  • Objective : The researcher participated in the visiting treatment project organized by OO City in 2020 and showed the advantages of visiting Korean Medicine, so I would like to report it. Methods : A comprehensive Korean Medicine intervention method was performed for each symptom, and changes in basic physical strength were observed through vital signs, NRS, Single Leg Stance (SLS), and Chair Stand Test (CST) tests. Results : It can be seen that the NRS level, a pain scale for chronic pain, generally decreased at the last treatment compared to the beginning of treatment. Satisfaction with Project Information (PI) was relatively low at 3.20±1.30, but Ease of Participation (EoP), Intention to Participate Again (IPA), Expansion of Project (ExP), and Overall Satisfaction (OS) were high at 5.00±0.00. Conclusions : Summarizing the advantages of visiting Korean Medicine is that the treatment satisfaction for chronic pain is high, the patient's satisfaction is high, the treatment tool is easy to carry, and various visiting treatment services can be implemented.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Su-Gi therapy for Bell's palsy by using DITI. Methods : We investigated 16 patients with Bell's palsy who had visited in the H Korean medicine hospital in Gyeonggi Province from December 27th, 2010 to April 8th, 2015. The Su-Gi therapy was done by 1 times daily. We evaluated the change of them by using Digital Infrared Thermographic Imaging and Yanagihara's unweighted grading system. Results : There aren't meaningful differences in values for the meridian points in pretest and posttest which were observed by DITI of abnormal side and normal side. There are meaningful differences in values, for abnormal side and normal side of the meridian points in pretest and posttest of DITI. It was of significance that pretest Y and average ΔT of each the meridian points in the type of hyperthermia but not in the type of hypothermia. In the Correlation analysis of values of pretest and posttest, chaotic aspects of body heat distribution in the pretest change as a relatively consistent aspects in the posttest. It wasn't of significance that Correlation Analysis of Ups and downs in temperature of TE17 and Recovery speed observed by ΔY. In simple regression analysis of posttest's Y-system values against absolute ΔT by subtracting ΔTE17 from ΔST6, we didn't predict in the pretest, but could predict significantly in the posttest(Regression coefficient : -2.11) In the regression analysis result of the meridian points' ||pretest ΔT|-|posttest ΔT||, 陽白(GB14) and 頰車(ST6) are of significance (Total R-Square=0.447). But we couldn't obtain final regression analysis model. Conclusions: These results suggest that Su-Gi therapy may be effective for Bell's palsy.

Main subject : WST. is a traditional manual therapy from Do-In(導引) An-Kyo(按蹻) that treats disease by controlling Gi(Gi-Gong therapy). It makes treatment effects by pushing Sa-Gi(邪氣) which becomes aggregation-accumulation(積聚) to right places by using pointillage, stroking, and rubbing with doctor's focused intention(意念). The cervical spine connects body and brain, so treating cervical spine could be a foundation of all treatment. Discussion : WST. is a manual therapy that treats not only muscles, nerves, vessels, joints but also Oriental medicine concept-meridian, acupoint and Gi(氣). Conclusions: 1) WST. is a traditional manual therapy using Gi-Gong, 2) WST. changes Sa-Gi(邪氣) into Jung-Gi(正氣), which means curing aggregation-accumulation(積聚), 3) Cervical WST. treats a passage that connects upper and lower parts of human body; heart and brain, and 4) Cervical WST. is a treatment to activate So-Ju-Cheon(小周天), which controls human body immunity.

  • Qi. in ancient east Asian Philosophy and medicine, was the quintessential concept symbolizing material orgin of the world. It was considered as the original matter of the world, and the genesis, development and extinction of everything in heaven and earth was explained through the movement of Qi. Despite its importance, the interpretation of Qi has brought about various bifurcations in the history of Oriental medicine. It is comprehended either as ideal concept, or as actual entity. Also, there exists synthetic idea of considering both sides of Qi. These ideas results from obscure understanding based on textual interpretation apart from actual experince. When experincing Qi through discipline, however, man can understand Qi concretly and actually and even grasp the explanation of the cosmos and life. One problem of Qi discipline was that it couldn't ascend the stage of subjective experience. Now, with the method of 'Hanalmomjit'. a developed form of zifadonggong(自發動功), I could reach coherent results to offer the foundation of objective understanding of Qi. The testees, disciples of Hanalmomjit, could express the characters of herbs in their Qigong actions, and the expression was meaningful and coherent to be considered as expressing the effects described in the classics of herbalogy. This result comes from the capacity of grasping external Qi-status, not only expressing the internal communication of jingluo(經絡) in Hanalmomjit.

From them, data such as, musculoskeletal symptoms by questionnaire examination, and data from ear inspections and interviews were collected and used for the basal data. Auricular reflexology therapies were applied to them at the areas that reflect the musculoskeletal system, for five times, each time with intervals of three or four days. The data about the effectiveness were collected by questionnaire examination, including descriptive answers. The results are as follows; cognition to the auricular reflexology was 62.3%, and acceptance rate of this method was 81.1%. From this results, I think that this therapy can be easily acceptable. The success rates of this therapy were 32.1% after 1 time application, and 84.9% after 5 times applications. This result shows that auricular reflexology therapy has therapeutic effect in musculoskeletal diseases, and the success rates increase according to the application times. Between sex, its success rate were 80% in male patients, and 88.5% in female patients, so this therapy is rather more effective in female patients. According to the body weight, the success rate were 85.8% in normal weight patients, and 71.5% in over- weight patients, so this therapy is more effective in normal weight patients. Comparisons according to other factors, such as age, marriage state etc. shows no definite differences. Conclusively, I think that auricular reflex therapy is easy and useful preventative and treatment method in our usual life. With more investigation, we can apply this method to other musculoskeletal diseases and to the diseases of other systems in the body, I hope so.
