  • In this paper, we introduce a system which helps to draw a conceptual class diagram from the problem description by combining various class diagram deriving methods. Generally, problem description is a kind of statements including user requirements in the early development phase. The system developer can derive a conceptual class diagram from this document, which playes an important role during the object-oriented software development. Until now, it is not easy for the novice to elicit classes because it requires good experience and intuition. In addition, there are also some difficulties of finding valid conceptual classes by hand when the size of system becomes larger. Therefore, we develop a system to solve these problems so that the developer is able to construct the conceptual class diagram easily.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of jigsaw cooperative learning class of elementary pre-service teacher on task commitment and creative personality. This study established an twelve-week period of experimental treatment from september to november 2019, and the students who participated in the study formed a research group of 121 students in 2nd grade of their advanced classes who are attending the second semester of b university of education and taking courses in 'teaching research 2'. B university of education is singleness class that doesn't have compare group, so this study is constituted only study group. Applying based-jigsaw cooperative learning class to study group, before and after concept of task commitment test and creative personality test is performed. The results of the study were as follows. First, the study group applied jigsaw cooperative learning-based science class had statistically significant differences in task commitment (p<.05). Second, the study group applied jigsaw cooperative learning-based science class had statistically significant differences in creative personality efficacy(p<.05). Third, jigsaw cooperative learning-based science class of pre-service teachers have a very good feeling. Through such study results, the study could figure out that the class applying jigsaw cooperative learningbased science class has positive effect on concept of task commitment and creative personality efficacy.

  • Using interesting video clips corresponding to lesson subjects for students who favour visual representation is one of the good methods to enhance students' preference for science class. There are many moving picture web sites to get video clips easily via internet and 'YouTube' is very popular and one of the largest reservoir. In this study, every student in the 'Chemistry I' class, which is a class for 11th grade, was requested to search a video clip corresponding to lesson subjects and to make a presentation in the class. After 1st semester, students' response about the class using YouTube was examined by survey. As a result, students preferred and were interested in the class using YouTube than class centered on textbook. And students preferred YouTube clips showing unusual experiments that were related with contents of subject. In addition, experiments and watching their real phenomena were an interesting factor and helpful factor of learning chemistry in YouTube video clips, respectively. However, translation of English used in the video clips seemed to be a difficult part for students.

  • Classification tree algorithms including as CART by Brieman et al.(1984) in some aspects, recursively partition the data space with the aim of making the distribution of the class variable as pure as within each partition and consist of several steps. SUPPORT(smoothed and unsmoothed piecewise-polynomial regression trees) method of Chaudhuri et al(1994), a weighted averaging technique is used to combine piecewise polynomial fits into a smooth one. We focus on applying SUPPORT to a binary class variable. Logistic model is considered in the caculation techniques and the results are shown good classification rates compared with other methods as CART, QUEST, and CHAID.

  • MX and its analogs are synthesized and modeled by quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) study including comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA). As a result, factors affecting this class of compounds have been found to be steric and electrostatic effects. Because hologram quantitative structure activity relationship (HQSAR) technique is based on the 2-dimensional descriptors, this is free of ambiguity of conformational selection and molecular alignment. In this study we tried to include all the data available from the literature, and modeled with the HQSAR technique. Among the parameters affecting fragmentation, connectivity was the most important one for the whole compounds, giving good statistics. Considering additional parameters such as bond specification only slightly improved the model. Therefore connectivity has been found to be the most appropriate to explain the mutagenicity for this class of compounds.

  • The titled study has been conducted by collecting questionnaires from 146 secondary school science teachers. The results analysed are as follows. 1. More than half of the science teachers think that they have too much loads on teaching and other works. They hope to teach 15 hours a week or less and also to be waived from extra works not related with teaching. 2. Most of the science teachers think that they are not paid enough salary. And more than half of them feel their economic and social status are below average. 3. Science teachers think that they have good relations with their colleagues but many of them are not much satisfied with the attitudes of students and their parents. 4. Science teachers want better facilities for teaching and for their office. 5. Science teachers feel difficult in teaching laboratory class. They pointed out that it is time-consuming to prepare for experiments and clean up the laboratory and that evaluation of experimental work is not easy. 6. Science teachers appeal that they have difficulties in teaching inquiry skills due to the crowded class and also lack of teaching materials for this purpose.

  • Chicken has been one of the most useful animals for life. They have been not only one of the most economical and adundant sources of valuable nutrients, but also the very good experimental animal to develop modern sciences. In Japan, eggs laid by the chickens have long been good sources of cash income for farmers and in many cases even for Samurais. Although nearly 50 millions of chickens were raised and they were of considerable importance in Japanese agricultre before the World War II, the industrialization or specializatin started after the War, Substantiallysince the 1960s. Among other spcies of poultry then chickens, ducks and Japanese quails are of some importane in Japan. Duck meat is often used in various cuisines at higher class restaurants and Japanese quail eggs are widely used. Hower those those species of commpared with chickens.

  • Silicon-containing ${\pi}$-conjugated compounds, especially silacyclopentadienes (siloles), have emerged as a new class of electroactive materials with good electron transport properties in OLEDs. 9,9'-spiro-9-silabifluorene compound as well as its starting material 2,2'-dibromobiphenyl have been synthesized with higher yields. Spirosilabifluorene is expected to be an efficient host material for the blue-light emitting diodes. 9,9'-spiro-9-silabifluorene, 1,1-dichloro-1-silafluorene, and 1,1-dimethyl-1-silafluorene were characterized by $^1H$-NMR, UV/Vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy.

  • This case study developed and operated "Fashion & Film" as a fashion-related liberal arts course. The class was designed to include fashion styles exhibitted in films, fashion-related PPL, fashion design through film, fashion images of movie characters, considering gender & color images expressed in movie costumes, and the history of western costumes and asian folk costumes in films. The class was counducted through various teaching methods, such as lectures, student's presentation of movie plots, and team discussions, which created a student-led class. The team presentations at the end of the term were intended to enhance the understanding of fashion through movies. The results of subjective lecture evaluation of "Fashion & Film" showed the most satisfaction with the communication with professor. Students said that it was good to understand fashion through film. They expressed a burden with the team project; however, they were satisfied with the team project outcomes. Students said that PowerPoint was used very effectively. On the other hand, there was an prevelent opinion that the content of PowerPoint and workbook did not match. To address this inconvenience, a textbook called "Fashion in Film" was published and used in the first semester of 2020. The multiple-choice evaluation showed that students were generally satisfied with the "Fashion & Film" class.
