  • With the increased use of GPS in the field of various applications including surveying, the request for fast and precise positional information has increased. Several countries such as USA, Canada, and Australia have already been operating Internet-based automatic GPS data analysis system using e-mail and FTP. Expanding GPS market, it is necessary to establish automatic GPS baseline processing system that is accessible via Internet. The system developed in this study is operating on the web, and it allows the users to access easily regardless of time and place. The main processing engines are Bernese V5.0 and PAGES. They process user data with three GPS CORS(Continuously Operating Reference Station), and then send the report to the users through e-mail. This system allows users to process high accurate GPS data easily. It is expected that this system will be used for various GPS applications such as monitoring large-scale structures and providing spatial information services in private sector.

  • The subject of this study is to apply experimentally In resolution stereo imagery of IKONOS to producing 1:50,000 scale maps for Munsan area in Paju, being near the Military Demarcation Line, is inaccessible for aerial photography. Ground control points were acquired from GPS surveying to perform geometric corrections on images. Digital maps were produced from IKONOS stereo imagery on the digital photographic workstation. From field investigation, RMS errors of the plane and vertical positions are estimated respectively at $\pm$1.706m and $\pm$1.231m, respectively. These plane and vertical accuracies are within the tolerance limits of those provided in the NGIS Digital Topographic Map Production Rules. Therefore this suggested method is recommended for producing the large scale digital maps of 'No flight' zone near the M.D.L.

  • Aspergillus niger van Tieghem was cultured by the method of synchronous and submerged culture. Throughout the culture, sporulation was occured. Highly phosphorylated nucleotides in sporulating mycelia were detected to assure whether the eucaryotic Aspergillus niger produce these substances or not during the differentiation. Phosphorylated nucleotides were extracted from the conidiophore, bearing mycelia and spore forming body, these nucleotides were identified by TLC with P.E.I. cellulose. Guanosine tetraphosphate was found in both phialide forming mycelia and spore forming body. The contents of free amino acids were assayed and its level was found to increase at early stage of sporulation. The effects of 8-azaguanine examined, it was found to prevent spore formation and to made abnormal structure. The effects of inosinic monophosphate and guanosine monophosphate on spore formation were examined, spore formation was enhanced by these nucleotides.

  • In this paper, we propose an accident-prevention smart monitoring system for Haenyeo(Woman diver) using Zigbee module and GPS sensor. This system can collect such information as the diving location, the body temperature, the depth of diving, and the diving time of a Woman diver working under the water and then respond immediately to an accident occurring. The research developed a smart Teawak and smart swimming goggles which can measure the state of a Woman diver and her diving activities. Smart Teawak, the buoy tool while a Woman diver is collecting seafoods under water, is able to receive GPS and transmit the data from smart swimming goggles and Zigbee Module to IHSS(IoT based Haenyeo Safety service Software) server. In addition, IHSS, a responsive web, provides the diving location and the state of a Woman diver on the smart phone. As a result, the system will be useful in the aspects of Woman diver' health care and the safety, furthermore, which will significantly contribute to global marketing of Woman diver with its being designated as a UNESCO intangible cultural asset.

  • The red-crowned crane (Grus japonensis) is an endangered, large-bodied crane native to East Asia. It is a traditional symbol of longevity and its long lifespan has been confirmed both in captivity and in the wild. Lifespan in birds is known to be positively correlated with body size and negatively correlated with metabolic rate, though the genetic mechanisms for the red-crowned crane's long lifespan have not previously been investigated. Using whole genome sequencing and comparative evolutionary analyses against the grey-crowned crane and other avian genomes, including the long-lived common ostrich, we identified redcrowned crane candidate genes with known associations with longevity. Among these are positively selected genes in metabolism and immunity pathways (NDUFA5, NDUFA8, NUDT12, SOD3, CTH, RPA1, PHAX, HNMT, HS2ST1, PPCDC, PSTK CD8B, GP9, IL-9R, and PTPRC). Our analyses provide genetic evidence for low metabolic rate and longevity, accompanied by possible convergent adaptation signatures among distantly related large and long-lived birds. Finally, we identified low genetic diversity in the red-crowned crane, consistent with its listing as an endangered species, and this genome should provide a useful genetic resource for future conservation studies of this rare and iconic species.

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to describe general practitioners (GPs)' opinions and practices of preventive care and patients' opinions, attitudes, and behaviors towards prevention. Methods: The data stemmed from a cross-sectional national survey on prevention conducted in Switzerland from 2015 to 2016. In total, 170 randomly drawn GPs and 1154 of their patients participated. The GPs answered an online questionnaire and the patients answered a questionnaire administrated by fieldworkers present at their practices. Results: Both patients and GPs agreed that delivering preventive care is the dedicated role of a GP. It appeared that beyond classical topics of prevention such as cardiovascular risk factors, other prevention areas (e.g., cannabis consumption, immunization, occupational risks) were scarcely covered by GPs and reported as little-known by patients. In addition, GPs seemed to use a selective approach to prevention, responding to the clinical context, rather than a systematic approach to health promotion. The results also highlight possibilities to improve prevention in family medicine through options such as more supportive tools and public advertising, more time and more delegated tasks and, finally, a more recognized role. Conclusions: Despite an unfavorable context of prevention within the healthcare system, preventive care in family medicine is reasonably good in Switzerland. However, some limitations appear regarding the topics and the circumstances of preventive care delivery. A global effort is needed to implement necessary changes, and the responsibility should be broadened to other stakeholders.

  • Background: Ginsenosides are biologically active components of ginseng and have various functions. In this study, we investigated the immunomodulatory activity of a ginseng product generated from ginseng powder (GP) via enzymatic bioconversion. This product, General Bio compound K-10 mg solution (GBCK10S), exhibited increased levels of minor ginsenosides, including ginsenoside-F1, compound K, and compound Y. Methods: The immunomodulatory properties of GBCK10S were confirmed using mice and a human natural killer (NK) cell line. We monitored the expression of molecules involved in immune responses via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, flow cytometry, NK cell-targeted cell destruction, quantitative reverse-transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction, and Western blot analyses. Results: Oral administration of GBCK10S significantly increased serum immunoglobulin M levels and primed splenocytes to express pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-α, and interferon-γ. Oral administration of GBCK10S also activated NK cells in mice. Furthermore, GBCK10S treatment stimulated a human NK cell line in vitro, thereby increasing granzyme B gene expression and activating STAT5. Conclusion: GBCK10S may have potent immunostimulatory properties and can activate immune responses mediated by B cells, Th1-type T cells, and NK cells.

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the precision of GPS survey for the long baseline measurement. For this, we performed the simultaneous GPS observations at two points in Korea and nine points in Japan, and analyzed the precision of GPS survey by using broadcast ephemeris and precise ephemeris. As the results, in using precise emepheris and broadcast emepheris for the baseline less than 100km, each precisions are less than 0.1ppm. But the precision of precise emepheris is more improved than that of broadcast ephemeirs in the case of the baseline longer than 100km. That is, in comparing the results of VLBI and GPS survey, the precision is 0.13ppm for broadcast ephelneris and 0.04ppm for precise ephemeris. We expect that in the future this study will be used as the basic data for using broadcast ephemeris and precise ephemeris in GPS survey for the long baseline mearsurment.

  • Mechanical and electrical properties of silver stabilizer layer of coated conductor, which as prepared with nano silver paste as starting materials, have been investigated, Nano silver paste was coated on a YBCO film by dip coating process at a diping speed of 20m/min. Coated film was dried in air and heat treated at $400{\sim}700^{\circ}C$ in an oxygen atmosphere. Adhesion strength between YBCO and silver layer was measured by a tape est(ASTM D 3359). Hardness and electrical conductivity of the samples were measured by pencil hardness test (ASTM D 3363) and volume resistance test by LORESTA-GP (MITSHUBISHD, respectively. The sample heat-treated at $500^{\circ}C$ showed poor adhesion 1B, but samples heat treated at higher than $600^{\circ}C$ showed enhanced adhesion of 5B. The silver layer heat-treated at $700^{\circ}C$ showed the high hardness value larger than 9 H, low volume resistance, surface resistance value as well as superior current carrying capacity compared to sputtered silver. SEM observations showed that a dense silver layer was formed with a thickness of about $2{\mu}m$. Dip coated silver layer prepared by using nano silver paste showed superior electrical and mechanical characteristics.

  • Unlike GPS, which is an outdoor positioning technology that is universally and uniformly used all over the world, various technologies are still being developed in the field of indoor positioning technology. In order to acquire accurate indoor location information, a standard of representative indoor positioning technology is required. Recently, indoor positioning technology is expanding into the Real Time Location Service (RTLS) area based on high-precision location data. Accordingly, a new type of indoor positioning technology is being proposed. Thanks to the development of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence-based indoor positioning technology using wireless signal data of a smartphone is rapidly developing. At this time, in the process of collecting data necessary for artificial intelligence learning, data that is distorted or inappropriate for learning may be included, resulting in lower indoor positioning accuracy. In this study, we propose a data preprocessing technology for artificial intelligence learning to obtain improved indoor positioning results through the refinement process of the collected data.
