Recently, ITU-T recommends that FlexE, which allows the flexible configuration of Ethernet signals, be received by OTN for transparent transmission through OTN. To compensate for the difference in bit rate that can occur when mapping FlexE signals to OTN payload, an idle codeword is removed or inserted. However, the detailed functional blocks required to implement this method are not yet available. In this paper, based on the recent ITU-T requirements, a detailed functional block for OTN mapping of FlexE signals is proposed based on 400G class. In addition, based on the detailed functional blocks, mathematical analysis was performed to obtain the characteristics of removing and inserting idle code words, and the simulation results are shown.

Let (${\Omega}$, $\mathcal{S}$, ${\mu}$) be a probabilistic measure space, ${\varepsilon}{\in}\mathbb{R}$, ${\delta}{\geq}0$, p > 0 be given numbers and let $P{\subset}\mathbb{R}$ be an open interval. We consider a class of functions $f:P{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$, satisfying the inequality $$f(EX){\leq}E(f{\circ}X)+{\varepsilon}E({\mid}X-EX{\mid}^p)+{\delta}$$ for each $\mathcal{S}$-measurable simple function $X:{\Omega}{\rightarrow}P$. We show that if additionally the set of values of ${\mu}$ is equal to [0, 1] then $f:P{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ satisfies the above condition if and only if $$f(tx+(1-t)y){\leq}tf(x)+(1-t)f(y)+{\varepsilon}[(1-t)^pt+t^p(1-t)]{\mid}x-y{\mid}^p+{\delta}$$ for $x,y{\in}P$, $t{\in}[0,1]$. We also prove some basic properties of such functions, e.g. the existence of subdifferentials, Hermite-Hadamard inequality.

The introduction and application of IT(Information Technology) to a company has become to be viewed as a key factor for the business competitiveness and improved productivity. This study presents an approach to evaluation of a company's informatization level, which is especially appropriate for small and medium enterprises. The proposed evaluation method, based on the traditional questionnaire approaches, considers the various characteristics of the company, e.g., types of business, characteristics of customers, and locations of supply chains etc. A web-based system was developed to enable users to obtain the evaluation results from the evaluation method. The system also provides a function to produce valuable strategies for informatization by utilizing the case base which will be cumulated by repetitive evaluation requests. Finally, a real case was analyzed in order to verify the practicality of the evaluation system.

This paper presented a method to develop a relay model by the user-written model function of PSS/E. As for the voltage instability, although generator current limiters, transformer's tap-changers and dynamic loads have been considered as the dominant components, the protection system is also very important because it may influence the system's dynamic behaviour. Hence a distance relay model implemented with the suggested method was added, and then the operating characteristics of the distance relay under the voltage instability condition were investigated.

In this paper, we study surfaces in 3-dimensional Minkowski space in terms of certain type of their Gauss map. We give several results on these surfaces whose Gauss map G satisfies ${\square}G=f(G+C)$ for a smooth function f and a constant vector C, where ${\square}$ denotes the ChengYau operator. In particular, we obtain classification theorems on the rotational surfaces in ${\mathbb{E}}^3_1$ with space-like axis of rotation in terms of type of their Gauss map concerning the Cheng-Yau operator.

Under appropriate conditions, we derive a Berry-Esseen type bound for the estimator of g($\cdot$). As corollary, by choice of the weights, the Berry-Esseen type bound can attain O($n^{-1/4}({\log}\;n)^{3/4}$).

Applying and extending some preceding researches, this paper proposes a map of Italian extreme winds assigning the reference velocity, i.e., the wind velocity averaged over 10 minutes, at 10 m height, in a flat open terrain, with 50 years mean return period, depending on the site and the altitude. Furthermore, an objective criterion is formulated by which the actual values of the local wind velocity are given as a function of the reference velocity. The study has been carried out in view of the revision of the Italian Standards dealing with safety and loads and the introduction of the aeolic Italian map into Eurocode 1.

Purpose: The Glycyrrhiza uralensis species (Leguminosae) as a medicinal biocompound, and one of its root components, isoliquritigenin (ISL), which is a flavonoid, has been reported to have anti-tumor activity in vitro and in vivo. However, its function in bone formation has not been studied yet. In this study, we tested the effect of Glycyrrhiza uralensis (ErLR) and baked Glycyrrhiza uralensis (EdLR) extracts on osteoblast proliferation, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, and bone-related gene expression in osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells. Methods: MC3T3-E1 cells were cultured in various levels of ErLR (0, 5, 10, 15, $20{\mu}g/mL$), EdLR (0, 5, 10, 15, $20{\mu}g/mL$), or ISL (0, 5, 10, 15, $20{\mu}M$) in time sequences (1, 5, and 20 days). Also, isoliquritigenin (ISL) was tested for comparison to those two biocompound extracts. Results: MTT assay results showed that all three compounds (ErLR, EdLR, and ISL) increased osteoblastic-cell proliferation in a concentration-dependent manner for one day. In addition, both ErLR and EdLR compounds elevated the osteoblast proliferation for 5 or 20 days. Extracellular ALP activity was also increased as ErLR, EdLR, and ISL concentration increased at 20 days, which implies the positive effect of Glycyrrhiza species on osteoblast mineralization. The bone-related marker mRNAs were upregulated in the ErLR-treated osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells for 20 days. Bone-specific transcription factor Runx2 gene expression was also elevated in the ErLR- and EdLR-treated osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells for 20 days. Conclusion: These results demonstrated that Glycyrrhiza uralensis extracts may be useful for preventing osteoporosis by increasing cell proliferation, ALP activity, and bone-marker gene expression in osteoblastic cells.

For accurately analysing and forecasting the social networks of China's political, economic and social power elites, it is necessary to develop a database that collates their information. The development of such a database involves three stages: data definition, data collection and data quality maintenance. The present study recommends distinctive solutions in overcoming the challenges that occur in existing comparable databases. We used organizational and event factors to identify the Chinese power elites to be included in the database, and used their memberships, social relations and interactions in combination with flows data collection methodologies to determine the associations between them. The system can be used to determine the optimal relationship path (i.e., the shortest path) to reach a target elite and to identify of the most important power elite in a social network (e.g., degree, closeness and eigenvector centrality) or a community (e.g., a clique or a cluster). We have used three social network analysis tools (i.e., R, UCINET and NetMiner) in order to find the important nodes in the network. We compared the results of centrality rankings of each tool. We found that all three tools are providing slightly different results of centrality. This is because different tools use different algorithms and even within the same tool there are various libraries which provide the same functionality (i.e., ggraph, igraph and sna in R that provide the different function to calculate centrality). As there are chances that the results may not be the same (i.e. centrality rankings indicating the most important nodes can be varied), we recommend a comparison test using different tools to get accurate results.

The effects of thermo-solutal convection on mercurous chloride system of ${Hg_2}{Cl_2}$, and Ne during physical vapor transport are numerically investigated for further understanding and insight into essence of transport phenomena, For $10\;K{\le}{\Delta}T{\le}30\;K$, the growth rate slowly increases and, then is decreased gradually until ${\Delta}T$=50 K, The occurrence of this critical point near at ${\Delta}T$=30 K is likely to be due to the effects of thermo-physical properties stronger than the temperature gradient corresponding to driving force for thermal convection. For the range of $10\;Torr{\le}P_B{\le}300\;Torr$, the rate is second order-exponentially decayed with partial pressures of component B, $P_B$. For the range of $5{\le}M_B{\le}200$, the rate is second order-exponentially decayed with a function of molecular weight of component B, $M_B$. Like the case of a partial pressure of component B, the effects of a molecular weight arc: reflected through the binary diffusivity coefficients, which are intimately related with suppressing the convection flow inside the growth enclosure, i,e., transition from convection to diffusion-dominant flow mode as the molecular weight of B increases. The convective mode is near at a ground level, i,e., on earth (1 $g_0$), and the convection is switched to the diffusion mode for $0.1\;g_0{\le}g{\le}10^{-2}g_0$, whereas the diffusion region ranges from $10^{-2}g_0$ up to $10^{-5}g_0$.
