A Study on the Partial Discharge Resistance Properties of Epoxy/Micro/Nano Alumina Composites (에폭시/마이크로/나노알루미나 콤포지트의 부분방전 저항성특성)

  • Neat Epoxy, nano alumina composites, micro alumina composites and multi-nano alumina composites were prepared and experiment were performed to measure their partial discharge resistant characteristics. The partial discharge resistance obtained for the microcomposites, nanocomposites and multi-nanocomposites are compared with those of unfilled epoxy and with GDE amount for surface modifier. It was observed that compare multi-nano alumina composites to micro alumina composites, the partial discharge resistance to degradation gets improved considerably. The improvement in the degradation resistance is attributed to the interface intension between the nano alumina composites and GDE, micro alumina and epoxy neat.

Electrochemical Reduction of High Pressure Carbon Dioxide on Metal Electrodes and Gas Diffusion Electrodes

  • Electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide under high pressure on Fe electrodes and a gas diffusion electrode containing Pt catalyst (Pt-GDE) had been investigated. Formic acid was formed on Fe electrode with a faradaic efficiency of 60% at a current density of $120mA\;cm^{-2}$ under 30 atm of $CO_2$. Hydrocarbons such as $CH_4$, $C_2H_6$, $C_3H_6$, $1-C_4H_8$, and $n-C_5H_{12}$ are also formed. The distribution of hydrocarbons followed well the Schultz-Flory distribution. $CH_4$ was formed efficiently as the main reduction product on Pt-GDE.

  • The physical properties were analyzed for four gas diffusion layers, and gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) for the cathode of high-temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell were fabricated through bar coating with three binder to carbon (B/C) ratios. Among them, The GDE from JNT30-A6P showed a significant change in secondary pore volume at a B/C ratio of 0.31, which had the largest pore volume among all GDEs. In the polarization curve, JNT30-A6P GDE showed the best membrane electrode assembly (MEA) performance with a peak power density of 384 mW/cm2 at a a B/C ratio of 0.31. From the distribution of relaxation time analysis, the peak 1 corresponding to mass transfer resistance of oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was significantly reduced in the JNT30-A6P GDE. This is the result that when the binder content decreased, the volume of the secondary pore increased, and the mass transfer resistance of ORR decreased, which played an essential role in the MEA performance.

  • 본 논문에서는 암호화 알고리즘의 하나인 GOST (Government Standard)를 칩으로 구현했을 경우에 차지하는 면적과 속도에 대해 DES와 비교 분석하고, GDES의 구조를 이 용하여 GOST 알고리즘을 빠르게 처리할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 합성한 것을 최종적으로 MAX+plus II를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

A Contiguity of Social Capital, Competence, and Business Performance Moderating by Government Policy

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the contiguity of social capital and competence on business performance moderating by government policy. A total sample of 225 Village Credit Institution (LPDs) managers in Bali, the hypothesis is examined using the WarpPLS analysis. The findings reveal that social capital has an important role in enhancing performance, Competence is also an important factor for managers because it can intensify performance. Social capital is largely related to the recognition of society regarding the credibility of the managers, while competence emphasizes the ability of the managers to manage the organization. Government policy must be viewed as a regulation that is able to help improve performance. However, the public policies issued by the government are still unable to help improve social capital and competence. Thus, to create public policies that are able to improve the competence and social capital, a further examination into the variables must be conducted. The findings suggest that two-way communication must be developed and synergy between the government and organizations to create opportunities and overcome the increasingly complex business challenges. The results emphasized the importance of social capital in enhancing business performance. In addition, the role of competence is of equal importance to enhance business performance.

  • In parallel system, the execution times of tasks cannot be accurately estimated and tasks may arrive at any time. In case, processors are overweighted with workload, the system utilization deteriorates. To solve this problem, dynamic load balancing that rearranges tasks in overloaded processors is required. We prospose the improved dynamic load balancing algorithm for $\textsc{k}-ary$ n-cubes using the property of ring and MWA which is the dynamic load balancing one for mesh. The proposed algorithm which uses the global load information has less communication cost than GDE, DDE and load difference within 1.

  • This paper presents the results of a study on the effect of surface modified alumina nanocomposites on electrical tree growth in epoxy insulation. Treeing experiments were conducted at a fixde AC voltage (500kV/mm, 10kV/60Hz)on unfilled epoxy sample as well as epoxy nanocomposites of 4 types with different loading and surface modified GDE gram. Time for tree growth as well as tree propagation length were studied. The results show that there is a significant improvement tree propagation time compare unfilled epoxy to epoxy nano alumina composites. Different tree propagation shapes as well as slower tree growth with 4 types nano alumina composites were observed.

Synthesis and Characterization of UV-curable Aliphatic Epoxy Acrylate (자외선 경화형 지방족 에폭시 아크릴레이트의 합성 및 특성분석)

  • UV-curable aliphatic epoxy acrylates were prepared by the reaction of glycerol diglycidyl ether (GDE) with 2-carboxyethyl acrylate (2-CEA) or 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (2-HEA). The structures of the epoxy acrylates were characterized by FT-IR, $^1H$-NMR, and $^{13}C$-NMR and the yield was obtained by prep-LC. The UV- and the thermal-curing behaviors of the product were investigated using photo-DSC and DSC, respectively. The reactivity of 2-CEA was higher than 2-HEA and the yield of the product (GEA-C) which was prepared using 2-CEA was about 83%. The maximum UV-curing time ($T_{max}$) of the GEA-C contained non-reactive components and by-product was about 10 seconds. The GEA-C showed low color difference (${\Delta}E^*$), low viscosity, and good thermal stability - its value was 2.51, 192 cps, and $299^{\circ}C$ (at 5% weight loss), respectively. The activation energies ($E_a$) of thermal-curing reaction calculated from Kissinger and Ozawa-Flynn-Wall method were 91~92 kJ/mol.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a method to decide near-optimal settings of the constant current fuzzy control parameters using a controlled random search. This method tries to find the near-optimal settings of the constant current fuzzy control parameters through experiments. It has an advantage of being able to carry out searches in the search domain which includes some irregular points. The method suggested in this study was used to determine the fuzzy control parameters by which the desired welding current were formed during inverter DC resistance spot welding. The output variable was the ITAE (integral of time multiplied by the absolute error). This output variable was determined according to the input variables, which are the GE, GDE, and GDU. This study described how to obtained near-optimal welding current condition over a wide search space conducting a relatively small number of experiments.

Significant Motion-Based Adaptive Sampling Module for Mobile Sensing Framework

  • Many mobile sensing frameworks have been developed to help researcher doing their mobile sensing research. However, energy consumption is still an issue in the mobile sensing research, and the existing frameworks do not provide enough solution for solving the issue. We have surveyed several mobile sensing frameworks and carefully chose one framework to improve. We have designed an adaptive sampling module for a mobile sensing framework to help solve the energy consumption issue. However, in this study, we limit our design to an adaptive sampling module for the location and motion sensors. In our adaptive sampling module, we utilize the significant motion sensor to help the adaptive sampling. We experimented with two sampling strategies that utilized the significant motion sensor to achieve low-power consumption during the continuous sampling. The first strategy is to utilize the sensor naively only while the second one is to add the duty cycle to the naive approach. We show that both strategies achieve low energy consumption, but the one that is combined with the duty cycle achieves better result.
