This study looks at the social implications of gaming disorder by considering the situation in Korea. Focusing on specificity of game genres, this study analyzed two aspects of the game playing effect-positive(cognitive needs) and negative(game addiction)-and suggested directions for game regulation policies and game addiction studies, since game playing effects are closely related to game regulatory policy. To analyze game effects and attitudes to regulations, this study performed regression analysis based on the online survey. Results show that game playing effects and attitudes toward game regulation differ based on the nature of game genres. While longer gaming increased the effect of addiction, it also increased cognitive needs. Playing roleplaying, Aeon of Strife, and strategy game genres(RAS), which are subject to game regulation, increased game addiction levels but simultaneously contributed to increased cognitive needs. While playing augmented reality genres positively affected cognitive needs, it also showed favorable attitudes to general game regulation.

This study examines whether online game motivation, with social and expedition needs, are associated with the degree of loneliness among young adolescents. Using data from a survey of 2014 elementary-, middle- and high-school students in South Korea, a three-wave online survey was conducted to collect data from online players. Two latent growth cause-and-effect models were developed to test whether online game motivation influences degree of loneliness. Results showed that both social and expedition needs are positively associated with loneliness. This study contributes to the knowledge of the underlying needs for a player with loneliness and also highlights the social and expedition needs as potential therapeutic factors.

Based on the result, I suggest that Internet gaming should be recognized as a tool to relieve stress for college students, But it is not satisfied with the reality in virtual space. Therefore, the strategy must be to recognize reality accompanying. And Using a lot of time in cyberspace make them cause of internet game addiction. Therefore, it requires a systematic strategy for the Internet using time limits. Also the emotional needs met were motivated to repeat an Internet game. Artificial life is a science studying artificial systems that implement various behavioral characteristics of lives as an attempt of applying some features found in living creatures to artificial intelligent objects in virtual worlds. Attempts and researches are actively being made to apply human needs to games and express them through artificial life. Human needs and the expression of the needs are extremely diverse and complicated, so they cannot be modeled in a specific way. Thus this study modeled game AI object needs using AHP, which is a useful model in solving problems quantitatively through basic observation of human nature, analytic thinking, measuring, etc. In addition, the modeled game AI object needs were examined through the analysis of performance sensitivity and their applicability to actual games was assessed with example.

There are general surveys on factors related to game addiction. However, less is known about the relationships between game addiction, therapeutic catharsis seeking, and game and life self-efficacy in terms of desired needs. This study sought to clarify several of these relationships. Using data from a survey of 489 online game users, we conducted a regression analysis to explore the association between therapeutic aspects (therapeutic catharsis seeking and game and life self-efficacy), psychological problems (loneliness and depression), and demographic variables (age and gender). Results showed that both therapeutic catharsis seeking and game self-efficacy increase game addiction. The implications of these results are discussed.
The future of the game industry depends on developing contents. Especially a high level game needs all kinds of scenarios. Therefore, it is important to popularize writing game scenarios. Scientific scenario study is also needed to educate talented scenario writers and game designers. This is a case study on interactive elements of the game scenario, such as items, puzzles, and events. In conclusion, when these interactive elements becoming smoothly one parts of the game the game is now perfectly finished, rather than disturbing the process of the game story. I hope that this study is some helpful to game developers.

To implement a cloud game service platform supporting multiple users and devices based on real-time streaming, there are many technical needs, including game screen and sound capturing, audio/video encoding in real time created by a high-performance server-generated game screen, and real-time streaming to client devices, such as low-cost PCs, smart devices, and set-top boxes. We therefore present a game service platform for the running and management of the game screen, as well as running the sound on the server, in which the captured and encoded game screen and sound separately provide client devices through real-time streaming. The proposed platform offers Web-based services that allow game play on smaller end devices without requiring the games to be installed locally.
