  • It is very important to produce military goods for customers, and a customer satisfaction index should be developed for quality control of military goods. Seoul National University and Defense Quality Assurance Agency jointly developed MCSI (Military Customer Satisfaction Index). In this paper the model of MCSI is explained, and the sampling design and survey method is introduced. Also a preliminary test was undertaken, and its result is briefly explained.

  • The aim of this study is to find out the optimal goods for the marketing research through analysing the factor effecting the marketing survey by using the experimental design method. The decisive effecting factors in relation with the marketing survey were investigated as follows; 1. A row effect (Ai; i = 1, 2, ... n) is the design sorts of woman-clothes bias. 2. A column effect (Bi; i = 1, 2, ... n) is the woman-consumer bias. In this paper the experimental design, execution and statistical analys is were conducted to find out the optimal goods for marketing research.

  • This study examines the seller's liability to transfer the property to the buyer. Even though contracting parties choose CISG as the governing law regulating their obligations and rights by means of their contract, CISG does not concern with the effect generated by the transfer of property. Thus, the issues of the property is settled in conformity with the domestic law applicable by virtue of the rules of private international law. By considering the general rules of the transfer of property in goods under SGA and KCC as the lex rei sitae, the difference of requirements to pass the property between them is analyzed and then the reasons why the transfer of property is importantly considered are discussed. In addition, as CISG does not exclude completely the matters concerning the property and provides the provision like Art 41, the seller's liability to deliver goods free from the third party right or claim is examined under Art 41. Lastly, the practical advice is suggested.

  • The Incoterms and United Nations Convention on Contract for the international Sales of Goods(CISG) allocate a risk in their articles. These rules make a decision that the parties who make a transaction are bound to bear the risk or damages of goods. Though a goods have a damages or loss during a transportation, buyer is liable for the payment of purchase price. In this case, this paper defines the meaning whether who can bear the risk under Incoterms and CISG. In the majority cases which deal between parties, after shipment or at the end of carriage, the loss or damages are found in buyer's hand. If a damages or loss is made during transit, customarily these risk are covered by insurance. Otherwise, these rules provide a tools for solving this problems. Then, between parties should be accomplished their target equitably.

So, data of this survey was collected in Puchon, and the results can be used in regions which has the similar circumstance. Major findings are as follows. Consumers in Puchon think that it is difficult for them to have the information about goods. They want to know the comparative quality of goods and criterion of selection. Needs of information about 10 goods categories are different from each other. They want the informations about cereals/meats/vegetables, home appliance, book/stationery/toy more than others. They want to acquire the information from community bulletins and mass communication. So, consumer information center in University can produce the information program available to community members using this results. Then, they offer it to them through various channels.

  • Previous research on two-sided markets has, for the most part, concentrated on indirect network externalities between buyers alto sellers. This paper considers direct competition effect among sellers and among buyers as well as indirect network externalities. We develop an analytic model of C2C e-marketplaces and examine whether a monopolistic incumbent could successfully deter new entry into its market. We find that the effect of the number of sellers or buyers on the price of goods depends on whether sellers have decided to sell the goods using an auction or fixed pricing rule and on the characteristics of the goods. We argue that when the effect of the number of sellers on the price of goods is significantly larger than that of buyers, there is a high possibility of entry. In particular, we show that entry becomes more difficult to deter as fixed-price format is adopted more frequently or the proportion of collectables is relatively low.

  • This paper derives the gravity equation with intermediate goods trade. We extend a standard monopolistic competition model to incorporate intermediate goods trade, and show that the gravity equation with intermediates trade is identical to the one without it except in that gross output should be used as the output measure instead of value added. We also show that the output elasticity of trade is significantly underestimated when value added is used as the output measure. This implies that with the conventional gravity equation, the contribution of output growth can be substantially underestimated and the role of trade costs reduction can be exaggerated in explaining trade expansion, as we demonstrate for the case of Korea's trade growth between 1995 and 2007.
