In the electricity control field, a relay is the most widely used electrical switch. But it has problems about a material transfer phenomenon, contact bounce, and the mechanical life. These Problems cause the serious problem in a facility. So, we tried to solve these problems by applying MOSFET electronic switch and could find good improvement compared to conventional electrical switch.

Based on the goodness of fit approach, a new test is presented for testing exponentiality versus exponential better (worse) than used (EBU (EWU)) class of life distributions. The new test is much simpler to compute, asymptotically normal, enjoys good power and performs better than previous tests in terms of power and Pitman asymptotic efficiencies for several alternatives.

In this note, some comments concerning the testing procedures for the problems of stochastic comparison, testing IFR and testing NBU ageing properties are presented showing that the tests proposed in Belzunce, Candel and Ruiz(1998) are cumbersome to calculate and do not have as good asymptotic Pittman efficacies as simpler others already in the literature. This is done via new presentations of the measures on which Belzunce et al. base their tests.

In post-industrial society consumption takes a role as a means of acquiring unique lifestyle of style especially for the new generation. The purpose of this study was to identify consumption culture of adolescents in the context of consumerism culture. The use of goods in order to create social distinctions and to establish self-identity was note in is new generation's consumption culture and it was argued that advertising and other media attach images of beauty fulfilment and good life and that they persuade adolescents to have such lifestyle through buying consumer goods. It was also argued that the consumption culture of adolescents is strongly related to the counter-culture or counter-school culture. Implications were discussed with respect to future research area.

People usually try to take in nutrition component which is necessary for physical growth, developing and maintaining the health through usually balanced dietary life. However in looking over the results of recent national nutrition survey, even if the nation’s average taking in nutrition condition is fairly good, considering the individual cases there has happened a problem about the balance of taking in nutrition due to the wrong dietary life. Food is an essential component of good health and a high quality of life. This is especially true for the elderly, where health and quality of life can vary due to eating issues. This study attempts to measure the satisfaction with food-related life in the elderly of South Korea, while examining differences in social support, depression, isolation, and life satisfaction based on the level of satisfaction with food-related life. Data collection was conducted using one-on-one surveys from December 2011 to January 2012. A total of 390 elderly (aged 65 and over) who live in Korea participated in this study. The results showed that the satisfaction with food-related life was high (3.52 out of 5). The elderly who had company during a meal or a meal preparer showed a higher satisfaction with their food-related life. Social support was high (5.32 out of 7) and the feelings of isolation were low (3.85 out of 5). The average satisfaction with life was 4.42 out of 7, indicating a fair satisfaction with life, while the average depression score was relatively low (8.77 out of 26). In general, the elderly with a higher satisfaction with food-related life had a higher social support and overall satisfaction with their life. On the other hand, the elderly with a lower satisfaction with food-related life generally reported higher levels of depression and isolation. A positive correlation was observed between satisfaction with food-related life, social support, and satisfaction of life, while a negative correlation was found between satisfaction with food-related life, isolation, and depression. The results of this study indicate that managing the satisfaction with food-related life is an important component of mental health in the elderly.

The phrases such as elders' powerless soliloquy or stammering and their positions unadjusted to the real world are, so far, one of negative views on elder's reminiscences. In other words, it means that elders can get psychological consolation from the getting themselves absorbed in their past. The starting point of this study is, however, that elders' reminiscence are their own mode of the existence. This dissertation is studied through Van Manen's phenomenological research method. The aim of this study is to examine the nature of Korean elders' reminiscences by both observing and describing the reminiscing content in everyday life of elders. The research participants consist of the ten elders who are community elders, hospitalized elders and nursing home residents. The period of the research is about a year from Jan., 1996 to Feb., 1997. The results of this study are as follows : The natures of elders' reminiscences are the regrecting on their life, mitigating the regrects, the confirmation of the powers and the confirmation of their life's mark. The regrecting on their life is the starting point of elders's reminiscences. Elders have tried to examine their life through reflection on their life that they did not live good life as son and daughter for parents and as parents for children and that they have foolishly lived, on dream that they did not come true, on their learning that they did not unsatisfied. But elders mitigate the regrects. They have felt their limitations of power in the conflict of human relation, the economic matter and the difficult predicament, and have finally accepted their life as it is by conquesting from their tenacity. It is dynamically found that both the regrecting on their life and mitigating of the regrection. And they pursuit the powers. It means the pursuit of the vital powers, the vigorous powers and the competency. Elders have pursued their vitality, vigor and competency through their reminiscences and have wanted to be recognised by others as a powerful being. These have dynamic and compounded aspects. The confirmation of their life's mark refer to through their own situation of health, condition, children, neighbourhood and doing their duty as a human. Elders have confirmed the present value of their being through the reflecting the present, past self, other men around themselves, children, neighborhood and the doing their human duty as a good men. Therefore the results of this study can offer new view on the elders' reminiscences that we have to understand them as a process as what they are, escaping from the simple logic that elders' reminiscence have a positive or a negative effects. Also, this study which have examined the natures of Korean elders' reminiscences can cast a new light on elders' nursing proper for Korean culture.

For waxy corn hybrid development, 23 waxy corn hybrids were planted and surveyed in both pericarp thickness and sugar content. Pericarp thickness showed average 50 to $49{\mu}m$ in field and greenhouse. Results like these advanced than previous other hybrids. Also, sugar content in developed waxy corn evaluated as 13.6 to 15.3 brix. Here, we concluded that edible quality of waxy corn depended on combing of two factors. Especially, CNU11H8 hybrid at field and CNU11H-38 at greenhouse were good in both factors. Accordingly, these hybrids will be planted in next time for productivity and area adaptation.

Cold expansion is an efficient way to improve the fatigue life of an open hole. In this paper, three finite element models have been established to bind the crack growth from an expanded hole and simulated. Expansion and its degree influence are studied using a numerical analysis. Stress intensity factors are determined and used to evaluate the fatigue life. Residual stress field is evaluated using a nonlinear analysis and superposed with the applied stresses field in order to estimate fatigue crack growth. Experimental tests are conducted under constant loading. Results of this investigation indicate expansion and its degree are beneficial to fatigue life and a good agreement was observed between FEM simulations and experimental results.

Ultraweak photons could be emitted from the chemical reaction without any electromagnetic radient. These chemiluminescence could be detected by highly sensible photomultiplier recently. We will introduce the principal of chemiluminescence generation reaction, and the application studies in the determination of food-borne microorganisms in field. The counts of surface contaminated microorganism in mackeral and chicken for cold storage determined by ATP-chemiluminescence method had good correlation with the counts by standard agar plate method. However, there was little correlation between 2 methods in ginseng powder whose microbial counts were lower than 10,000 CFU.
