Even though Korea's national project - NGIS(National Geographic Information System) has been built since 1995 and the GIS database for underground facilities has also been built, not so many systems are utilizing those databases currently. Also, the waterworks GIS developed and operated by K-Water is not used effectively in supporting field works. In order to manage and operate the waterworks pipelines effectively, systematic supporting strategy must be established by adopting the state-of-the-art technology. In this research, a ubiquitous-based strategy for managing waterworks facilities is proposed to increase the usability of the existing related databases and to ensure the systematic way of distributing information. The current status of the existing waterworks GIS and GIS database were analyzed to achieve the goal. By studying the state-of-the-art technology, we found that importing the LBS technology to the databases is necessary. The results of these efforts are exclusive waterworks-mobile-terminals and LBS system supporting them. Furthermore, the applicability of the ubiquitous technology to waterworks has been examined to realize the real-time waterworks management.

최근 모바일 장치에서 GIS를 활용한 다양한 서비스 시스템들이 연구 개발되어지고 있다. 하지만 모바일 장치는 하드웨어 구성의 차이와 운영체제에 따른 제공 라이브러리의 차이가 심하다. 그래서 대부분의 서비스 시스템이 특정 모바일 장치에 제한적으로 설계 구현되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 모바일 GIS엔진에서 디자인 요소와 같이 특정 모바일 장치에 제한적일 수밖에 없는 부분을 제외한 모바일 GIS엔진을 설계하였다. 그리고 모바일 GIS엔진의 구현은 C++표준 라이브러리와 추가 사용자 라이브러리를 이용하여 구현함으로써 이종 모바일 장치에 호환성 있는 모바일 GIS 엔진을 구현하였다. 또한 문자 인코딩 방식을 UTF-16으로 통일함으로써 문자처리에 대해서도 호환성을 유지할 수 있도록 구현하였다.

This study deals with development GIS application using web-based CAD, this application serves to user, designer, manager that more convenient and various functions. Development to this application, collect attribute data from fieldwork and geographic data from cadastral map and aerial survey map and then development to user interface using HTML, JavaScript, ASP, Whip ActiveX control. This application's characters are as follows ; First, system designer designed that anyone who have basic knowledge about web and CAD can develop this application. A system structure simplification by 2-Tier. Geographic information use DWF(drawing web format) file and attribute information use DBMS in consideration of extension. Second, system manager can service independently GIS in Web need not high priced GIS engine, so more economical. Third, internet user get service GIS information and function that search of information, zoom in/out, pan, print etc., if you need more functions, add function without difficultly. Developed application as above, not only save volume but fast of speed as use vector data exclude character and image data. Also, this application can used by means of commercial and travel information service but also various GIS service of public institution and private in web.

Nowadays, the importance of safety monitoring for facilities is increasing. Therefore, the introduction of ubiquitous technology to replace the existing manually-operated methods is required. In this study, a web-based GIS system that provides monitoring information of bridges in real-time for the application of a bridge management system through the use of ubiquitous technology is constructed. Particular attention is given to the effective interconnection of bridge monitoring information and bridge management system and, through a ubiquitous environment, how to connect this with the UFID and the GIS-based bridge management system (BMS) operated by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation. In addition, data expression methods are also suggested that state the detailed locations and attributes of structures in bridge management by using GIS.

본 연구는 생산-운송시스템에서 수요자와 생산시설 및 운송네트워크이 주어질 경우 최소의 비용으로 고객을 지원할 수 있는 시스템의 결정을 위한 GIS(Geographic Information System) 기반의 차량 운송시스템의 연구이다. 주요 결정 변수는 생산공장의 위치, 운송네트워크, 운영할 창고 및 재고유지수준 등이 포함된다. 본 연구에서는 다-품목 생산 및 공급문제를 비 선형문제로 정식화하고 이를 선형문제로 변환하여 정수계획문제(IP)로 해를 구하였다. 이를 위한 전산 프로그램을 개발하고 예제들을 응용하고 그 결과를 보였다.

최근 소프트 산업의 주류는 상호운영성과 재사용성을 강조한 컴포넌트를 개발하는데 많은 인적 물적 자원을 지원하고 있는 실정이다. 특히, GIS(Geographic Information System)에서의 새로운 컴포넌트의 개발은 대규모의 관련 애플리케이션 개발에서뿐만 아니라 소규모의 시설물정보시스템 개발에서도 그 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 이런 상황에서 효율적이고 실용적인 GIS 애플리케이션을 구축하기 위해서는 새로운 GIS 컴포넌트 개발뿐만 아니라 기존의 개발된 컴포넌트의 재사용성 및 관리에도 깊은 관심을 가져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 GIS에서 'For/With' 컴포넌트 개념을 반영한 프로세스를 제안하고 특히 'For' 컴포넌트 개념을 이용한 GIS 컴포넌트 개발의 설계 사례를 보여주고 있다. 아울러 'With' 컴포넌트 개념을 이용하여 기존에 개발된 GIS 컴포넌트의 재사용성과 상호운용성을 향상에 대한 사례연구를 통해 향후 보다 많은 GIS 시스템 개발자들이 쉽게 원하는 GIS 컴포넌트들에 접근할 수 있는 웹 기반 GIS 컴포넌트 저장소 구축의 의의와 필요성을 언급한다.IS 컴포넌트 저장소 구축의 의의와 필요성을 언급한다.

지리정보의 응용 분야가 나날이 광범위해지고 각 분야에서 수집하고 사용하는 지형공간 데이타와 이를 처리하기 위한 소프트웨어의 양도 급속도로 팽창해 가고 있다. 분산된 이러한 GIS자원들을 활용하고 상호운용할 수 있게 하기 위한 해결책이 바로 OpenGIS이다. GEUS는 GIS기술과 데이타베이스 기술을 하나로 통합한 혁신적인 GIS 솔루션으로써 UniSQL을 기초로 한 DBMS 엔진 레벨에서 공간 데이타 타입과 연산자를 기본적으로 제공하고 있는 세계 최초의 객체관계형 공간 DBMS이다. 광범위하게 존재하고 있는 GIS 사용자들이 표준적인 인터페이스를 통해 GEUS에 저장된 지형공간 정보와 제공하는 공간 연산들을 사용할 수 있게 하기 위하여 OGC의 'OpenGIS Simple Feature Specification for CORBA'에 정의된 표준 인터페이스의 구현이 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 GEUS에 기반한 OpenGIS 서버를 설계하고 구현하였다.

최근 GIS 포털에 대한 수요자 요구 사항이 증가하고 있고 기존의 웹 GIS 응용 프로그램 개발 기법과의 연계와 통합이 중요한 연구 주제로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 공개 소스인 PostgreSQL - PostGIS를 이용하여 GIS 포털 구축을 위한 응용 설계 연구를 수행하였다. PostgreSQL를 데이터베이스 시스템으로 하여 공간 질의 및 분석 기능 등 GIS 기능을 연동시키는 PostGIS는 서버 GIS 엔진으로 점점 활용 가치가 증가하고 있으나 GIS 포털에서 이를 적용한 사례는 현재까지 보고된 바가 거의 없다. 본 응용 설계는 전체 시스템 설계 보다는 주로 포털에서의 인터페이스 부분을 주로 다루고자 하며 시험 구현 프로그램의 라이브러리는 PostGIS의 C Language Interface(LIBPQ)와 OGC library를 이용하여 공간 데이터에 대한 기본 기능을 구현하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 구글, 다음, 네이버 등과 같은 일반 검색 엔진에서 경쟁적으로 제공하는 웹 맵핑 수준에서 위성영상정보와 지도정보 서비스가 보다 체계적으로 웹 GIS 기술과 연계될 수 있는 기반을 마련하고자 한다.

인터넷 GIS는 지리정보 데이타에 대한 접근, 전송, 분석 및 공간데이타를 표현하는 수단으로 인터넷을 이용하는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 GIS의 개요 및 클라이언트 기반의 인터넷 GIS와 서버 기반의 인터넷 GIS를 분석하고 인터넷 환경에서 사용자의 요구에 의해 실시간으로 지도를 제공하는 GIS Data Server 및 자바를 이용한 MOD 서비스와 TC1-DP를 이용한 MOD 기술 개발에 대하여 기술한다.

The purpose of this paper is to present guidelines on technical GIS policy for integrating GIS with emerging information technologies and infrastructure systems for national GIS development. These guidelines are expected to advance the development of GIS and stimulating GIS industry, by anticipating potential problems. This paper consists of foul parts. After Introduction, section two covers the present and upcoming status of essential information technologies including communications, security, LBS, Ubiquitous and standardization. Section 3 describes the guidelines for combing GIS and emerging IT for national GIS development. The final section summarizes and derives conclusions.
