롤러기어캠의 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study on the modeling of roller gear cam)

  • In this paper, we developed an automated program for the modeling and simulation of three-dimensional roller gear cam mechanisms. The three-dimensional modeling for a roller-gear cam employs coordinate transformations based on the con-tact condition. the wire frame modeling followed by the shading technique using triangular meshing elements incorporat-ed the to reduce the number of data and computational load. Computer simulations for two kinds of products for rollger-gear cam mechansim illustrate the relative motion between the modeled roller-gear cam and a turret and thus show the effectiveness of the proposed modeling.

신경망을 이용한 정밀 베벨기어의 온간단조 예비성형체 설계 (Preform Design of the Bevel Gear for the Warm Forging using Artificial Neural Network)

  • In this paper, the warm forging process sequence has been determined to manufacture the warm forged product for the precision bevel gear used as the differential gear unit of a commercial automobile. The preform shape of bevel gear influences the dimensional accuracy and stiffness of final product. So, the design parameters related preform shape such as aspect ratio and chamfer length having an influence the formability of forged product are analyzed. Then the optimal conditions of design parameters have been selected by artificial neural network (ANN). Finally, to verify the optimal preform shape, the experiments of the warm forging of the bevel gear have been executed. The proposed method can give more systematic and economically feasible means for designing preform shape in metal forming process.

  • The motion of an aircraft landing gear over rough runway at variable speed is nonstationary. In this paper, a method for the computation of nonstationary response variance is presented which uses a state space form for the combination of landing gear and runway excitation. The dynamic characteristics of the landing gear under nonstationary random excitations has also been analyzed using the proposed method. The formulation is for linear systems of arbitrary order and allows any deterministic velocity history. It has been found by a series of simulation that correlation parameter, damping coefficients of landing gear and tire, and velocity profiles play a prominent role on the dynamic characteristics.

  • The worm gear is used in the motor drive system of automotive CVVL because of its compactness and self-locking ability. A ZK worm and an involute helical gear can be meshed in order to reduce production cost. However, the gearing is not suitable for the reliability and the NVH problem. To improve the dynamic performances, an optimal design process is considered. The transmission error is calculated theoretically and minimized with the several gear design parameters. An inequality condition such as the teeth interference elimination is added.

  • Heat treatment is widely used in various manufacturing Processes to enhance the quality of a Product such as strength, surface hardness, and service life. In the heat treatment, there is dimensional change or distortion of the product, which critically influences the dimensional accuracy of precision parts. In this study, the distortion of a straight bevel gear induced by heat treatment is investigated in two cases. In the first case, the distortion induced by heat treatment we compared between a forged bevel gear and a machined bevel gear. In the second case, the distortion of an annealed gen is compared with that of a quenched gear. And finite element analysis has been Performed to predict the distortion of a heat-treated and machined bevel gear. The predicted values are compared with the experimental values.

  • In this paper presented the net forging technology of planetary gear after much experiment and analysis, technology of two forging processes after billet being one -time heated, and cold net forging was adopted to ensure the gear forming quality. In the process of die producing, electrical rod NC cutting technology was used .the test and application has proved the net forging gear has reached higher quality and met the requirement of design. The net forging gear technology had been put into production.

인벌류트 기어펌프의 2차원 유동특성 (Characteristics of Two Dimensional Flow in an Involute Gear Pump)

  • Analysis of two-dimensional flow in an involute gear pump has been done by using FLUENT. Analysis extended to the turbulent flow includes the mass flow rate with functions of pressure difference between inlet and outlet, rotational velocities of involute gear, and clearances between tip of gear and housing. In general mass flow rate decreases with decreasing rotational velocity, and with increasing clearance and pressure difference. The flow rate efficiency of gear pump, which is defined with the theoretical flow rate, has been presented in terms of the above parameters.

  • The elevator gear box with the helical gears needs to be developed instead of the one with the worm gears to improve the efficiency. In order to develop the gear box, the analytical tool to predict the helical gear noise is necessary to meet customer's noise requirement. Gear noise is related to the loaded transmission error. Therefore, the simulation program fer the loaded transmission error analysis of the helical gears is developed in this study. Using the developed program, the effects of tooth modification such as tip relief and the extent of tip relief are investigated. Finally, the procedures to determine the tip relief and the extent of tip relief are proposed.

치형오차를 가진 헬리컬기어의 진동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Helical Gears with Tooth Errors)

  • Gear vibration is caused by the mesh stiffness, gear accuracy, and assembling errors. For these reasons, helical gear has the azial, radial, and rotational vibrations. In this study, the mesh stiffness is calculated by considering the tooth bending, contact, and foundation deformations. Rotational vibration of helical gear with tooth error is modeled by the nonlidear equation of motion with single degree of freedom and is anlyzed numerically. Also, by a specially designed experimental set-up, the analysis are cross-checked and the vibration characteristics of helical gear are discussed.

트럭 최종감속기 평기어의 치형최적화에 관한 연구 (Tooth Modification for Spur Gear for Articulated Hauler's Final Drive)

  • Construction equipment is heavily loaded during normal operation. In recent years, there is a trend that lower gear noise levels are demanded for drivers to avoid annoyance and fatigue during operation. For articulated hauler's final drive, meshing transmission error(T.E.) is the excitation that leads the tonal noise known as gear whine, and radiated gear whine is also the dominant source of noise in the whole gearbox. This paper presents a method for the analysis of the tooth profile modification, and the prediction of transmission error under the loaded torques for the spur gear pair of the articulated hauler's final drive. And the transmission error, transmission error harmonics and contact stress are also calculated and compared before and after tooth modification under one torque. The simulation result shows that the transmission error and contact stress under the loads can be minimized by the appropriate tooth profile modification.
