위상 데이터 비트수를 최적화한 멀티미디어용 FM 음원합성 IC의 설계 (Design of FM sound synthesizer IC for multimedia with phase bit optimized)

  • With the advent of multimedia era, there are ever increasing interest in computer music and sound syntheis. An FM type sound synthesizing method makes possible the syntheis ofvarious sounds ofmusical instruments with a relatively simple hardware architecture. Therefore, in this paper, we designed a hardware architecture for real-time sound synthesizer and its logic gates. In this paper, we designed a basic sound generator for implementation of real-time logic gates, analzed characteristics of sounds synthesized in this architecture and extracted parameters of FM sounds of musical instruments by using the Csound software. The major bolkcs to build the hardware are a phase-generator, a singe-function-generator, an envelope-generator and a multiplier-part. Finally, logic circuits are designed and verified in VHDL and logic gates by 1.0um standard cell library, which will be easily implementable by the form of ASIC.

Development of pH-Responsive Core-Shell Microcapsule Reactor

  • A novel type of intelligent microcapsule reactor system was prepared. The reactor can recognize pH change in the medea and control reaction rate by itself. For the reactor system, acrylic acid (AA), N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM), and glucose oxidase (GOD) were selected as a pH-responsive device, a gating device according and a reaction device, respectively. Poly(NIPAM-co-AA) (P-NIPAM-co-AA) are known to change its hydrophilicity-hydrophobicity due to pH change. They were integrated in a core-shell microcapsule space. GOD was loaded inside the core space and the pores in the outside shell layer were filled with P-NIPAM-co-AA linear grafted chains as pH-responsive gates by plasma graft filling polymerization method. When P-NIPAM-co-AA gates are hydrophilic at high pH value, this microcapsule permits glucose penetration into the core space and GOD reaction proceeds. However, when P-NIPAM-co-AA gates are hydrophobic at low pH value, this microcapsule forbids glucose penetration and GOD reaction will not occur. The accuracy of this concept was examined.

Improvement of the Reliability Graph with General Gates to Analyze the Reliability of Dynamic Systems That Have Various Operation Modes

  • The safety of nuclear power plants is analyzed by a probabilistic risk assessment, and the fault tree analysis is the most widely used method for a risk assessment with the event tree analysis. One of the well-known disadvantages of the fault tree is that drawing a fault tree for a complex system is a very cumbersome task. Thus, several graphical modeling methods have been proposed for the convenient and intuitive modeling of complex systems. In this paper, the reliability graph with general gates (RGGG) method, one of the intuitive graphical modeling methods based on Bayesian networks, is improved for the reliability analyses of dynamic systems that have various operation modes with time. A reliability matrix is proposed and it is explained how to utilize the reliability matrix in the RGGG for various cases of operation mode changes. The proposed RGGG with a reliability matrix provides a convenient and intuitive modeling of various operation modes of complex systems, and can also be utilized with dynamic nodes that analyze the failure sequences of subcomponents. The combinatorial use of a reliability matrix with dynamic nodes is illustrated through an application to a shutdown cooling system in a nuclear power plant.

동적 퍼지 추론에 의한 방류량 조절 가능 댐 수문 제어 (Controlling of Dam Gates with Outflow Control by Dynamic Fuzzy Inference)

  • 댐의 수문 제어는 유입량이 변하는 동안 이루어지는 복잡하고 비선형적인 제어이다. 이 논문에서는 퍼지 추론 기법을 이용하여 유입량이 변하는 동안의 수문을 효과적으로 제어하기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 특히 단순히 수문 제어에만 머물지 않고 가뭄 때를 대비하여 적정 수위를 유지할 수 있도록 하는 기능과, 하류 지역을 범람을 예방하기 위하여 방류량을 제어할 수 있도록 하는 기능을 보완하였다. 이를 위하여 일반적으로 사용되는 정적인 퍼지 함수를 이용하지 않고 상황에 따라 함수 값이 변하는 동적 퍼지 추론 기법과 방류량 제어를 위한 퍼지 규칙을 함께 적용함으로써 방류량을 제한할 수 있도록 하는 기법을 제안하였다. 제안한 기법을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 실험을 실시한 결과 수문 제어 기능뿐만 아니라 사용자가 지정한 적정 수위를 유지하고 정해진 방류량을 넘지 않도록 하는 방식으로 댐 수문 제어가 이루어짐을 확인할 수 있었다.

REVIEW OF VARIOUS DYNAMIC MODELING METHODS AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTUITIVE MODELING METHOD FOR DYNAMIC SYSTEMS

  • Conventional static reliability analysis methods are inadequate for modeling dynamic interactions between components of a system. Various techniques such as dynamic fault tree, dynamic Bayesian networks, and dynamic reliability block diagrams have been proposed for modeling dynamic systems based on improvement of the conventional modeling methods. In this paper, we review these methods briefly and introduce dynamic nodes to the existing reliability graph with general gates (RGGG) as an intuitive modeling method to model dynamic systems. For a quantitative analysis, we use a discrete-time method to convert an RGGG to an equivalent Bayesian network and develop a software tool for generation of probability tables.

GT rotary file을 이용한 근관성형법과 충전방법의 비교 (COMPARISON OF CANAL SHAPING METHODS WITH GTTM ROTARY FILE AND CONDENSATION METHODS)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the shaping time of two shaping methods and the leakage of three different obturation techniques. Ninty three canaled human molar teeth were used, which were randomly divided into two groups of forty teeth each and ten control teeth. After working length determination, the one group was prepared crown-down technique using rotary root canal instruments of GT rotary files .12/20, .10/20, .08/20 and .06/20 taper(Maillefer Instrument SA. Switzerland). The other group was instrumented with Gates Glidden burs(#1, #2, and #3) to coronal preparation and GT rotary files .08/20 and .06/30 taper to apical preparation. Shaping time was measured. After root canals were instrumented, they were divided to three subgroups and obturated as follows : Subgroup 1, obturated with single cone method Subgroup 2, obturated with lateral condensation : Subgroup 3, obturated with continuous wave technique. Three subgroups were obturated using non-standardized gutta-percha cone(Diadent, Korea, .06 or .08 taper) and AH-26(Dentsply DeTrey, Germany) as a root canal cement. Ten unobturated teeth served as positive and negative controls. After immersion in 2% methylene blue solution for 1 month, the teeth were washed during 24h. The teeth were demineralized in 10% nitric acid and dehydrated by immersion in 80, 90 and 100% ethyl alcohol. The teeth were finally cleared and stored in 100% methylsalicylate, and apical dye penetration was evaluated under stereomicroscope(Leica M420, LC, U.S.A)at $\times$8.75 magnification. Liner measurement of dye penetration was assessed with the use of digitalized image analysing system (analySIS, GmbH, Germany) The data were analysed statistically using independent T-test and Two-way ANOVA and Tukey test. The result were as follows 1. In canal prepared with GT$^{TM}$ rotary file, shaphing time taked more than the group of using Gates Glidden drill to coronal preparation without statistical significance (p>0.05) 2. The group of single cone obturation using canal preparation of GT$^{TM}$ rotary files showed significantly more apical leakage than those of lateral condensation and continuous wave technique regardless of shaping method (p<0.05). 3 The group of single cone obturation using canal preparation of GT$^{TM}$ rotary files and Gates Glidden drill showed significantly more apical leakage than those of continuous wave technique regardless of shaping method (p<0.05). 4. Regardless of shaping method, The group of continuous wave obturation showed less apical leakage than those of lateral condensation without statistical significance (p>0.05). 5. The group of single cone obturation using canal preparation of GT$^{TM}$ rotary files and Gates Glidden drill showed more apical leakage than the group of lateral condensation using same shaping method with-out statistical significance (p>0.05).

신 공여자에서 신장 깊이 측정에 따른 사구체여과율의 비교에 관한 고찰 (Study on Glomerular Filtration Rate comparison according to renal depth measurement of kidney donors)

  • $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA 신장 신티그래피는 신공여자에게서 사구체 여과율을 평가하고, 신장 이식 가능여부를 결정하는데 있어 중요한 지표가 된다. 사구체 여과율을 측정하는데 이용되는 Gates법은 신장 깊이, 주사량, 순 신장 계수의 3가지 변수들을 고려해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 3가지 변수 중 신장 깊이 측정방법에 따른 신공여자의 사구체 여과율 변화를 비교 평가하고자 한다. 2013년 10월부터 2014년 3월까지 본원에 내원하여 복부 CT와 $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA 사구체 여과율 검사를 시행한 32명의 신공여자를 대상으로 하였다. CT에서의 횡단면 영상과 감마카메라에서 획득한 측면 영상으로 신장 깊이를 측정하고, 신장 깊이 산출 공식인 Tonnesen, Taylor, Itoh법과 비교하였다. GE사의 Xeleris Ver. 2.1220을 이용하여 신장 깊이에 따른 사구체 여과율을 산출한 후, 혈청 크레아티닌 수치를 이용한 MDRD(Modification of Diet Renal Disease) 사구체 여과율과 비교 분석하였다. CT와 감마카메라 영상에서 측정한 신장 깊이는 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 사구체 여과율은 Tonessen 공식을 적용하여 산출한 값이 최소치로 나타났고, CT 영상에서의 신장 깊이를 대입하여 산출한 값이 최대치로 나타났으며, 이를 적용한 사구체 여과율은 16.62%의 차이를 보였다. MDRD 사구체 여과율은 Taylor, Itoh, CT 및 감마카메라에서의 신장 깊이를 적용한 값에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나 (p>0.05), Tonnesen 공식을 적용하여 산출한 값에서는 유의하게 나타났다(p < 0.05). CT 측정값을 대입하여 산출한 사구체 여과율 또한 MDRD, Taylor, Itoh, 감마카메라에서의 측정 깊이를 적용한 산출값과는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나(p > 0.05), Tonnesen 공식을 적용하여 산출한 값에서는 유의하게 나타났다(p < 0.05). 본 연구에서는 신공여자에게서 $^{99m}Tc$-DTPA를 이용한 사구체 여과율 평가 시 Tonnesen 공식을 적용한 Gates법이 MDRD 사구체 여과율에 비하여 과소평가됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서, MDRD 사구체 여과율과 검사 결과 산출된 값이 큰 차이를 보이는 경우 기존 Gates법에 적용되는 Tonnesen 방정식을 대신하여 Itoh 방정식을 적용 하거나 영상을 기반으로 측정한 신장 깊이를 적용하면 보다 정확한 사구체 여과율 평가가 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

가우시안 정규기저를 갖는 GF(2n)의 곱셈에 대한 오류 탐지 (Fault Detection Architecture of the Field Multiplication Using Gaussian Normal Bases in GF(2n)

  • 본 논문에서는 가우시안 정규기저를 갖는 유한체 $GF(2^n)$의 곱셈기 오류 탐지 방법을 제시한다. 제안하는 오류 탐지 방법은 하드웨어로 단순하게 구성된다. 즉 n-bit 출력 직렬 곱셈기에서는 1 개의 AND gate, n+1 개의 XOR gate, 그리고 1 개의 1-bit register로 구성되며, 병렬 곱셈기의 경우 n 개의 AND gate와 2n-1 개의 XOR gate로 구성된다. 제안하는 방법은 C=AB 연산에 홀수개의 오류가 발생하는 경우 탐지가 된다.

  • Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) cover all the applications involving the use of Evolutionary Computation in electronic system design. It is largely applied to complex optimization problems. EAs introduce a new idea for automatic design of electronic systems; instead of imagine model, ions, and conventional techniques, it uses search algorithm to design a circuit. In this paper, a method for automatic optimization of the digital circuit design method has been introduced. This method is based on randomized search techniques mimicking natural genetic evolution. The proposed method is an iterative procedure that consists of a constant-size population of individuals, each one encoding a possible solution in a given problem space. The structure of the circuit is encoded into a one-dimensional genotype as represented by a finite string of bits. A number of bit strings is used to represent the wires connection between the level and 7 types of possible logic gates; XOR, XNOR, NAND, NOR, AND, OR, NOT 1, and NOT 2. The structure of gates are arranged in an $m{\times}n$ matrix form in which m is the number of input variables.

디치논리 함수를 이용한 신호처리 연구 (A Study on Signal Processing Using Multiple-Valued Logic Functions)

  • In this paper, the input-output interconnection method of the multi-valued signal processing circuit using perfect Shuffle technique and Kronecker product is discussed. Using this method, the design method of circuit of the multi-valued Reed-Muller expansions(MRME) to be used the multi-valued signal processing on finite field GF(p**m) is presented. The proposed input-output interconnection method is shown that the matrix transform is efficient and that the module structure is easy. The circuit design of MRME on FG(p**m) is realized following as` 1) contructing the baisc gates on GF(3) by CMOS T gate, 2) designing the basic cells to be implemented the transform and inverse transform matrix of MRME using these basic gates, 3) interconnecting these cells by the input-output interconnecting method of the multivalued signal processing circuits. Also, the circuit design of the multi-valued signal processing function on GF(3\ulcorner similar to Winograd algorithm of 3x3 array of DFT (discrete fourier transform) is realized by interconnection of Perfect Shuffle technique and Kronecker product. The presented multi-valued signal processing circuits that are simple and regular for wire routing and posses the properties of concurrency and modularity are suitable for VLSI.
