  • This paper analyzes the procedure of calculating how the results of national control points (triangulation points), based on Bessel datum, have been transformed into those of KGD2002, based on the world geodetic system. GPS and EDM data observed from 1974 to 2008 were used for this purpose. A large-scale integrated GPS network was constructed to estimate the results of KGD2002 and new national control points about 12,000 were decided through multiple stages of data processing. The accuracy of these results is ${\pm}0.015m$ (95%) in the horizontal direction and ${\pm}0.030m$ (95%) in the vertical direction. The adjusted results verified by the construction of an integrated GPS/EDM network were compared with the results of KGD2002. In conclusion, the bulletin results are thought to be appropriate because the coordinate differences (RMSE) are ${\pm}0.0025m$ and ${\pm}0.008m$ in horizontal and vertical directions respectively.

  • Precise Point Positioning (PPP) algorithms using GPS code pseudo-range measurements were developed and their accuracy was validated for the purpose of implementing them on a portable device. The group delay, relativistic effect, and satellite-antenna phase center offset models were applied as fundamental corrections for PPP. GPS satellite orbit and clock offsets were taken from the International GNSS Service official products which were interpolated using the best available algorithms. Tropospheric and ionospheric delays were obtained by applying mapping functions to the outputs from scientific GPS data processing software and Global Ionosphere Maps, respectively. When the developed algorithms were tested for four days of data, the horizontal and vertical positioning accuracies were 0.8-1.6 and 1.6-2.2 meters, respectively. This level of performance is comparable to that of Differential GPS, and further improvements and fine-tuning of this suite of PPP algorithms and its implementation at a portable device should be utilized in a variety of surveying and Location-Based Service applications.

  • This paper has focused on deriving a GPS based geodetic network adjustment strategy to continuously determine coordinate sets of the national geodetic control points. After domestic literature review on the topic and overseas case studies about countries that recently reformed their geodetic infrastructure have been carried out, a simplified geodetic network consisting of two layers, namely GPS active and passive network, has been proposed to maximize effectiveness of the network adjustment through reducing the number of the passive points. Furthermore, a GPS data processing and network adjustment procedure has been derived to support the continuous management scheme. While a scheme for the active layer adopts a sequential least squares adjustment based on a multi-baseline, that of the passive layer employs a multi-session adjustment technique with respect to 3-dimensional baseline vectors. Finally, experimental adjustment against a network comprising 24 active and 6,900 passive stations has been performed to demonstrate the efficiency and the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Recently, the research is progressing on the SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) platform of OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) to provide the sensing data and moving pictures collected in a sensor network through the Internet Web. However, existed research does not deal with moving objects like cars, trains, ships, and person. Therefore, we present a method to deal with integrated sensing data collected by GPS device, sensor network, and image devices. Also, this paper proposes an integrated processing method for image and sensing data based on location in mobile sensor networks. Additionally, according to proposed methods, we design and implement the combine adapter. This combine adapter receives a contexts data, and provides the common interface included parsing, queueing, creating unified message function. We verity the proposed method which deal with the integrated sensing data based on combine adapter efficiently. Therefore, the research is expected to help the development of a various context information service based on location in future.

  • This paper presents a low cost and high accuracy integrated Global Positioning System (GPS)/dead reckoning (DR) system. The integrated GPS/DR system is capable of providing highly accurate position data in real-time or in post processing. Based on the analysis of the main error source affecting the DR measurements, an eight-state mathematical model for the integrated system has been developed to represent these errors. This eight-state model has been used to build a nonlinear filter for the estimation of the state vector at every epoch when DR measurements are available. The accuracy of the system has been evaluated using 1Hz DR measurements and 3Hz continuous GPS position estimates. Through numerical simulation the system performance during periods with GPS outage has been investigated by comparing two different noise models. While one model is the position estimation filter containing a single noise model, the other filter includes two-level noise model. The simulation results have shown that the estimation filter containing two-level noise model for computing the position error of the integrated GPS/DR system yields better performance than that the filter including the single-level noise model does.

  • Accurate observation results of dynamic displacements are essential to the protection of civil structures. In this study, we evaluated the optimal methods of the RTK/GPS Accelerometer integration through comparison and analysis of several experiments results. Two methods will be used to calculate the dynamic displacements from the results of the acceleration data as well as two integration methods for measuring the dynamic, static, and quasi-static displacements by incorporating the displacement results from the RTK-GPS and Accelerometer. By using a Cantilever Beam and LVDT measurement, we were able to ensure that the different displacement comparisons would be reliable and accurate. As a results from experiments, the accelerometer processing method applied by use of accelerometers data was filtering with the double integral using FIR band-pass filter which is most optimal for assessing the dynamic displacements. Also, the integrated method using extracting substitution displacements is suitable for measuring synthetically the dynamic static and quasi-static displacements of civil structures with RTK-GPS and accelerometer.

  • The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is undergoing dramatic changes. Nowadays, much more satellites are transmitting navigation data at more frequencies. A multi-GNSS analysis is performed to improve the positioning accuracy by processing combined observations from different GNSS. The multi-GNSS technique can improve significantly the positioning accuracy. In this paper, we present a combined Global Positioning System (GPS), the GLObal NAvigation Satellite System (GLONASS), the China Satellite Navigation System (BeiDou), and the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) standard point positioning (SPP) method to exploit all currently available GNSS observations at Mokpo (MKPO) station in South Korea. We also investigate the multi-GNSS data recorded at MKPO reference station. The positioning accuracy is compared with several combinations of the satellite systems. Because of the different frequencies and signal structure of the different GNSS, intersystem biases (ISB) parameters for code observations have to be estimated together with receiver clocks in multi-GNSS SPP. We also present GPS/GLONASS and GPS/BeiDou ISB values estimated by the daily average.

  • This study aims to complement the poor performance of existing context-aware authentication techniques in the mobile environment. The data used are GPS, Call Detail Record(CDR) and app usage. locational classification according to GPS density was implemented in order to distinguish other people in populated areas in the processing of GPS. It also handles missing values that may occur in data collection. The authentication model consists of two long-short term memory(LSTM) and one Artificial Neural Network(ANN) that aggregates the results, which produces authentication scores. In this paper, we compare the accuracy of this technique with that of other studies. Then compare the number of authentication attempts required to detect someone else's authentication. As a result, we achieved an average 11.6% improvement in accuracy and faster detection of approximately 60% of the experimental data.
