In computer-mediated idea generation where contributions can be anonymous, the ability to accurately monitor performances is limited, inducing social loafing. Prior research has suggested that social loafing is likely an important factor in reducing task performance. Researchers have theorized that loafing could be minimized if clear performance feedback is provided. Our prior study evidences a substantial performance gain by the provision of real time performance information about who is contributing and who is not. However, our prior study incorporated the quantity feedback only to create a larger pool of ideas based on the long-standing assumption (i.e., quantity breeds quality), not considering the quality feedback. As a result, taking advantage of anonymity in the form of pseudonymity, individuals in almost all groups exhibited a tendency of self-presentation by capitalizing on ideas of which quality was low and even frivolous (i.e., junk comments) toward the later stages of the session. Thus, we have learned that the quantity performance feedback alone does not have enough restrictiveness to consistently control the performance behavior throughout the session. Since a process chart allows participants to monitor process variation by comparing new performance data to past performance data, we incorporated real-time visual process performance feedback to reveal performance histories by connecting the sequence of idea quality scores in a time-series format. Using this environment, a laboratory experiment was conducted with five-member groups that examined the influence of both identifiability (i.e., anonymity versus pseudonymity) and process performance feedback (i.e., yes or no) in a $2{\times}2$ factorial design. The result showed that groups in the process performance feedback treatment outperformed groups in the no feedback treatment. Additionally, process performance feedback and identifiability interacted such that groups in the process performance feedback/pseudonymity treatment had the highest performance. The implications of these findings for future research, as well as the implications for the design of group idea generation procedures are discussed.
This paper uses Monte Carlo technique, which is one of probabilistic methods of estimating the economical quantity of electric power generation in consideration of voltage stability in the aspect of power generation companies. In the power exchange system in Korea, when power generation companies participate in tenders for power generation capacity at the power exchange, they need to determine their power supply capacity considering the stability of electric power system. Thus, we purposed to propose an algorithm for estimating economical power generation capacity in theaspect of power generation companies, through which we can estimate the margin for voltage stability through P-V curve analysis by capacity according to the change of power generation capacity in a simulated system and to conduct Monte Carlo simulation in consideration of the margin
Recently, as exactly clean source, the research of photovoltaic power generation is undertaken actively and widely. In this paper, an auxiliary power supply system which is composed of photovoltaic generation and DC-DC boost chopper is described. This system in mainly for Air-conditioner appliances is which AC source is formed through rectifying circuit and without electrical storage battery. There exist two operating modes depending on the power quantity of the solar cells and the load. The control algorithm is discussed.
At present Cournot model is one of the most commonly used theories to analyze the gaming situation in oligopoly market. But there exist several problems to apply this model to electricity market. The representative one is to obtain the inverse demand curve able to be induced from the relationship between market price and demand response. In Cournot model, each player offers their generation quantity to accomplish maximum profit, which is accomplished by reducing their quantity compared with available total capacity. As stated above, to obtain the probable Cournot equilibrium to reflect real market situation, we have to induce the correct demand function first of all. Usually the correlation between price and demand appears on the long-term basis through the statistical data analysis (for example, regression analysis) or by investigating consumer utility functions of several consumer groups classified as residential, industrial, and commercial. However, the elasticity has a tendency to change continuously according to the total market demand size or the level of market price. Therefore it should be updated as trading period passes by. In this paper we propose a method for inducing and updating this price elasticity of demand function for more realistic market equilibrium.
Two-step water splitting thermochemical cycle with $CeO_2/ZrO_2$ foam device was investigated by using a solar simulator composed of 2.5 kW Xe-Arc lamp and mirror reflector. The hydrogen production of $CeO_2/ZrO_2$ foam device depending on heat recovery of Thermal-Reduction step and Water-Decomposition step was analyzed, and the hydrogen production of $CeO_2/ZrO_2$ and $NiFe_2O_4/ZrO_2$ foam devices was compared. Resultantly, the quantity of hydrogen generation increased by 52.02% when the carrier gas of Thermal-Reduction step is preheated to $200^{\circ}C$ and, when the $N_2/steam$ is preheated to $200^{\circ}C$ in the Water-Decomposition step, the quantity of hydrogen generation increased by 35.85%. Therefore, it is important to retrieve the heat from the highly heated gases discharged from each of the reaction spaces in order to increase the reaction temperature of each of the stages and thereby increasing the quantity of hydrogen generated through this.
Suspended sediment outflows mainly by natural situation and artificial action and affects in down-stream. This research studied suspended sediments origination in forests size and mountain stream for natural situation, density for artificial action, and measured the size and possible quantity of suspended sediments origination and studied obstruction method of the generation by artificial action. As the result, I found that the size of generation is about 2~3% of forest size and the forest size which is affecting bare area of valley is about 1∼2ha. In addition, possible outflow segments quantity by artificial facilities is assumed to be maximum 200ton/ha and abstract of mountain incline for mountain development needs minimize bare area valley by make right angle with minimum size.
The designed hybrid generation system (HGS) not only consider the voltage condition of grid connection point but also do reactive power support according to the transmission system operator's directions. The PCS operation plan in HGS should be supported by precise transferred quantity expectation about reactive power because the system has large physical areas and also be interconnected with grid through long transmission system. Therefore, the realistic measuring process about transferred reactive power quantity by utilizing HGS is required to consider additional compensation plan. In this paper, an reactive power transferred capability of HGS with expected parameter is analyzed, and imposed to the simulation process that is performed on EMTDC environment. Basically, grid information and system characteristics were utilized with Jeju island in Korea, and the performance analysis is carried out based on the composed layout in ongoing project.
Generally, there are two types of regulation strategies for encouraging renewable energies ; regulation by quantity and price. With examples of quantity regulation, there RPS (Renewable portfolio standard) system in United States America, Renewable obligation in England, and MRET system in Australia. Countries that chose the price regulation are Germany, Spain, France, Portugal. This Paper overviews the current trends of regulation system on policies for renewable energies in foreign countries on these days.

There has been a lot of research on and release of commercial systems that enable evaluation and visualization of construction methods. These have enabled the selection of good construction plans. However, the process in which engineers build 3D geometry, formulate a schedule and eventually synchronize them is still a time-consuming process. Changing any aspect of the geometry or the schedule and re-linking them is also time-consuming. Therefore, the engineers may compromise on getting the best solution. This paper describes a technique to automate the generation of multiple sets of schedules, quantity takeoffs and 4D visualization from a single 3D model.
This paper presents the optimization of expanding velocity for tube expanding process in the manufacturing of a heat exchanger. In specific, the expanding velocity has a great influence on the performance of a heat exchanger because it is a key variable determining the quantity of tube expending at assembly stage as well as a key Parameter determining overall production rate. The simulation showed that the genetic algorithm used in this paper resulted in the optimal tube expanding velocity by performing the following series of iteration; the generation of arbitrary population for tube expanding parameters, consequently the generation of tube expanding velocities, the evaluation of tube expanding quantity using the pre-trained data of plastic deformation by means of a neural network and finally the generation of next population using a penalty faction and a Roulette wheel method.
