The Research on the GaP of Technical Efficiency in Korean Fishing Managements : The Case Study on the Off-shore Stow Nets Fishery (어업경영체간 생산효율성 격차 분석을 통한 정책방향 고찰 - 근해안강망어업을 중심으로 -)

  • Main target of fishing policy was enlargement of fishing catches in Korea after 1960s. This has caused sustainable decrease of the amount on the fisheries resource. In the result, fishing managements in Korea have suffered from aggravation of management. In this research, it is estimated the technical efficiency on Korean Off-shore Stow Nets Fishery that was made publication by Farrel in 1957. According to the analysis, Its were excessive to the gap of technical efficiency among Korean Off-shore Stow Nets Fishing boats. The gaps were excessive not only among each fishing managements but also by tonnage class and by region. Then we can recognize we need the change of Fishing Policy. That is, we should change for main target of fishing policy from enlargement of fishing catches to the policy of Price. And we should consider the supply of standard tonnage boats and specialization of fisheries by regions.

Wide Color Gamut Backlight from Three-band White LED

  • A Wide Color Gamut Backlight system was studied using a three-band white Light-Emitting Diode. A three-band white light-emitting diode (LED) was fabricated using an InGaN-based blue LED chip that emits 445-nm blue peak, and a green phosphor and red phosphor that emit 535-nm green and 621-nm red peak emissions, respectively, when excited by 450-nm blue light. Using for this three-band white LED, wide color gamut backlight unit (BLU) was attained. The luminance of BLU and CIE 1931 chromaticity coordinates was $1,700Cd/m^2$ and (0.337, 0.346). Color filter matching simulations for this configuration show that the three-band white LED backlight can be enhanced by up to 16% over conventional white LED backlight color gamut.

Shelf-Life Extension of Cooked Squid Using Modified Atmosphere Packaging (환경기체조절포장에 의한 자숙오징어의 Shelf-Life 연장)

  • An experiment was conducted for extension of shelf-life of cooked squid (Todarodes pacificus) using modified atmosphere packaging. The products were packed in a Ny/PE/LLDPE (0.015/0.045/0.040 mm) laminated film with air, vacuum, CO2 gas, and N2 gas, respectively, and then stored at 5$^{\circ}C$ and 2$0^{\circ}C$. Keeping qualities of the products were investigated by measuring moisture content, H, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), viable cell count, thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value, peroxide value (POV) and color value. Good qualities of the products stored at 5$^{\circ}C$were maintained at least 9 days, 11 days, more than 35 days and 24 days in air, vacuum, CO2 gas and N2 gas packaging products, respectively. In cases of 2$0^{\circ}C$ storage, however, the shelf-lives of all the products were only one day. The shelf-life extension of the products were observed in CO2 ga>N2 gas>vacuum>air packaging in order.

  • The cogging torque in the small BLDC motors used in the DVD driving system or HDD driving system can cause some serious vibration problem. In this paper, some core shapes that reduce cogging torque are found by using reluctance network method(RNM) for magnetic field analysis and genetic algorithm(GA) for optimization. The outer rotor type BLDC motor for the DVD ROM driving system has been optimized as an sample model.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve repeatability of a non-invasive blood glucose measurement. The portable NIR system that was newly integrated by our lab includes a tungsten halogen lamp, a specialized reflectance fiber optic probe and a photo diode array type InGaAs detector, which was developed by a microchip technology based on the lithography. Reflectance NIR spectra of finger tip were recorded by using a fiber optic probe. The probe was fixed in the system and subjects put their finger on the probe head. (omitted)

  • 양자점은 전자와 양공을 3차원으로 속박 시키므로 기존의 bulk나 양자우물보다 양자점을 이용한 레이저 다이오드의 경우 낮은 문턱 전류, 높은 미분이득 및 온도 안전성의 장점이 있을 거라 기대되고 있다. 그러나, 양자점은 낮은 areal coverage 때문에 높은 속박효율을 얻지 못하고 있다. 이러한 양자점의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 양자점을 양자우물 안에 성장시켜 운반자들의 포획을 향상시키는 방법들이 연구되고 있다. 양자우물 안에 양자점을 넣으면 양자우물이 운반자들의 포획을 증가 시키고, 열적 방출도 억제하여 온도 안정성이 향상 되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 광통신 대역의 1.3 ${\mu}m$ 경우, GaAs계를 이용하여 InAs 양자점을 strained InGaAs 박막을 우물층으로 한 dot-in-a-well 구조의 연구는 몇몇 보고된 바 있다. 그러나 InP계를 사용하는 1.55 ${\mu}m$ 대역에서 dot-in-a-well구조의 연구는 아직 미미하다. 본 연구에서는 유기 금속 화학 증착법(metal organic chemical vapor deposition)을 이용하여 InP 기판 위에 InAs 양자점을 자발성장법으로 성장하였으며 dot-in-a-well 구조에서 우물층으로 1.35 ${\mu}m$ 파장의 $In_{0.69}Ga_{0.31}As_{0.67}P_{0.33}$ (1.35Q)를, 장벽층으로는 1.1 ${\mu}m$ 파장의 $In_{0.85}Ga_{0.15}As_{0.32}P_{0.68}$(1.1Q)를 사용하였다. 양자우물층과 장벽층은 모두 InP 기판과 격자가 일치하는 조건으로 성장하였다. III족 원료로는 trimethylindium (TMI)와 trimethylgalium (TMGa)을 사용하였으며 V족 원료 가스로는 $PH_3$ 100%, $AsH_3$ 100%를, carrier gas로는 $H_2$를 사용하였다. InP buffer층의 성장 온도는 640$^{\circ}C$이며 양자점 성장 온도는 520$^{\circ}C$이다. 양자점 형성은 원자력간 현미경(Atomic force microscopy)를 이용하여 확인하였으며, 박막의 결정성은 쌍결정 회절분석(Double crystal x-ray deffractometry)를 이용하여 확인하였다. 확인된 성장 조건을 이용하여 양자점 시료를 성장하였으며 광여기분광법(Photoluminescence)을 이용하여 광특성을 분석하였다. Fig. 1은 dot in a barrier 와 dot-in-a-well 시료의 성장구조이다. Fig. 1(a)는 일반적인 dot-in-a-barrier 구조로 InP buffer층을 성장하고 1.1Q를 100 nm 성장한 후 양자점을 성장하였다. 그 후 1.1Q 100 nm와 InP 100 nm로 capping하였다. Fig. 1(b)는 dot-in-a-well 구조로 InP buffer층을 성장하고 1.1Q를 100 nm 성장 후 1.35Q 우물층을 4 nm 성장하였다. 그 위에 InAs 양자점을 성장하였다. 그 후에 1.35Q 우물층을 4 nm 성장하고 1.1Q 100 nm와 InP 100 nm로 capping하였다. Fig. 2는 dot-in-a-barrier 시료와 dot-in-a-well 시료의 상온 PL data이다. Dot-in-a-barrier 시료의 PL 파장은 1544 nm이며 반치폭은 79.70 meV이다. Dot-in-a-well 시료의 파장은 1546 nm이며 반치폭은 70.80 meV이다. 두 시료의 PL 파장 변화는 없으며, 반치폭은 dot-in-a-well 시료가 8.9 meV 감소하였다. Dot-in-a-well 시료의 PL peak 강도는 57% 증가하였으며 적분강도(integration intensity)는 45%가 증가하였다. PL 데이터에서 높은 에너지의 반치폭 변화는 없으며 낮은 에너지의 반치폭은 8 meV 감소하였다. 적분강도 증가에서 dot-in-a-well 구조가 dot-in-a-barrier 구조보다 전자-양공의 재결합이 증가한다는 것을 알 수 있으며, 반치폭 변화로부터 특히 높은 에너지를 갖는 작은 양자점에서의 재결합이 증가 된 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 양자우물이 장벽보다 전자-양공의 구속력을 증가시키기 때문에 양자점에 전자와 양공의 공급을 증가시키기 때문이다. 따라서 낮은 에너지를 가지는 양자점을 모두 채우고 높은 에너지를 가지는 양자점까지 채우게 되므로, 높은 에너지를 가지는 양자점에서의 전자-양공 재결합이 증가되었기 때문이다. 뿐만 아니라 파장 변화 없이 PL peak 강도와 적분강도가 증가하고 낮은 에너지 쪽의 반치폭이 감소한 것으로부터 에너지가 낮은 양자점보다는 에너지가 높은 양자점에서의 전자-양공 재결합율이 급증하였음을 알 수 있다. 우리는 이와 같은 연구에서 InP계를 이용해 1.55 ${\mu}m$에서도 dot in a well구조를 성장 하여 더 좋은 특성을 낼 수 있으며 앞으로 많은 연구가 필요할 것이라 생각한다.

A Study on Layout and Operation of Suk-seol-so and Jung-bae-seol-cheong at Court Banquets in the Late Joseon - Focusing on Uigwe(Ritual Manual) for Court Banquets - (조선후기 궁중연향 시 숙설소와 중배설청의 배치와 운영에 관한 연구 -궁중연향의궤를 중심으로-)

  • With regard to Gung-jung Yeon-hyang(宮中宴享; court banquet), the frequency of banquets that were held at one time beginning Mu-ja J in-jak(戊子進爵; a royal banquet held in 1828) in 1828 (the 28th year of King Sunjo (純祖)'s reign). In proportion to this frequency, there was an increase in the need and importance of Suk-seol-so(熟設所; a kitchen built in temporarily house for court banquet) and Jung-bae-seol-cheong(中排設廳; a temporary place to put offerings) as a space to assist court banquets. Although Suk-seol-so was a temporary but large-scale facility, it was frequently used for long periods. This facility was flexibly established using the variability of Dong-gung(東宮; Palace for Crown Prince) and enhanced the efficiency of censorship and security in conjunction with palace gates and Suk-wi-cheo(宿衛處; guard station, guard room). In addition, it was reused according to the period when the nation and royal family gave finances or banquets. Jung-bae-seol-cheong was established in the place connected to the central space of court banquets and worked as buffer space to resolve the tension on the day of the event. The location where Jung-bae-seol-cheong was established enabled us to confirm the applicability of Bok-do(複道; corridor) connected to Chimjeon(寢殿; royal residence) when holding court banquets. In short, Suk-seol-so and Jung-bae-seol-cheong were auxiliary spaces, but were considered importantly in the palace operation when holding court banquets.

Dynamic Range Improvement of Digital Receiver (디지털 수신기의 Dynamic Range 개선방안)

  • In this paper, In this paper, we consider a dynamic range in the frequency converter to obtain a high conversion gain and linearity while operating area proposed to broaden the design. Super-heterodyne RF Front-End style was applied to the active mixer stage, GaAs devices were used. Circuit design easy and simple forms benefit circuit is constructed in the drain mixer, passive mixer with the operating area were compared and analyzed. The simulation results of the conversion gain of 2.4dB and 0.2dBm about a gain-compression point, and showed the dynamic range of 71.9dB, when compared with passive mixers, dynamic range of approximately 6dB improvement was identified. Measurements of an approximately 2dB conversion gain and-1.0dBm of the gain-compression point, and confirmed that the active area of 71.1dB. When compared with passive mixers, dynamic range of is reduced by approximately 8dB has been improved.

Rb-Sr Isochron Ages, Sr and Nd Isotopic Compositions of Granophyre in the Haenam-Wando Areas, Korea (해남-완도지역 Granophyre의 Rb-Sr 등시선 연대와 Sr, Nd 동위원소 조성)

  • Rb-Sr isochron ages, Sr and Nd isotopic compositions were determined for late Cretaceous granophyre on the Haenam-Wando areas, the southwestern part of the Yeongdong-Kwangju depression in Korea. The granophyre in the Haenam-Wando areas are distributed in the shape of a resurgent cauldron. Five samples of Haenam granophyre give a defined Rb-Sr whole rock isochron age of $75.7{\pm}7.2Ma$ and Sr initial ratio of $0.70826{\pm}0.00020(2{\sigma})$. Plagioclase, orthoclase and whole rock of Haenam granophyre give a defined Rb-Sr whole rock-mineral isochron age of $67.0{\pm}5.8Ma$ and Sr initial ratio of $0.708880{\pm}0.00028(2{\sigma})$. Five samples of Wando granophyre give a defined Rb-Sr whole rock isochron age of $70.6{\pm}3.3Ma$ and Sr initial ratio of $0.70850{\pm}0.00088(2{\sigma})$. Eight samples of Haenam granophyre give a defined Nd isotope ratios of 0.512180~0.512259 and ${\varepsilon}Nd$ (T) values of -6.53~-8.15, ${\varepsilon}Sr$ (T) values of +51.49~+66.48 and model age of 1.28~1.60 Ga. Four samples of Wando granophyre give a defined Nd isotope ratios of 0.512228~0.512289 and ${\varepsilon}Nd$ (T) values of -6.74~-8.00, ${\varepsilon}Sr$ (T) values of +54.88~+78.98 and model age of 1.14~1.42 Ga.
