Quality science may be defined as the subject promoting both quality and productivity, which may include quality management, quality engineering and technology innovation. The research and application of quality science have been in existence for many years in China. This report first reviews its recent history as well as the analysis of the status quo. Finally, a prospectus and comments section for the future of quality science points out the development trends and its significant effectiveness on China's modem economics.

The computer technology and internet have the potential to provide a highly interactive and powerful learning environment for engineering disciplines. Many academic courses that teach engineering subjects have already begun incorporating virtual instruments as teaching and learning tools. This paper introduces the concept of the virtual instrument and reports some of the LabVIEW software applications in several universities. Finally the paper contemplates the future trends on the remote laboratory via the internet for engineering education.

The evolution of color CRT electron gun design over the past 40 years is addressed. Many milestones of CRT E-gun design are cited. For the future survival of color CRT the multi-beam group color E-gun and the recently announced multi-beam type index gun are suggested as the answer to the challenge of the next generation's requirements of low power and high performance color CRT

Human cognition and decision-making related to information systems (IS) is a major area of interest in IS research. Among these areas, cognitive bias rooted in behavioral economics is gaining considerable attention from researchers. In the present study, we identify the role of cognitive biases and discuss how they shape the information security behavior. We also seek research opportunities to provide directions and implications for future research.

최근 기계공업분야에서 수직제어공작기계란 말이 매우 주목을 끌게 되었다. 그래서 기계공업의 형태에 있어서는 NC기술과 NC공작기계가 매우 중요한 역할을 하리라 예상된다. 그 까닭은 현 재 공산품의 질과 재료에 있어서 NC공작기계가 그 주역을 담당해 가고 있기 때문이다. 다년간 인간이 경험적으로 축적해온 종래의 기계체조기술에다 최근 쉴새없이 진행되는 기술혁신과 특히 비약적인 발전을 거듭하는 전자기술 그리고 그 제품들을 기계에 활용하므로써 NC공작기계 는 드디어 두뇌산업의 기수라고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다. 따라서 NC기술과 NC공작기계가 그렇게 중요시되는 이유와 전망을 살펴보기로 한다.

The fire accident cases of several countries such as Korea, Japan, United States, etc., were collected and compared statistically. The trends of fire accidents in several countries will help us establish detailed plans for fire protection and reduce the possible fire accidents in the future. For construction of data base system, the program FADS was developed, which is operable in Windows environment.

Surgery for temporal lobe epilepsy refractory to medical treatment is a promising treatment option. After a short overview on historical developments in this field, we describe the present practice of presurgical evaluation and resection strategies as practiced at our institution and review the corresponding publications from other centers. We try to delineate major future developments for surgical therapy of temporal lobe epilepsy, as they can derived from present trends.
