fabricate pure fine-grained W and Mo. The microstructure was analysis by SEM. The sintering mechanism is primary analyzed. Basic physical property of these sintered pure W and Mo, such as hardness, bend strength, are tested.

내성천 하상 입경 변화에 따른 흰수마자의 물리 서식 적합도 분석 (Study on physical habitat suitability of Gobiobotia naktongensis in Naeseong Stream according to change of bed grain size)

  • 흰수마자(Gobiobotia naktongensis)는 멸종위기야생동물 I급 담수어류로 지정된 대한민국 고유종이다. 흰수마자가 최초로 발견된 낙동강의 지류 중 하나인 내성천은 고운 모래하상과 여울이 발달되어 과거 흰수마자에게 최적의 서식 환경을 제공했었다. 현재 영주댐이 건설되고 지자체가 과도한 하도준설을 시행하여, 댐하류 지역의 하상 조립화가 가속화되면서 흰수마자의 서식환경은 악화되고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 내성천 하상 입경 변화에 따른 흰수마자 서식처 적합도 변화 양상을 물리서식처 모형인 River2D를 활용하여 가중가용면적(Weight Usable Area, WUA)에 근거하여 분석하였다. 분석의 공간적 범위는 영주댐 하류 석탑교에서부터 회룡교까지의 구간이며, 하상 입경 변화는 2010년과 2020년에 각각 분석된 중앙입경을 이용하였다. 내성천의 2020년 하상 입경은 2010년 하상 입경보다 굵어졌으며 전반적으로 모래입자 조립화 현상이 뚜렷하였다. River2D 분석결과 전체 모의구간의 흐름 영역 면적 대비 흰수마자의 서식이 가능한 영역은 2010년에 약 0.75%에 불과하였고, 이마저도 2020년에는 하상조립화로 인해 0.55%로 감소하였다.

  • Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 powder with high purity chemical homogeniety and reactivity was prepared by solvent eva-poration of common solution. The common solution was fabricated using a Pb(NO3)2 Mg(NO)3 and NB solution which was prepared by dissolving NbC in H2O2 acquous solution. In precusor powder prepared by solvent evaporation method the synthetic temperature of Pb(Mg1/3 Nb2/3)O3 phase was lowered. And the formation of homogeneous Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 phase was enhanced but the formation of pyrochlore phase was reduced. The dielectric constant of PMN ceramics from the synthesized powder was found to increase with both sintering temperature and excess MgO and subsequent analysis of the microstructures confirmed that this was due to an increase in grain size. The grain size dependence is explained as a consequence of low-permittivity grain boundaries.

  • The effect of the constituent elements and their composition of the seed layer on the properties of the evaporated Zn thin films was investigated. It was carried out by the analysis of the preferred orientation and the grain size, and the corrosion characteristics. Seed layers were prepared by evaporation of Al and AlCu respectively, and here the Cu content as additives of the source materials of seed layers were designed 5 a/o to 20 a/o. The values of full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the (002) x-ray diffraction peaks of Zn decreased by increasing the amount of the additives on Al seed layer, as a results, the grain sizes also decreased. In order to characteristics of Zn thin films evaporated on the various seed layers, electrical resistivity changes with a function of time at the temperature of 40$^{\circ}C$ and the relative humidity of 80%, as a result, the relative resistivity changes were increased by decreasing the grain size and the FWHM values of (002) peaks of Zn.

수집 유색미 계통의 형질특성 변이 및 주성분 분석 (Variation of Characteristics and Principal Component Analysis of Collected Colored Rice Cultivars)

  • 유색미 수집계통의 농업적 특성을 조사, 분류하여 재배적 이용성 및 품종육성 재료로서의 정보자료를 얻기 위하여 2종의 국내 육성품종과 8종의 국내외 수집계통을 공시하여 이들 계통의 형질특성 및 형질특성간의 상호관계를 조사하고, 주성분의 고유치를 계산하고 각 주성분과 형질간의 상관관계를 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 각 형질의 계통간 변이계수는 간장, 수당영화수, 등숙율, 수량, 숙기, 현미 종피 및 정조 종피색에서 다른 특성에 비하여 큰 것으로 나타났다. 2. 주요 특성 중에서 출수기와 수당 영화수 및 현미 1000립중, 간장과 수장, 수장과 수당 영화수, 현미 1000립중과 종피색간에는 각각 정(+)의 상관이 인정되었고, 출수기와 주당 수수, 간장과 주당 수수 및 현미종피색, 수량과 현미 종피색 사이에 는 각각 부(-)의 상관이 인정 되었다. 3. 주성분 분석결과 변량과 상관계수로 부터 12개의 주성분의 고유치를 얻었으며, 제1, 제2, 제3주 성분의 기여도는 0.275, 0.225, 0.180이었다. 제1주성분은 수수, 현미 1000립중 및 수량과 높은 정의 상관을 보여 식물체의 sink용량의 크기에 대한 변이를 설명해 주는 성분이었다. 그리고 제2주성분은 출수기 및 등숙기와 유의한 상관을 보여 품종의 조만성을 설명해 주는 성분이었다.

Optimal Reheating Condition of Semi-solid Material in Semi-solid Forging by Neural Network

  • As semi-solid forging (SSF) is compared with conventional casting such as gravity die-casting and squeeze casting, the product without inner defects can be obtained from semi-solid forming and globular microstructure as well. Generally, SSF consists of reheating, forging, and ejecting processes. In the reheating process, the materials are heated up to the temperature between the solidus and liquidus line at which the materials exists in the form of liquid-solid mixture. The process variables such as reheating time, reheating temperature, reheating holding time, and induction heating power has large effect on the quality of the reheated billets. It is difficult to consider all the variables at the same time for predicting the quality. In this paper, Taguchi method, regression analysis and neural network were applied to analyze the relationship between processing conditions and solid fraction. A356 alloy was used for the present study, and the learning data were extracted from the reheating experiments. Results by neural network were in good agreement with those by experiment. Polynominal regression analysis was formulated using the test data from neural network. Optimum processing condition was calculated to minimize the grain size and solid fraction standard deviation or to maximize the specimen temperature average. Discussion is given about reheating process of row material and results are presented with regard to accurate process variables fur proper solid fraction, specimen temperature and grain size.
