  • 본 논문에서는 변조 함수법을 이용하여 비선형 연속시스템의 퍼지모델 파라미터 인식을 위한 새로운 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 동력학 미분방정식은 미분항을 가지고 있기 때문에 입출력 데이터를 이용하여 퍼지모델 파라미터를 인식하는 경우 외란의 영향을 무시할 수 없으므로 퍼지모델 파라미터 인식이 어렵다. 그러나 변조 함수법을 이용하면 미분항을 소거할 수 있어 미분항이 없는 연립방정식으로부터 쉽게 퍼지모델 파라미터 인식이 가능하다 몇 개의 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 변조 함수법을 이용한 퍼지모델 파라미터 인식의 정확성과 유효성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Design of Generalized Predictive Controller for Chaotic Nonlinear Systems Using Fuzzy Neural Networks

  • In this paper, the Generalized Predictive Control(GPC) method based on Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNNs) is presented for the control of chaotic nonlinear systems without precise mathematical models. In our method, FNNs is used as the predictor whose parameters are tuned by the error between the actual output of nonlinear chaotic system and that of FNNs model. The parameters of GPC controller are adjusted via the gradient descent method where the difference between the actual output and the reference signal is used as a control error. Finally, computer simulation on the representative continuous-time chaotic system(Duffing system) is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of our chaos control method.

Development of laser tailored blank weld quality monitoring system (레이저 테일러드 블랭크 용접 품질 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • On the laser weld production line, a slight alteration of the welding condition produces many defects. The defects are monitored in real time, in order to prevent continuous occurrence of defects, reduce the loss of material, and guarantee good quality. The measurement system is produced by using three photo-diodes for detection of the plasma and spatter signal in CO$_2$ laser welding. For high speed CO$_2$ laser welding, laser tailored welded blanks for example, on-line weld quality monitoring system was developed by using fuzzy multi-feature pattern recognition. Weld qualities were classified optimal heat input, a little low heat input, low heat input, and focus misalignment, and final weld quality were classified good and bad.

  • In this paper a comprehensive study for the structural control of Jacket platform with Magneto-Rheological (MR) damper is presented. The control is implemented as a closed loop feedback of the applied voltage in the MR Damper using fuzzy logic. Nine cases of combinations with MR damper are presented to complete the work. The selection of the MR damper (RD 1005-3) is based on the operating parameters (i.e., the range of frequency and displacement). Bingham model is used to obtain the control forces. The damping co-efficient of the model is obtained using empirical relationship between the voltage in the MR damper and input velocity from the structural members. The force acting on the structure is obtained from Morison equation using P-M spectrum. The results show that the reliable control was obtained when there was a continuous connection of multiple MR dampers with the lower levels of the structure. Independent MR dampers at different levels provided control within a range, while the MR dampers placed at alternate positions gave very high control.

  • The basic requirements of distributed multimedia systems are intramedia synchronization which asks the strict delay and jitter for the check period of media buffer and the scaling duration with periodic continuous media such as audio and video media, and intermedia synchronization that needs the constraint for relative time relations among them when several media are presented in parallel. In this paper, a distributed intermedia synchronization algorithm that solves the intermedia synchronization problem by using variable service rates based on the fuzzy logic is designed and then the performance is evaluated through simulation.

  • A robust adaptive tracking control architecture is proposed for a class of continuous-time nonlinear dynamic systems for which an explicit linear parameterization of the uncertainty in the dynamics is either unknown or impossible. The architecture employs an adaptive fuzzy system to compensate for the uncertainty of the plant. In order to improve the robustness under approximation errors and disturbances, the proposed architecture includes deadzone in adaptation laws. Unlike the previously proposed schemes, the magnitude of approximate errors and disturbances is not required in the determination of the deadzone size, since it is estimated using the adaptation law. The proposed algorithm is proven to be globally stable in the Lyapunov sense, with tracking errors converging to the proposed architecture.

  • Robustness characteristics to the modelling imprecision and some disturbances could be achieved in sliding mode control. However, there are drawbacks such as discontinuous control and chattering. Recently, many researches have been developing to solve such the problems. In sliding mode control, overall control input could be divided into two parts which are equivalent control input and sliding mode control input. Sliding mode control input is a function of the switching surfaces and can be designed with their linear combinations. In this paper, the sliding mode control input is designed by TSK fuzzy model. The proposed method gives the continuous sliding control input and reject the chattering phenomenon.

  • This paper presents a mathod of reducing hunting size or steady state error occurred in the output signals via regulating the PID controllers gains. The PID controllers are widely used in industrial processes. Such processes have several inherent features like continuous operation, fixed set value, and difficulty in applyirty test signals. Thus, this paper suggests fuzzy rules of reducing hunting magnitude or steady state error using output signals only. Such an intelligent tuning technique utilizes both the experts, experience and control engineers' theortical background. For two kinds of systems such as temperature or DC motors speed control, we showed the validity of proposed method in this paper.
