  • The tasks which detect and track moving objects, by analyzing dynamic images taken at a constant time interval, are essential in various applications. This paper suggests how to utilize domain-specific knowledge and motional knowledge for detecting and tracking moving objects. That is, The trajectory information of a moving object is to be used for generating hypotheses on expected motion and expected position of moving objects, and the domain-specific knowledge is to be used for verifying the generated hypotheses.

풍력발전용 모형터빈에 관한 기초적연구 (A Fundamental Study on Wind Turbine Model of the Wind Power Generation)

  • A numerical investigation was performed to determine the effect of airfoil on the optimum flap height using NACA 00XX and 44XX airfoils. The six flaps which have 0.5% chord height difference were selected. A Navier-Stokes code, FLUENT, was used to calculate the flow field of the airfoil. The code was first tested as a benchmark by modelling flow around a NACA 4412 airfoil. Predictions of local pressure coefficients are found to be in good agreement with the result of the experimental result. For every NACA 00XX and 44XX airfoil, flap heights ranging from 0.0% to 2.5% chord were changed by 0.5% chord interval and their effects were also studied. Representative results from each case are presented graphically and discussed. It is concluded that this initial approach gives an idea for the future development of the wind turbine optimum design.

  • This paper describes a dwell time calculation algorithm for polishing tool path generation in the small toot polishing process of the axis-symmetrical lens. Generally dwell time control in the polishing machines means that small polishing tool stays for a dwell time at the specific surface position to get the expected polishing depth. Polishing depth distribution on an aspherical lens surface consists of the superposition of the local polishing depth at the each dwell position. Therefore, tool path generation needs each dwell time together with tool positioning data during the polishing tool movements on the aspherical lens surface. The linear algebraic equation of removal depth removal matrix and dwell time is formulated. Parametric effects such as the dwell d interval are simulated to validate the dwell time calculation algorithm.

  • The toolpath generation for 3D shaped parts with adaptive isocurve is more precise than existing methods, and the machining time can be reduced. Whether adaptive isocurves are inserted or not is determined by the surface shape, but the number of curves inserted and the total path length vary with initial step lengths. In this paper, therefore, by introducing the concept of the scale factor into the initial path interval ; toolpath was regenerated.

  • This paper presents a method to calculate generation power for integrating Sihwa tidal power into power systems. The sea levels of 1 minute interval using cubic interpolation based on the forecasted levels of high and low water offered from Nori(National Oceanographic Research Institute) are calculated. If the sea level is greater than the lake level and the difference between sea level and lake level at high tide is over the default value, it begins to calculate the tidal power. It is seen that tidal power can supply power to demand side stably and economically from assessment of effect for integrating tidal power into power systems.

  • In this paper, a vector control of the IPMSM drives for the next generation domestic high speed railway system is presented. The applied control method uses one pulse mode field weakening control in constant power region, and maximum torque control per ampere control in constant torque region considering current and voltage limits. An overmodulation control interval is inserted to improve the transient characteristics during transition period of the control modes. Simulation programs based on Matlab/Simulink are developed. Finally the designed system is verified by simulation and their characteristics are analyzed by the simulation results.

  • 본 연구는 생명정보학(bio-informatics) 분야 중, 특정 병에 관련된 유전자 위치를 찾고자 DNA 시퀀싱(DNA sequencing) 방법을 이용한 메틸화(methylation) 데이터의 분석에 관한 것이다. 반복적인 시퀀싱 과정을 통해 도출되는 메틸화 여부 자료를 비율로 표현한 메틸화 점수는 0과 1사이의 값을 가지게 된다. 이러한 데이터에 집단별 메틸화 점수의 차이를 검토하기 위해 t-검정을 단순히 적용하는 것은 정규분포의 가정에 위배된다. 또한 메틸화 점수 생성과정에서 시퀀싱의 반복수에 따라 결과가 달라 질 수 있으므로 이러한 오차를 고려해서 분석할 수 있는 방법도 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 메틸화 데이터를 하나의 숫자 데이터가 아닌 불확실성을 포함하는 구간형(interval) 데이터로 변환하여 분석하는 심볼릭 데이터 분석(symbolic data analysis) 및 구간형 K-S 검정법을 적용하였다. 또한 구간형 데이터로 변환하는 과정에서 정규분포를 이용하지 않고 베타분포를 이용하여 메틸화 점수의 특성을 반영하여 분석할 수 있게 하였다. 자료분석을 위하여 174명의 실제 암환자 및 정상인들의 DNA 시퀀싱 데이터를 이용하여 제안한 방법의 성질을 살펴보았다. t-검정은 위치모수에 관한 검정만 가능한 반면, 구간형 K-S 통계량은 구간자료에 대해 위치모수뿐만 아니라 분포함수의 이질성에 검정할 수 있으므로 t-검정이 놓칠 수 있는 유의미한 유전자 위치를 찾아낼 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Nowadays, as the development paeiod of new products becomes even shorter, the importance of Rapid Prototyping Technology(RPT) has been rapidly increased. The major application of RPT is an early verification of product designs and quick production of prototypes for testing. Moreover, RPT is applied not only as a second tooling process such as mold making and investment casting but also as a creating some physical structure in medical field. Despite the remarkable progress of RPT, it is required to improve various problems resulting from application such as production time, accuracy and materials. This paper presents a laser scan path generation for accuracy of stereolithographicparts The methodology of laser scan path generation is discussed based on the stereolithography, The procedure of this research is as follows : 1) Input laser scanning conditions such as a laser beam diameter and a laser scanning interval, 2) Reconstruct original contours without self intersecting offset, 3) Calculate offset about reconstructed contours, 4) Calculate intersection points between horizontal or vertical lines and offset contours for internal hatch, 5) Decide laser shutter on/off points. The algorithm developed and programmed by C language is verified as an efficient method after testing a number of STL files of mechanical parts.
