The 3D game graphic technology has become an important factor in the contents field with the game contents development. In particular, game character technology provides a realistic technique and visual pleasure, as well as an intermediate step in the immersion of the game in which the game might create an optical illusion that enables the player to enjoy heroic adventure in the game. The high expression level of characters in 3D games is a key factor in the development process, with details and carefulness of the character setting work [3]. In this paper, we propose a character representative technique applied to mobile games using mathematical model of radiosity energy, spectral radiance model, and ray tracing model method using 3D unity game engine with sensible AI algorithm for game implementation. As a practical application to the game contents, it was found that the projection of the surface in the rendering process and the game simulation might change according to the lighting condition of the game content environment, so that the high quality of game characters was simulated.
A quest system is one of the important parts in the MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) contents. Because of its complexity in combining various content components, quest reward design belongs to a complicated work in estimating quest reward levels correctly in the initial development stage. In this paper, we suggest a new quest reward design technique by considering optimal quest play paths. We model a quest reward problem as the TSP (Traveling Salesman Problem) and solve that by adopting genetic algorithms. With our system, game designers easily estimate the optimal quest play path and it can be useful in reducing the trial-errors in the initial quest design process.
The objective of this study is to develop an analytic framework to code systematically the gamer's behaviour in MMO(Massively Multi-player Online) gameplay experience, to explore their gameplay as a problem solving procedure empirically. Previous studies about model human processor, content based protocol, and procedure based protocol are reviewed in order to build the outline of the analytic framework related to MMO gameplay. The specific gameplay actions and contents were derived by using concurrent protocol analysis method through the empirical experiment executed in MMORPG gameplay. Consequently, gameplay are divided into six actions : kinematics, perception, function, representation, simulation, and rule (heuristics, following, and transcedence). The analytic framework suitable for MMO gameplay was built. As a result of this study, we found three rule spaces in the problem solving domain of gameplay that are an heuristics, a following of the rule, and a transcendence of the rule. 'Heuristics' denotes the rule action that discovers the rule of game through trial-and-error. 'Following' indicates the rule action that follows the rule of game embedded in game by game designers. 'Transcendence' presents the rule action that transcends that. The new discovered rule spaces where 'Following' and 'Transcendence' actions occur and the gameplay pattern in them is provided with the key basis to determine the level design elements of MMO game, such as terrain feature, monster attribute, item, and skill et cetera. Therefore, this study is concludes with key implications to support game design to improve the quality of MMO game product.

In this paper, we propose a win-win network operating platform for mobile games. The characteristics of the service structure suggested is to form a marketing network that can influence the mobile game market by linking with the mobile game industry, and the excellent game content of the game developer in the industrial complex may not disappear. We also would like to propose a network operating platform that would help it enter the market area steadily. The proposed platform technology is used to distribute rapidly through a win-win network between game companies and publishers. When new games are commercialized, they can support continuous target marketing through various data indicators and analytics by the developed platform. In particular, G-Cross marketing strategy is considered to be a low-cost, high-efficiency marketing method in that it can provide users with information about new games by utilizing the given game infrastructure and utilize the user group possessed by each game company.
The Uncanny Valley phenomenon has already been deemed as theoretical, and the characteristics of game character expression elements for the Uncanny Valley phenomenon were recognized through case analysis as well. By theoretical consideration and case studies, it was found out that the influential elements of the Uncanny Valley phenomenon can be classified as two primary factors: character surface treatment and facial expression animation. The prepared experimental materials and adjectives were measured to be Five-Point Likert Scale. The measured results were evaluated for both influence and comparative analysis through essential statistical analysis and Repeated Measuring ANOVA in SPSS. The conclusions which were drawn from this research are as follows: The surface treatment of characters did not substantially affect the Uncanny Valley phenomenon. Instead, character's expression animation had a significant impact on the Uncanny Valley phenomenon, which also led to another conclusion that the facial expression animation had an overall deeper impact on Uncanny Valley phenomenon compared with character's surface treatment. It was the unnatural facial expression animation that controlled all of the independent variables and also caused the Uncanny Valley phenomenon. In order for game characters to evade the Uncanny Valley phenomenon and enhance game immersion, the facial expression animation of the character must be done spontaneously.
Online games are virtual space where it connects individual users through network connection to offer enjoyment of play games and game developer who service online games have to develop new contents and provide them to users to extend life of their service. Typically, in order to update new contents, all service companies have maintenance schedule to stop the game service for a while to update both server and client applications. Usually this process takes quite amount of time and users do not have any other choice but disconnected from server and wait until it is over. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the advantages of new design system which will allows users to continue to play the game even during the update. The main focus of this design is to make users feel more convenience in online gaming experience by move client from previous server to new server while users are still playing. If they can to connect current client with new server without any certificate validation process while users information from the client can automatically pass through to the new server, users may not need to experience maintenance for new contents update.

With the continuous development of the game field, the subdivision of game types is becoming more and more precise. There are also more and more games that draw on some achievements in other fields in their game design. Among them are meta-fiction games based on metafiction. This article will explore whether the combination of a meta-fiction game and a side-scrolling game with a unique visual experience is appropriate. If the side-scrolling game is the external form of the game, then the meta-fiction game is the internal content core of the game. The degree of fit between the external form and the internal core will undoubtedly determine the lower limit and upper limit of the game quality. Based on alienation theory, this article takes several highly rated side-scrolling games on the market as examples to conduct a theoretical analysis on the compatibility of side-scrolling games and metafiction games. The analysis results suggest that compared to first-person games, side-scrolling games with a unique third-person perspective have the best compatibility with meta-games.

With the development of game technology, the realistic game graphics, interface technology, and various content services with immersion are being required in the content area. NUI has been developed through CLI and GUI. Unlike the conventional methods, it is an interface that could be the intuitive and realistic interface for human as a natural action realized. we propose a boxing simulation game using leap motion of it. Providing a realistic 3D experimental environment through VR headsets game, we also propose a method that can be calculated the scores if the user-controlled interface (fist) could be to punch the target (sandbag) of the internal in accordance with changes of the angle of target impact with the physical characteristics.

Whether it is an online game or a stand alone game, research will ultimately never stop to increase the degree of realistic expression of visual effects. Recently, realistic characters are appearing in games. Particularly, due to the development of virtual reality technology, RPG games with simulation-based realistic images are becoming popular. The player can experience the story of the game in the game and experience difficulty level by level. As other players, teammates, or enemy characters appear as realistic characters, and the episode of the game expands, the importance of realistic game characters is growing so that they can play more. Adding a realistic game character to a game based on a classic movie character gives the player a more realistic and interesting visual experience. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of realistic character style on the fun and visual effects of games.
Cyber bullying is increasing these days and becoming a serious social problem that gives rise to issues such as school violence and cyber crimes. We had developed a serious game-based education program for teenagers who are familiar with computer games. After pilot test the educational effect was also found to be high. I have found the followings in this case study. Serious game is effective media for cyber bullying prevention education. Second, cooperation between content experts and game development experts is essential to develop educational games.
