Effects of Game Development Organization on Game Development Result (게임개발 조직의 특성이 게임개발 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to find out how to improve the efficiency of game development by analyzing the effects of the characteristics of game development organization on game development performance. The characteristics of the game development organization were set as independent variables, consisting of game project management characteristics, PM characteristics, game development team characteristics, and organizational culture. Game performance is divided into game project performance and game development final performance. As a result, the characteristics of the four game development organizations were found to be a significant factors in the game project performance and game development final performance. This study suggests that the environment that can focus on game development and appropriate management education for managers are needed to enhance the competence of members in game development team.

  • The objective of this paper is to systematically establish the development of game software through the fusion of game implementation and component methodology. The development of game software has inconsistently accomplished without the consistent frame for the analysis and design of game development in the domestic environments. Therefore in case of the development of game software based on game component, although a lot of resources were required in the initial the accumulation of experience and the technology of reuse lead to the efficiency of the maintenance ultimately.

  • This study critically analyzes the present situation of the domestic game industry that infringes game nature or diversity, which is the essence of game contents such as copycat, auto play, excessive billing inducement, indiscriminate advertisement developed by focusing on commercial aspect, It suggests the necessity of creative and various game development environment. It suggests development direction for the development of domestic game industry through game case analysis which shows the possibility of game media out of existing success formula and does not concentrate only on commerciality and makes effort to give new fun to users.

  • A smart robot game, which is one of the new type expanding the market through coding education classes recently, has a characteristic to manipulate digital games with a smart-phone while using a robot instead of existing games. Under the same rules, the virtual world's game is connected to real world's robot through a smart-phone, and the game is played while exchanging data. This study analyzes smart robot game by dividing them into media features, digital game features, and playful features. In addition, we developed the game based on the board game genre that has the general rules while using the derived development features. As a result, by presenting the case of development of smart robot board game, we would like to propose the points to be considered in the development of smart robot game.

  • Recently, the number of users has risen sharply while the development speed of the Chinese game industry is rapidly developing. The game industry has already become a promising industry in China's cultural industry. With the rapid development of the Chinese game industry, the demand for specialized game designers and game development personnel is urgent. Still, at present, it is difficult for graduates to get a job at a game company every year even if a new game design department is established at a Chinese university. This may be due to a conflict between the education of the game major in the game market. In this paper, we present a customized development strategy while summarizing the problems that existed in the Chinese game design department in the rapidly developing background of the game industry, Try to provide a valuable opinion. and use it as a reference for the future development of education in the Chinese game major.

  • The changes in the game platform is appeared since the advent of smart-phones. Apple's iOS or Google's Android platform is gradually expanding their territories in the mobile game area. Android's platform fragmentation and the absence of game development framework act as barriers for game developments. In the development of game applications on the smart-phone, the standardized development procedures under game framework can achieve the productivity improvement. In this paper, we propose a new design pattern suitable for the design of a framework for new areas of application through the expansion of existing framework. The design and implementation of the Android game development framework is presented by taking advantage of existing design patterns and a proposed pattern. Also we propose the standardized development procedure of game applications under the proposed framework.

  • The portable game market is growing so fast recently. However, the development activities of domestic game development companies have been very week, which is mainly due to the lack of efficient and economical game development library solutions. This paper deals with how to implement 2D game library for SONY PSP game console that is very popular thesedays as a portable game console. We have ported the open source SDL library to PSP. Consequently, developers could develop games in PC environment and port it to PSP very easly based on the game library

  • There arose problems of double investment about the game engine part when a lot of game software similar to the property and procedure processed in the game engine develop new game without the reference or reuse in the other games. In particular, using various software development processes is one of main problems of double investment when the enterprises for the game software development develop games now Accordingly, because it does not make standardization of process about the game engine, it does not understand and reuse products created in process of the other software development process in development now. Accordingly, the newly analyzed and designed software was big problems with the present game software about the game engine process similar to the other game software when the enterprises for any game software develop a special game. For solving these problems, this study is to suggest the process improvement about the game engine development, analysis of structure and relation, classification and combination method by the class and module, implementation of storage, and processor model in order to apply the development method based on the component.

  • Construct2 Game Engine is development by in United Kingdom production company Scirra. Construct 2 game engine to be used globally, the most excellent technical strength and visibility in the 2D game engine has grown to high engine. The game engine created by the 'Kongbin&Domino'. 'Kongbin&Domino' game, it began commercialization in the Google store and Apple's App Store. It advances the quality evaluation of the case of the production process and the game engine. Researched that can contribute to a better production. In the future, throughout the Research, it is to be contributed to the development of the game industry is conducting research to support the game development process which can be facilitated by the game content creation.

3D Content Design & Implementation of VR Horseback Riding Game

  • Various 3D contents are being developed using Unity 3D game engine. In this paper, the 3D content of horseback riding game, the first VR game in the country, is designed and developed. The existing riding simulator is investigated and compared to the VR riding game developed. We consider various games developed using Unity 3D game engine and serve previously developed tangible games. It is expected that development of VR riding games will prepare a new chapter in VR experience-type games. We propose the content development environment and scenario of VR riding game and present the main algorithms and main modules for real-time synchronization. The developed riding game contents are deployed to the riding system and are operated for commercial use in conjunction with the riding device. Through monitoring VR riding system, problems are derived and improvement measures are proposed. We offer a variety of additional development options to make the game more realistic in the future.
