  • This study investigated decomposition the pathway and characteristics of fenitrothion, which is applied on the golf course for pesticide, by ZVI in batch reactor. The removal efficiencies of the pure fenitrothion and the commercial fenitrothion in Smithion by ZVI were compared. The fenitrothion was converted to 3-Methyl-4-nitrophenol and 4-Amino-m-cresol by ZVI. The fenitrothion decomposition rate by ZVI could be expressed by the first order reaction. As increasing the ZVI dosages, the first order rate constants and removal efficiencies increased. The surface area normalized rate constants for the pure fenitrothion and the commercial fenitrothion were 0.0398 and 0.1312 ($L/m^2{\cdot}hr$), respectively. The decomposition of the commercial fenitrothion in Smithion was faster than that of the pure fenitrothion by ZVI, the surfactant in Smithion lead to enhances solubility of fenitrothion and disperse ZVI.

  • This study carried out fundamental study on the forest road pavement method of cementing the ground using the compaction equipment after laying by mixing with eco-friendly stabilizer, natural soil and water. Target strength of pavement was set to 2.0MPa and the specimen was produced per mixing ratio of cement, kinds of natural soil and curing period to evaluate the durability and unconfined compressive strength. Unconfined compressive strength test was conducted to compare strength by producing the test specimen mixing environment-friendly cement as well as the test specimen mixing cement with the same mixing ratio. To evaluate the durability, surface abrasion test and water flow resistance test were conducted. In addition, SB and GB tests were conducted using iron marble and golf ball to evaluate the walking satisfaction since it can be used by visitors due to the feature of forest road.

  • Soil chemical properties were investigated to elucidate vertical movement of mineral nutrients in a fairway slope of 27 year-old golf course. Soil samples were taken at every 10cm depth to 4Ocm on 4 sites 20m apart each along two parallel lines 60m apart on the slope(15˚) in August. Accord-ing to the similarity of vertical distribution pattern they could be classified into 6 distinctive groups(magnesium, nitrate, phosphorus, ammonium, manganese and copper) and the slope tended to affect the vertical movement of minerals. The contents of Ca and Mg increased with depth while NO$_3$-N and Zn decreased and correlated positively. Soil pH showed significant positive correlation with depth, Ca and Mg. Phosphorus content was highest in 10~20cm depth and decreased resulting in relatively high content in 30~40cm depth of the bottom site of slope. Iron distribution pattern was similar to phosphorus. Potassium and $NH_4$showed various(irregular) patterns. Mn was highest in the deep layer at the lower sites of slope but it was reverse at the upper sites and negatively correlated with Fe. Cu content incresed with depth and heighest in 20~30cm depth. Electroconductivity showed significant positive correlation with $NO_3$-N. Magnesium, cal-cium and copper seem to be prone to defficiency due to fast leaching, and nitrate and phosphorus prone to excess problem. Preventive measures on acidification of surface soil should be taken.
