Action of enzyme food, Green Life Enzyme on systemic and local anaphylaxis

  • We studied the inhibitory effect of Green Life Enzyme (GLE) on compound 48/80-induced anaphylactic response in a murine model. GLE inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylactic shock at the dose of 10 g/kg by 87.5%. When GLE was given as pre-treatment at concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 1.0 g/kg, it inhibited passive cutaneous anaphylaxis activated by anti-dinitrophenyl (DNP) IgE. In addition, GLE (0.1 mg/ml) inhibited anti-DNP IgE-induced tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ production from mast cells by 69% compared to saline value. These results indicate that GLE may possess anti-anaphylactic and anti-inflammatory activity.

THE VIRIAL RELATION AND INTRINSIC SHAPE OF EARLY-TYPE GALAXIES

  • Early-type galaxies (ETGs) are supposed to follow the virial relation $M=k_e{\sigma}^2R_e/G$, with M being the mass, σ* being the stellar velocity dispersion, Re being the effective radius, G being Newton's constant, and ke being the virial factor, a geometry factor of order unity. Applying this relation to (a) the ATLAS3D sample of Cappellari et al. (2013) and (b) the sample of Saglia et al. (2016) gives ensemble-averaged factors 〈ke〉 = 5.15 ± 0.09 and 〈ke〉 = 4.01 ± 0.18, respectively, with the difference arising from different definitions of effective velocity dispersions. The two datasets reveal a statistically significant tilt of the empirical relation relative to the theoretical virial relation such that $M{\propto}({\sigma}^2_*R_e)^{0.92}$. This tilt disappears when replacing Re with the semi-major axis of the projected half-light ellipse, a. All best-fit scaling relations show zero intrinsic scatter, implying that the mass plane of ETGs is fully determined by the virial relation. Whenever a comparison is possible, my results are consistent with, and confirm, the results by Cappellari et al. (2013). The difference between the relations using either a or Re arises from a known lack of highly elliptical high-mass galaxies; this leads to a scaling (1 - ϵ ) ∝ M0.12, with ϵ being the ellipticity and $R_e=a\sqrt[]{1-{\epsilon}}$. Accordingly, a, not Re, is the correct proxy for the scale radius of ETGs. By geometry, this implies that early-type galaxies are axisymmetric and oblate in general, in agreement with published results from modeling based on kinematics and light distributions.

잠재성 경화제를 이용한 Cycloaliphatic/DGEBA계 에폭시 블렌드 시스템의 유변학적 특성 및 경화 동력학 (Rheological Properties and Cure Kinetics of Cycloaliphatic/DGEBA Epoxy Blend System Initiated by Cationic Latent Curing Agent)

  • 잠재성 경화제인 N-benzylpyrazinium hexafluoroantimonate(BPH)를 Cycloaliphatic계 에폭시 (CAE)/DGEBA계 에폭시의 혼합물에 1 mol% 첨가 시킨 후 혼합 조성비에 따른 유변학적 특성과 경화 동력학에 대해 연구하였다. 잠재특성은 등온 DSC를 이용하여 각각 $150^{\circ}C$$50^{\circ}C$의 반응 온도에 대한시간의 함수로서 전화량을 구하여 측정하였다. 블렌드 시스템의 유변학적 특성은 레오미터를 사용한 등온 실험을 통하여 storage modulus (G'), loss modulus (G") 그리고 damping factor (tan$\delta$)를 구한 후 이들 데이터로부터 겔화 시간을 측정하였다. 겔화 시간과 경화 온도를 Arrenius equation에 적용시킨 결과 가교 활성화 에너지 ($E_c$)를 구할 수 있었으며 겔화 시간과 활성화 에너지 모두 DGEBA의 함량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 경화 활성화 에너지 ($E_a$)를 동적 DSC를 이용하여 Kissinger method에 의해 구하였는데 활성화 에너지는 CAE의 함량이 증가할수록 감소함으로써 높은 반응성을 나타내었는데, 이는 짧은 반복 단위와 단순한 곁사슬기 그리고 반응 매질 내의 점도 등에 기인한다.기인한다.

휴대형 고순도 게르마늄검출기에 대한 스펙트럼-조사선량율 변환연산자의 결정 (Determination of Spectrum-Exposure Rate Conversion Factor for a Portable High Purity Germanium Detector)

  • 환경방사선 측정에 이용되는 휴대형 고순도 게르마늄검출기에 대한 스펙트럼-조사선량율 변환연산자를 원판형선원의 공간분포함수와 검출기의 평면에 대한 측정효율식을 적용하여 이론적으로 유도했다. 이와 같이 구한 변환연산자와 휴대형 고순도 게르마늄검출기를 이용해 한국에너지연구소내에서 방사선 조사선량율을 측정했다. 측정한 조사선량율을 이미 알려진 3'${\phi}\;{\times}$3'NaI(Tl) 섬광검출기에 대한 변환연산자를 적용해 NaI(Tl)검출기로 측정한 조사선량율과 가압형 이온전리함으로 측정한 값과 비교했다. 고순도 게르마늄 검출기로 얻은 결과는 NaI(Tl) 검출기와 가압형 이온전리함으로 얻은 값보다 약 17-29% 낮음을 보여주었다. 이 차이는 다른 문헌에서 보인 차이와 거의 같았다. 본 논문에서 제시한 스펙트럼-조사선량율 변환연산자는 탁상용 계산기로 쉽게 계산할 수 있으며 환경방사선의 측정에 사용되는 여러 검출기에 대해서도 쉽게 적용할 수 있는 장점이 있고 지각에서 방출되는 각 핵종별로 조사선량율을 구할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

A Comparative Study and Analysis of LoRaWAN Performance in NS3

  • Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) is a widely adopted Internet of Things (IoT) protocol due to its high range and lower energy consumption. LoRaWAN utilizes Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) for efficient resource (e.g., spreading factor and transmission power) management. The ADR manages these two resource parameters on the network server side and end device side. This paper focuses on analyzing the ADR and Gaussian ADR performance of LoRaWAN. We have performed NS3 simulation under a static scenario by varying the antenna height. The simulation results showed that antenna height has a significant impact on the packet delivery ratio. Higher antenna height (e.g., 50 m) has shown an improved packet success ratio when compared with lower antenna height (e.g., 10 m) in static and mobility scenarios. Based on the results, it is suggested to use the antenna at higher allevation for successful packet delivery.

전산유체해석과 다구찌 방법을 연계한 공기 가열식 히터 시스템의 난방속효성 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Design of Warm-up rate in a Air-Heated Heater System by Using CFD Analysis and Taguchi Method)

  • The objective of this paper is to describe the optimization of design parameters in a large-sized commercial bus heater system by using CFD(computational fluid dynamics) analysis and Taguchi method. In order to obtain the best combination of each control factor which results in a desired performance of heater system, the parameter design of the Taguchi method is adopted for the robust design considering the dynamic characteristic. The research activity may be divided into four phases. The first one is analyzing the problem, i.e., ascertaining the influential factors. In the second phase the levels were set in such a way that their variation would significantly influence the response. In the third phase the experimental runs were designed. In the final phase the planned runs were carried out numerically to evaluate the optimal combination of factors which is able to provide the best response. In this study, eight factors were considered for the analysis: one with two level and seven with three level combinations comprising the $L_{18}(2^1{\times}3^7)$ orthogonal array. The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (i)The optimum condition of control factor is a set of <$A_2\;B_1\;C_3\;D_3\;E_1\;F_2\;G_3\;H_2$> where A is shape of the outer fin, B is pitch of the outer fin, C is height of the outer fin, D is the inner fin number, E is the inner fin height, F is length of the flame guide, G is diameter of the heating element and H is clearance between air guide and heating element. (ii)The heat capacity of heated discharge air under the optimum condition satisfies the equation y=0.6M w here M is a signal factor. (iii)The warm-up rate improves about three times, more largely as com pared with the current condition, which results in about 9.2minutes reduction.

뱀장어 Vitellogenin과 Estrogen 수용체 유전자 발현에 대한 성장호르몬 및 웅성호르몬의 영향 (Effect of Growth Hormone and Androgen on Vitellogenin and Estrogen Receptor Gene Expression in the Japanese eel, Anguilla japonica)

  • Vg은 난생 척추동물의 성숙한 암컷 혈청에 존재하는 성 특이 단백질로서 $E_2$에 의해 합성이 유도된다. 본 연구는 뱀장어 Vg과 ER 유전자 발현에 대한 androgen과 성장호르몬(GH)의 영향을 조사하였다. 미성숙 뱀장어($200{\sim}250g$)에 $E_2(5{\sim}5,000\;{\mu}g/kg\;bw)$, 뱀장어 recombinant GH(eGH, $1{\sim}10\;{\mu}g/kg$) 또는 methyltestosterone(MT, $1{\sim}5\;mg/kg$)를 각각 단독 또는 eGH 또는 MT와 혼합하여 주사한 후 10일 후에 샘플을 채취하였다. 간 ER과 Vg mRNA는 RT-PCR을 이용하여 분석하였다. $E_2$에 의해 발현된 Vg 유전자는 농도 의존적으로 증가하였다. $E_2(500\;{\mu}g/kg)+MT(5mg/kg)$ 또는 $E_2(500\;{\mu}g/kg)+eGH(10\;{\mu}g/kg)$의 처리는 각각 $E_2$ 단독처리에 비해 높은 Vg mRNA의 발현을 유도하였다. eGH($10\;{\mu}g/kg$) 또는 MT(5mg/kg) 단독 처리는 Vg mRNA 발현을 유도하지 못했다. 한편 ER mRNA의 발현은 호르몬 처리에 관계없이 관찰되었다. Vg mRNA와 마찬가지로 ER mRNA의 발현도 $E_2(5{\sim}500\;{\mu}g/kg\;bw)$ 처리에 의해 농도 의존적으로 증가하는 경향이 있었으나 통계적 유의차는 없었다. $E_2(500\;{\mu}g/kg)$와 MT(5mg/kg) 또는 eGH($10\;{\mu}g/kg$)의 혼합투여 또한 $E_2$에 의해 유도된 ER mRNA 발현을 증가시키지 못했다. 결론적으로 Vg 유전자 발현에 있어서 $E_2$는 없어서는 안 되는 필수요소이지만 $E_2$ 자체만으로는 충분한 Vg 유전자를 발현하지 못하고 GH 또는 웅성호르몬 등의 도움이 필요하다. 또한 MT 또는 GH는 ER 유전자 발현에 영향을 미치지 못하며 다른 경로를 통해 Vg 유전자 발현에 관여하는 것으로 생각된다.

세포주기조절에 관한 최근 연구 (Significance of Cell Cycle and Checkpoint Cnotrol)

  • Regulation of cell proliferation is a complex process involving the regulated expression and /or modification of discrete gene products. which control transition between different stages of the cycle. The purpose of this short review is to provide an overview of somatic cell cycle events and their controls. Cycline have appeared as major positive regulators in this network, because their association to the cyclin-dependent kinases(Cdks) allows the subsequent activation on the Cdk/cyclin complexes and their catalatic activity. In mammalian cells, early to mid G1 progression and late G1 progression leading to S phase entry are directed by D-type cyclins-Cdk4, 6 and cyclin E-Cdk 2 both of which can phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein (pRB). pRB is a transcriptional repressor which, in its unphosphorylated state, binds to members of the E2F transcription factor family and blocks E2F-dependent transcription of genes controlling the G1 to S phase transition an subsequent DNA synthesis. Cyclin A is produced in late G1 and expressed during S and G2 phae, and expression of B-type cyclins is typically maximal during the G2 to M phase transition and it controls the passage through M phase. They primarily associate with the activate Cdk2, and Cdc2, respectively. On the other hand, the Cdk inhibitors negatively control the activity of C아/cyclin complex by coordinating internal and/or external signals and impending proliferation at several key checkpoints. These current and further findings will provide novel approaches to understanding and treating major diseases.

A Cipadesin Limonoid and a Tirucallane Triterpene from the Fruit of Sandoricum koetjape and their Inhibitory Properties against Receptor Tyrosine Kinases

  • A new cipadesin limonoid, i.e. 3-epi-cipadonoid C (1), and a new tirucallane triterpene, i.e. hispidol B 3-palmitate (3), have been isolated from the seeds and fruit peels extract of Sandoricum koetjape, respectively. Along with these compounds the known limonoid, cipaferen G (2), and two pentacyclic triterpenes, bryonolic (4) and bryononic (5) acids, were also isolated. The strucrures of the new compounds were elucidated by the analysis of NMR and mass spectral data. Compounds 1 - 5 were evaluated as the inhibitor of receptor tyrosine kinases (EGFR, Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor; HER2, HER4, Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2, -4; IGFR, Insulin-like Growth Factor Receptor; InsR, Insulin Receptor; KDR, Kinase insert Domain Receptor; PDGFRα, and PDGFRβ, Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor-α and -β). The results showed only 1 and 3 that have weak activity against InsR.

Stability assessment of soil slopes in three dimensions: The effect of the width of failure and of tension crack

  • This paper investigates the effect of the width of failure and tension crack (TC) on the stability of cohesive-frictional soil slopes in three dimensions. Working analytically, the slip surface and the tension crack are considered to have spheroid and cylindrical shape respectively, although the case of tension crack having planar, vertical surface is also discussed; the latter was found to return higher safety factor values. Because at the initiation of a purely rotational slide along a spheroid surface no shear forces develop inside the failure mass, the rigid body concept is conveniently used; in this respect, the validity of the rigid body concept is discussed, whilst it is supported by comparison examples. Stability tables are given for fully drained and fully saturated slopes without TC, with non-filled TC as well as with fully-filled TC. Among the main findings is that, the width of failure corresponding to the minimum safety factor value is not always infinite, but it is affected by the triggering factor for failure (e.g., water acting as pore pressures and/or as hydrostatic force in the TC). More specifically, it was found that, when a slope is near its limit equilibrium and under the influence of a triggering factor, the minimum safety factor value corresponds to a near spherical failure mechanism, even if the triggering factor (e.g., pore-water pressures) acts uniformly along the third dimension. Moreover, it was found that, the effect of tension crack is much greater when the stability of slopes is studied in three dimensions; indeed, safety factor values comparable to the 2D case are obtained.
