코안다 노즐을 이용한 배기가스 재순환 장치의 형상에 따른 재순환 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recirculation Flow Characteristics with the Change of Shape in a Flue Gas Recirculation Device using Coanda Nozzle)

  • 본 연구는 폐기물 소각로에서 질소산화물 저감을 위해 고온의 배기가스를 연소로에서 재순환하여 연소용 공기와 혼합하여 배기가스 재순환을 이용한 방법에서 고온의 배기가스를 별도의 동력 팬이 없이 코안다 노즐을 이용한 배기가스 재순환 장치에 관한 연구이다. 코안다 노즐에서 공기 공급 노즐 간극의 변화와 공기 공급 노즐의 위치에 따른 배기가스 재순환 유량 특성과 혼합 가스의 출구에서 평균온도 변화를 살펴보았다. 공기 공급 노즐의 간극이 3.22, 4.03, 4.84 mm로 변할 때 가장 좁은 3.22 mm일 때가 배기가스 재순환 유량과 공기 공급 유량의 비인 배기가스 재순환 유량비가 2.227로 가장 재순환 유량이 크게 나타났고 혼합가스 평균 온도는 $594.8^{\circ}C$로 나타났다. 공기 공급 노즐의 위치가 코안다 노즐 목의 전방 위치, 목 위치, 확관 위치로 변할 때를 살펴보았으며 전방 위치와 목 위치일 때는 재순환 유량비가 1.843으로 거의 같은 값이고 확관 위치에서는 1.696으로 나타났으며 평균 온도는 $559.8^{\circ}C$$544.3^{\circ}C$로 나타났다.

  • Closing switch, key component of pulsed power system, is constructed simply and used frequently due to the easy control and manufacture of one. The kind of one are spark-gap, triggered vacuum switch, pseudo-spark switch and INPIStron. But the electrode of spark gap switch is damaged with the hot spot by Z-pinch and then the life of one become short. INPIStron with inverse pinch effect has long life but it is difficult trigger system to provide uniform discharge between cathode and anode. In this paper, the design and manufacturing of INPIStron with gas puffing trigger method in order to supply uniform discharge inter-electrode and the performance of the developed INPIStron applied to 500[kA]-2[MJ] pulsed power system is presented.

Optimum Design of Packaged Skid for Oil & Gas Plant

  • The use of packaged skid in oil and gas plant has increased dramatically over the decades, replacing loose supply equipment. Most equipment is installed on structural skid in manufacturer's shop. As Oil and Gas Plants are constructed at inaccessible area, the demands of packaged skids are increased. The packaged skid have advantages comparing to loose supply equipment in inaccessible area. The packaged skid is small complex plant consists of process, mechanical, piping, instrument, electrical and structural steel. This paper examines advantages and problems of packaged skid, based on previous experience. EPC company consider key factors such as manufacturing period, construction periods, equipment quality and costs.

흡입용 PEMWE형 수소 발생기에서 증류수 공급 방법이 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Distilled Water Supply Method on Performance of PEMWE Typed Hydrogen Generators for Inhalation)

  • The present study has investigated the performance of hydrogen gas generators for inhalation purposes based on polyelectrolyte membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE). The system applied two watering methods. One is pumped water (pumping system) and the other is gravity-fed water without a pump (non-pumping system). The cell efficiencies were compared by measuring the cell voltage and temperature in the hydrogen gas generator, respectively. The results show that the cell voltage and temperature increase with the cell current. The cell temperature is lower in the pumping system than that in the non-pumping system at a given cell current. Even though the amount of hydrogen production is the same regardless of the pumping system, the cell efficiency of the hydrogen gas generator in the non-pumping system is better than that in the pumping system.

액화석유가스 용기의 자연 증발량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Natural Evaporation Capacity of LPG Container)

  • 체적거래제에 의하여 소규모 공동주택에 가스를 공급하기 위하여 적절한 용기설치수의 결정 및 용기교체시기에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 그러나 지금까지 국내에 축적된 자료가 없을 뿐만 아니라 용기 설치수의 결정과 용기수 및 가스사용 형태에 따라 용기교체시 남아 있는 액화석유가스 양에 대한 이론적 검토가 없었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자연기화능력, 잔량, 용기의 온도, 용기내부 압력 등을 시뮬레이션으로 살펴보았다. 용기표면으로부터 액화석유가스 용기의 총괄 열전달계수의 변화에 따른 자연기화량 변화는 크지 않으며, 실험으로부터 구한 값은 약 $9{\~}13 kcal/m^2{\cdot}hr{\cdot}^{\circ}C$이었다. 그리고 액화석유가스 용기내부의 압력이 압력조정기의 압력조정 하한계에 도달하였을 때 가스방출 유량은 공기로부터 전달되는 열량과 균형을 이루는 일정한 값으로 급격히 감소하였다. LP가스용기의 자연기화능력은 외기온도 및 프로판의 조성에 따라 증가하였고, 연속사용시간에 따라 초기 급격히 감소하여 일정한 값으로 수렴하였다. 한 가구당 용기수는 자동절체기 사용에 의하여 감소시킬 수 있는 것을 알 수 있다.

CNG차량의 연료공급라인용 Check Valve Seal의 거동해석 (Analysis of Check Valve Seal for CNG Vehicle Fuel Supply Line)

  • In CNG (Compressed natural gas) fuel supply line, whose main components are receptacle and check valve are used to charge high pressure gas to the tank of NGV (Natural gas vehicle). It is reported that the seal is separated occasionally form valve seat and results in blockage of gas flow. In this paper, MARC is used to investigate the reasons of seal separation and suggest design improvements. The static gas pressure distributions acting on the seal which calculated using FLUENT are considered to investigate accurate seal deformation behaviors. Deformed seal shapes are obtained for various amounts of seal interference and its location, gas pressure distributions and Young's modulus of the rubber used. The results showed that the reasons of seal separation problems are verified theoretically, and suggested examples of new design method. Therefore the present numerical methods can be applied in designing and performance analysis of rubber seals adopted in high pressure fluid machineries.

Use of In-Situ Optical Emission Spectroscopy for Leak Fault Detection and Classification in Plasma Etching

  • In-situ optical emission spectroscopy (OES) is employed for leak detection in plasma etching system. A misprocessing is reported for significantly reduced silicon etch rate with chlorine gas, and OES is used as a supplementary sensor to analyze the gas phase species that reside in the process chamber. Potential cause of misprocessing reaches to chamber O-ring wear out, MFC leaks, and/or leak at gas delivery line, and experiments are performed to funnel down the potential of the cause. While monitoring the plasma chemistry of the process chamber using OES, the emission trace for nitrogen species is observed at the chlorine gas supply. No trace of nitrogen species is found in other than chlorine gas supply, and we found that the amount of chlorine gas is slightly fluctuating. We successfully found the root cause of the reported misprocessing which may jeopardize the quality of thin film processing. Based on a quantitative analysis of the amount of nitrogen observed in the chamber, we conclude that the source of the leak is the fitting of the chlorine mass flow controller with the amount of around 2-5 sccm.

혼합정수계획법을 이용한 천연가스(LNG) 산업의 자가발전소 건설에 대한 경제성 분석 (Economics of Self-Generation by Natural Gas Industry Using the Mixed Integer Program)

  • Seasonal variation of natural gas demand coupled with rigid and stable import pattern of gas represents the characteristic feature of the Korean Liquified Natural Gas(LNG) industry. This attribute has required a huge amount of investment for the construction of storage facility. Thus, to minimize the supply cost, it is legitimate to reduce storage requirement itself. In this study, we combine three alternative methods to deal with the storage requirement to minimize the supply cost. Those are (1) adding additional storage tanks, (2) inducing large firm customers, and (3) constructing gas-turbine self generation facilities. Methodologically, we employ the mixed integer program (MIP) to optimize the system. The model also consider demand and price-setting scheme in separate modules. From the results, it is shown that if alternatives are combined optimally, a number of storage tanks can be reduced substantially compared with the original capacity plan set by the industry authorities. We perform various sensitivity analyses to check the robustness of the results. The methodology presented in this study can be applied to the other physical network industry, such as hydraulics. The empirical results will shed some light on the rationalization of capacity planning of the Korean natural gas industry.
