Resonance inverter power system for plasma sterilization effective improvement (플라즈마 살균 효과 개선을 위한 공진용 인버터 전원 시스템)

  • A resonant type voltage source and power device and a control method using Pulse Density Modulation(PDM) power control and Pulse Width Modulation(PWM)voltage control for plasma sterilization are described. For the stability of discharge in the generating tube, it is desirable that the peak apply voltage is constant. The PDM power control is employed for sustaining the voltage constant at any generating tube input power. Moreover, to avoid the influence of input AC voltage fluctuation etc., PWM voltage control with generating tube peak voltage feedback is used. Both functions were confirmed by the experiment with inverter and generating tube. The effect of input synchronous PDM method for input current stabilizing is confirmed also.

  • The aim of this work is to construct twisted q-L-series which interpolate twisted q-generalized Bernoulli numbers. By using generating function of q-Bernoulli numbers, twisted q-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials are defined. Some properties of this polynomials and numbers are described. The numbers $L_{q}(1-n,\;X,\;{\xi})$ is also given explicitly.

  • Various methods have been proposed for the time series prediction. Most of the conventional methods only optimize parameters of mathematical models, but to construct an appropriate functional form of the model is more difficult in the first place. We employ the Genetic Programming (GP) to construct the functional form of prediction models. Our method is distinguished because the model parameters are optimized by using Back-Propagation (BP)-like method and the prediction model includes discontinuous functions, such as if and max, as node functions for describing complicated phenomena.   • In this paper, we discuss the connection between the 5-dimensional complex Lie algebra ${\mathcal{K}} _5$ and Special functions. We construct certain two variable models of the irreducible representations of ${\mathcal{K}}_5$. We also use an Euler type integral transformation to obtain the new transformed models, in which the basis function appears as $_2F_1$. Further, we utilize these models to get some generating functions and recurrence relations.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to give some new identities and properties related to Bernoulli type numbers and polynomials associated with the Bessel function of the first kind. We give symmetric properties of the Bernoulli type numbers and polynomials. Moreover, using generating functions and the Faà di Bruno's formula, we derive some new formulas and relations related to not only these polynomials, but also the Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and the Euler numbers and polynomials.

  • The utility of exponential generating functions is that they are relevant for combinatorial problems involving sets and subsets. Sequences of polynomials play a fundamental role in applied mathematics, such sequences can be described using the exponential generating functions. The actuarial polynomials ${\alpha}^{({\beta})}_n(x)$, n = 0, 1, 2, ${\cdots}$, which was suggested by Toscano, have the following exponential generating function: $${\limits\sum^{\infty}_{n=0}}{\frac{{\alpha}^{({\beta})}_n(x)}{n!}}t^n={\exp}({\beta}t+x(1-e^t))$$. A linear functional on polynomial space can be identified with a formal power series. The set of formal power series is usually given the structure of an algebra under formal addition and multiplication. This algebra structure, the additive part of which agree with the vector space structure on the space of linear functionals, which is transferred from the space of the linear functionals. The algebra so obtained is called the umbral algebra, and the umbral calculus is the study of this algebra. In this paper, we investigate some umbral representations in the actuarial polynomials.

  • MPEG-7 provides a lot of advantages for retrieving and editing of multimedia data by providing the information of structure and semantics in multimedia data such as digital images and audio. In this paper, a metadata generator and editor system for MPEG-7 is introduced. It suggests the overall technique and framework of generating and editing multimedia data when such content is created. This system also includes not only the functions of generating, editing and saving meta-data of MPEG-7 but also the functions of meta-data editing of moving pictures based on MPEG 1, 2 and browsing of the overall editing process.

The Design of Fault Tolerant Dual System and Real Time Fault Detection for Countdown Time Generating System

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time fault monitoring and dual system design of the countdown time-generating system, which is the main component of the mission control system. The countdown time-generating system produces a countdown signal that is distributed to mission control system devices. The stability of the countdown signal is essential for the main launch-related devices because they perform reserved functions based on the countdown time information received from the countdown time-generating system. Therefore, a reliable and fault-tolerant design is required for the countdown time-generating system. To ensure system reliability, component devices should be redundant and faults should be monitored in real time to manage the device changeover from Active mode to Standby mode upon fault detection. In addition, designing different methods for mode changeover based on fault classification is necessary for appropriate changeover. This study presents a real-time fault monitoring and changeover system, which is based on the dual system design of countdown time-generating devices, as well as experiment on real-time fault monitoring and changeover based on fault inputs.

  • Design methodology of Interactuve Measuring Part Program Generating Tools(IMPPGT) realized on the FANUC 15MA using touch trigger probes and interactive macro functions of the CNC was described in this paper. Measuring G codes have been designed according to probe ste up, basic and applied inspection items by using measuring arguments. Menu driven measuring and inspection functions of the IMPPGT were studied and implemented on the CNC through the macro executor and ROM writer. Using the developed measuring G code system on the machine tool, untended measurement and inspection operation was able to be realized in precision FMS lines.
