특정 영역에 대해 사용자에게 관련 정보를 제공해 주는 서비스를 하는 정보 에이전트를 개발 중이다. 정보 에이전트는 사용자 질의 처리를 달은 Agent Manager와 지식베이스를 관리하는 KB Manager, 그리고 Web으로부터 해당 영역의 관련 문서를 끌어오는 Web Manager로 구성되어 있다. Web Manager는 방문할 URL을 수집하고, 이들 문서에 대한 관련 평가와 Indexing을 수행한다. Web Manager는 검색 엔진을 이용하거나, 방문한 문서의 link를 이용하여 URL을 수집하는데 이러한 URL수집기법은 많은 관련 문서를 놓치는 문제점이 있다. 이 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 해당 영역과 관련된 Site들을 대상으로 Link를 이용해 문서들을 모아와, 문서들을 TAG들의 패턴으로 얻어낸 문서 형식을 이용해 Clustering하며 관련 문서들의 Group을 찾아내는 적극적 문서 수집 기법을 제안한다. 실험 결과, Link와 Clustering을 이용할 경우 기존보다 효과적으로 관련 문서를 많이 수집할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

Recently, environmental pollution by livestock excretion is gathering strength as livestock industry is advanced on a large scale. Bio-gas is generated more than about 70 precent if remove impurities in the course of extracting bio-gas to use livestock excretion. In this paper, we developed a device that can use it in heating after extracting bio-gas from livestock excretion collected in livestock farmhouse and can supply electricity by using generator developed in itself. Also, because this system is epoch-making no discharge system to solve smear of existing method, it is expected that we have effects to prevent environmental pollution and get alternation energy and burden on the institution to treat livestock excretion of a pig breeder is solved, if use it.

최근에는 U-City 등 유비쿼터스 기반의 각종 시스템 및 기술이 개발되어 우리의 생활을 보다 편리하도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 USN의 응용이라고 할 수 있으며, 일정한 공간 내 혹은 외부의 환경요소를 수집하여 원격으로 확인할 수 있는 시스템에 대해 연구한다.

It is essential for companies to manage massive data for dealing with large volume of transactions and customers' needs. To this end, the companies have operated data warehouse with many complex tools for data gathering and reporting to the end-users. However, the data from the heterogeneous tools at the various sources cannot be exchanged because of the different interfaces. Therefore, the data cannot be controlled with integrated manner, and furthermore the companies do not focus the quality of data resulting in the data quality problem. Thus, this study suggests how to manage massive data with a metadata. In particular, we investigate current status of metadata management, its appliance, and perspectives. The contribution of this research is to apply the metadata management system to the real world and to suggest its management procedure.

In ubiquitous environments, many applications need to process data with time and space dimensions. Because of this, there is growing attention not only on gathering spatiotemporal data in ubiquitous environments, but also on processing such data in databases. In order to obtain the full benefits from spatiotemporal data, we need a data model that naturally expresses the properties of spatiotemporal data. In this paper, we introduce three spatiotemporal data models extended from temporal data models. The main goal of this paper is to determine which data model is less complex in the spatiotemporal context. To this end, we compare their query languages in the complexity aspect because the complexity of a query language is tightly coupled with its underlying data model. Throughout our investigations, we show that it is important to intertwine space and time dimensions and keep one-to-one correspondence between an object in the real world and a tuple in a database in order to naturally express queries in ubiquitous applications.

This paper contains the terminal developement for the feeder remote unit in Korea Distribution Automation System. This terminal unit has serval functions in order to do feeder auotmation as following, the open/close controls and gathering status informations of switchgears, getting line currents and voltages, distribution fault. So FRU has four modules to do those functions-Logic Controller, Relay Controller, Data Acquisition, Display, Power Supply etc. The FRU should be on allays, so AC power is supplied before & behind the switchgear. Power Supply is made up with AC/DC, DC/DC, Battery and/or SOLAR CELLS & CONTROLLER. It is important for the supply to protect against some Surges, because surges are happened so many times. Surge test is fellowing the standard IEC 801-5 or IEEE 587.

The purpose of this study is to build fundamental data related to corridor space for nursing home design. Elderly with dementia were observed in corridor space at two nursing homes in In-cheon City. Two types of behavior were found out through in-depth observation; Group and Personal behaviors. Group behaviors were varying according to the type of programs such as rest, care, diet, and therapeutic services. Personal behaviors could be classified into wandering and private seclusion. These two behaviors were influenced by management programs of facilities, services of care-givers and individual characteristics of residents. The result of this study was discussed on the following matters: 1) Optimum size of residential unit; 2) Working spaces of care-givers; 3) Relationship between bedroom and common space for gathering; 4) Planning for wandering path; 5) Familiarity of interior finishing materials

This paper presents a Fuzzy+PID control method for a Bridge Inspection Robot(BIR) system. The BIR has been developed with the aim of checking the safety status of a real bridge, gathering accurate data and performing maintenance. The developed robot system is composed of the specially designed car for bridge inspection, the guide rail and the inspection robot. The proposed Fuzzy+PID controllers are used to track speed reference signal of X axis and position reference signal of Z axis. Experimental results verify that the proposed Fuzz+PID control design method can achieve favorable control performance with regard to external disturbance.

Gidra speaking people living in Wonnie area of western province in Papua New Guinea are traditionally dependent on hunting and gathering. Sago is the main staple food and the vegetation consists of rain forest (Bua) and trees with savannah grass (Yap). The population density is very low and the people are very little affected by modernization. This study is an attempt to look at the people-resource interaction in the area for the past thirty years based on aerial photographs and various satellite data. The study showed the trends of yap versus bua distribution as well as the location of garden and Sago grove areas, which is important for studying the livelihood of the people.

A communication protocol for automatic meter reading is designed for electronic power meter. Communicational functions and data structures are standardized and data reading software is developed according to the developed protocol. The communication protocol is designed with reference specifications, IEC 62056-31 and Distributed Network Protocol(DNP). For design, communicational functions and specifications of the industrial meters were analyzed for the purpose of developing a new one for KEPCO meters. The protocol is designed with 3 layer model, physical layers, data link layer and application layer. A documentation was completed with data gathering, data classification, authentication, error detection. An emulator system was made for testing the protocol. A meter reading software was developed using the protocol. Many different protocols and meter reading softwares are integrated into one with the developed protocol and software as KEPCO's standard.
