고속도로 터널 내 화재사고 발생 시 대피행동 지연 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Delayed Factors in Evacuation Behavior in the Case of Fire Accidents in Highway Tunnels)

  • This paper attempted to analyze the correlation between the risk image of the evacuees in the tunnel and the variables that affect the evacuation behavior due to the closed feeling. As to whether there is a difference in the level of recognizing the tunnel risk image according to the distribution of jobs, the null hypothesis was rejected at the significance probability of 0.002, so it can be said that the level of recognition of the tunnel risk image varies depending on the job group. In the distribution difference between gender and tunnel risk image recognition level, the significance probability was 0.012, indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected, indicating that the tunnel risk recognition distribution according to gender was different. As a result of analyzing the distribution difference between the tunnel's closed feeling and the tunnel risk perception level, the significance probability was 0.001, and the null hypothesis was rejected, indicating that there was a difference in the tunnel risk image level.

  • The purpose of this research was to assess gender differences in the processes of intergenerational transmission of marital instability. This study revealed gender differences in the intergenerational transmission of marital instability. The fit indices suggest that the hypothesized model fit better for the female sample. Parental divorce marital quality and marital commitment were significant predictors of marital instability for both genders. Parental divorce was a strong predictor of marital quality for women only. While the path between age difference and marital quality for females was strong the same association disappeared for their male counterparts.

대학생의 성별에 따른 외모와 취업 스트레스 및 취업불안과의 관계 (Correlations in Appearance, Job-seeking Stress and Job-seeking Anxiety in Undergraduates according to Gender Differences)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the differences between the level of satisfaction and concern regarding appearance according to gender, the importance of appearance in job interviews, and the influence appearance has on job-seeking stress and anxiety under the ever-increasing pressure on students to secure employment so that appropriate psychological interventions can be provided to undergraduates. Methods: The survey was conducted on 170 third and fourth year undergraduates in Gyeonggi province from August 31st to September 6th, 2012 to figure out the correlations and differences in variables of appearance satisfaction and concern, and the importance of appearance in job interviews and job-seeking stress and anxiety according to the differences in gender. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, two-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation analysis. Results: 1. There was difference between the genders for appearance satisfaction and concern. The level of satisfaction was higher in male students while concerns regarding appearance were higher in female students. There was no gender difference regarding the importance of appearance in job interviews, job-seeking stress, and job-seeking anxiety. 2. For the concerns in appearance, there was a significant difference between the genders in appearance management, and gender and the importance of appearance in job interviews showed significant interactive effects. Stress and anxiety from job-seeking did not show significant differences between the genders, but there were common significant interactive effects between gender and grades, gender and employment, and gender and the importance of appearance in job interviews. 3. Both male and female students showed higher job-seeking stress as their job-seeking anxiety was higher. Job-seeking anxiety was higher in male students who had higher concern in appearance, and in female students who placed more emphasis on the importance of appearance in job interviews. Conclusion: As female students perceived appearance in job interviews as important more than male students, their job-seeking anxiety was higher, while male students who showed higher concern in appearance also showed higher level of anxiety in job-seeking. As job-seeking anxiety was higher, job-seeking stress was also higher according to the entire participants, based on this result, methods to decrease job-seeking anxiety should be suggested.

도시지역 노인의 성에 따른 건강행위 및 관련요인의 차이 (Gender differences in Health Behaviors and Related Factors of the Urban Elderly)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine gender differences in health behaviors and the related factors for the urban elderly population. This study utilized the data from the Suwon city health survey of the elderly in 2001. The data consisted of a random sample of 979 (388 males, 591 females) elderly people aged over 65. The results of the study were as follows. First, the elderly people's health behaviors were different by gender. Concerning health risk-taking behavior, the frequencies of smoking and drinking were higher in males than in females. In terms of health promotive behavior, the regular exercise rate was higher in males than in females. Second, there were different factors that influenced health behaviors by gender. The factors that influenced the health risk-taking behaviors were health status factors for male, and socioeconomic factors for female. The factors that significantly influenced the health promotive behaviors were social supports networks for both gender. Therefore, program priorities need to be modulated in accordance with these gender differences in health behaviors. Moreover, different program strategies are needed that reflect the gender differences in health behavior determinants.

남자간호사의 성역할 갈등, 직무만족 및 이직의도와의 관계 (Relationship of Gender Role Conflict and Job Satisfaction to Turnover Intention for Men in Nursing)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between gender role conflict for men in nursing, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. Methods: The study data were collected between August 1 and September 1, 2015 from 225 men in nursing currently working in 36 Korean general hospitals, each with ${\geq}100$ beds. Frequency and percentages were analyzed, and Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA, and Duncan's test were used. Results: There was no significant difference in gender role conflict based on the general characteristics of the men. In contrast, significant differences in gender role conflict were found in association with the following job-related characteristics: work experience at the present hospital, work department, work unit, and type of work. A significant negative correlation was detected between male gender role conflict and job satisfaction, a positive correlation was found between male gender role conflict and turnover intention. Conclusion: In order to increase job satisfaction and decrease the turnover intention of men in nursing, measures to reduce gender role conflict are needed.

대학생의 성별에 따른 성역할정체감과 성태도의 차이 (Differences between Gender Role Identity and Sexual Attitude among College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare and examine gender role identity and sexual attitude according to sex among college students. Method: The subjects consisted of 1,118 college students. The tool for gender role identity and sexual attitude was the Korea Gender Role Identity Inventory(KGRII) of Lee, Kim and Koh(2002) and the Sexual Attitude Scale of Koh, Kim and Lee(2005). The collected data was analyzed using descriptive analyzed statistics, $X^2$ test, Lamda, t-test, ANOVA, Sheffe and Pearson correlation with the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Result: For male students, undifferentiated role identity type, 36.5%, was the most common but for female students, an androgynous role identity type, 39.3%, was most common. The sexual attitude score according to gender role identity type was 2.9 for the undifferentiated type as the highest score. Of both male and female students, the highest sexual attitude score was the undifferentiated type. Sexual attitude according to general characteristics for male students had a significant difference in major field of study and height and for female students weight. Sexual attitude was significantly related to age, height and weight. Conclusion: These results suggest that gender role identity and sexual attitudes are different between the sexes. This study result contributes to providing basic data for sex education and nursing interventions for college students.

여성 리더의 성 역할에 따른 직무만족과 조직몰입의 관계 (Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment According to Women Leaders' Gender Role)

  • 본 연구는 국내 기업에서 여성 리더의 사회적 성 역할에 따른 직무만족과 조직몰입의 관계를 분석하기 위한 것으로, 구체적으로는 여성 리더의 성 역할에 따라서 직무만족과 조직몰입 수준의 차이가 존재하는지를 확인하고자 문헌연구를 토대로 여성 리더와 종업원으로 구성된 학습지 회사인 K사의 1,172명을 대상으로 실증분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과 여성 리더가 수행하는 양성적 성 역할과 남성적 성 역할이 여성적 성 역할보다 영업집단의 직무만족과 조직몰입에서 높은 수준을 보이는 것을 발견하였으나, 양성적 성 역할과 남성적 성 역할 사이에는 유의한 차이를 발견할 수 없었다.

Learners' Smart Media Literacy on the Gender and School Levels

  • The present study aims to examine whether the gender and school of students affect smart media literacy in South Korea. For the purpose of this study, data in Korea Youth Competency Measurement and International Comparative research II was analyzed. The data was nationwide data collected from 11,284 students in elementary, middle, high, and undergraduate school in South Korea. The participants were asked to answer 18 items of smart media literacy questionnaire (SMLQ) that consisted of four factors; ability to learn using smart media, ability to operate smart devices, ability to use smart applications, and positive perception of using smart media. As a result, statically significant differences were observed in the participants' gender and school levels. In relation to the gender level, female students scored higher than male students on the smart literacy survey. With regard to the school level, middle school students scored the highest while elementary school students scored the lowest. In addition, a statistically significant difference was found in the gender level of smart media literacy on two dependent measures in terms of the interaction effect of gender and school levels. Based on the findings of the present study, strategies to improve smart media literacy according to students' gender and school levels have been made and suggestions for further research have been proposed in detail.

사회적 관계망의 긍정적, 부정적 기능이 성별 주관적 건강에 미치는 영향 (Positive and Negative Influence of Social Network on Self Rated Health and its Gendered Pattern)

  • Objectives: This study was to examine the association between structural and functional characteristics of social network and self-rated health in middle-aged Korea population. We also explored gender difference in the relationship between social network and health. Methods: Data were collected from individuals aged 40-69 years old participating in the 2005 survey for the Korean Genome & Epidemiology Study. We examined the association between social network, social support, social conflict and self-rated health using multiple logistic regression analysis stratified by gender. Results: The extent and contact frequency of close people, and social participations were associated by not only the positive function but also the negative function of social network. Both the positive and negative functions of social network affected self-rated health. The relationship between the function of social network and health showed a gender difference: only positive function was significantly associated with health in men while only negative function had significant relationship with health in women. Conclusions: Social support and social conflict affected the health in both genders through different ways. The ambivalent effect of social network on health should be explored further.
