  • Although many studies have considered the outcomes and impacts of serious games, little is known about the factors which affect a user's perception or interpretation in games during the process of decision making from theoretical perspectives. This study aimed to explore the process of user perception from the perspective of construal level theory, and to suggest a theoretical design approach for the development of effective serious games. In the current study, cognitive and affective learning outcomes were articulated through literature review and synthesized into a series of assumptions with persuasive and educational aspects in serious games. Serious games reflect the potential of the game mechanism for changing players' perception, and helping with knowledge acquisition of the users. The potential to use construal level theory for effective serious games interventions was suggested, and a Serious Games Design Framework was proposed via potential outcomes from recent advanced research. Finally, implications of the application of the suggested model with various-related purposes and directions for future research were discussed. The model could be useful not only for game researchers and designers, but also for game marketers in attracting potential consumers.

  • Online game has been made of total products which user was given the experimental properties of a variety such as fun and the total of hardware and software products. Through this processes, The company earned a profitable benefits, in addition to the user was given satisfactory service. In this sense the parts of the game production process, the service earlier in the game testing a variety of ways needs to the user through the game as a condition for providing the content can be. Contact a professional game testing job is done systematically through the game's completion of a game developed by companies to see that service to complement previous significant. • This Study suggests the user-friendly game playing method of rhythm dance game focusing on the natural interaction between music and user's movement. When the existing rhythm dance games have given the limitation to users, this study chose the game playing method using beat that is consist of basic element in dance music for minimizing the limitation. Beat feeling method automatically figures out each body position value extracted with Kinect that divided into three parts of shoulder, knee, and head. Accoring to this process, users can play the game to individual dance style, not fixed rules for game.

  • Due to the advent of high performance feature-phone and smart-phone, the scale of mobile games and the member of developers are increased rapidly. The production process of mobile games is changing to meet these needs. Tools for efficient program development are produced worldwide, but tool's research for the event direction is inadequate. In the event direction, the game designers play more important roles than programmers. In this paper, we develop the mobile game event direction tool for game designers. And we make the events of the released mobile games to test the efficiency and usefulness of tool that we developed. The result shows that the performance is enhanced about 15% in development period.

  • We think that it is important to develop the metadata for educational game. Because they are applicable to game contents, separate learning sources and studying components in the game-based LCMS. But markets of eduainment and educational games are newborn field, so systematic development of metadata is not advanced yet. Therefore in this paper, we first established the design process of educational game metadata, and then according to the rule, we suggested this as a prototype. And we defined the extracted data as metadata for educational game through inspection of an expert group. If these metadata prototype are operated by adopting through standardization stage of public institutes, we can provide the convenience of searching, managing and recycling these metadata to learner, instructor and the developing institute. And we can also expect the prevention of overlapping investment.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest ways to design gamification to improve the game and digital addiction. For the study, 782 of gmaification cases were collected and game mechanics and fun experience were analyzed by 4F process which is to design the effective gamification. To find the specific pattern, apriori algorithm, which is to find associated rules in transaction is applied to the 782 cases. According to the results, 63 of game mechanics associated rules are found. In the fun experience, 37 of associated rules are found. Based on the result, this study suggest the direction of gamification design for game and digital addiction improvement.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest some policy and theoretical implications for the youth's internet game addiction by analyzing the moderating effects of social support in the relationship of Oiettolie propensity and game addiction behaviors. For the purpose of this study, this study set a research model about the causal relationships among the study variables by reviewing previous studies and surveyed high school students for this research. The analytical results of this study are the followings. First, lack of communication and impulsivity have significant influences on Oiettolie propensity. Second, Oiettolie propensity has a significant influence on youth's game addiction. Third, social support moderates the relationship between Oiettolie propensity and youth's internet game addition. This study suggests some implications for the youth internet game addiction.
