This paper is a review of articles selected from Journal of Home economics (1973~1979) with the purpose of studying new direction of home economics in america. Regarding the future of home economics in America. Regarding the future of home economics, the following points were important : 1) Top priorities for future directions in home economics were developed at the 11th Lake Placid Conference and published in "Home Economics New Directions 11" (May 1975). 2) A new definition of home economics by University of Arizona students described the uniqueness of home economics clearly, and in easily understandable terms. 3) A human ecosystem model which depicts human beings existing I interaction with the total environment was found to be a new approch to the concept of home economics. 4) A proposal was made for offering home economics courses to students in professional human service fields. Some of the problems of home economics which need to be solved: 1) The emphasis on specialization in a major field has made home economics just a collection of specialities. 2) The change of the designation "home economics" to other lables by some institutions has brought confusion. 3) Inadequate supply of competent faculty is the cause of inactive home economics research. 4) Teaching sex defined roles is outdated. The above findings give insights to Korean home economics which is faced with a variety of problems in a rapidly changing society.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status and suggest tasks of future directions for development of the Korean Society of Sport Biomechanics(KSSB). KSSB was established in the 22th of Oct.,1988. It is one of the great National Society recognized by the Korean Research Foundation, and consists of almost 350 members over national Sport Biomechanists. Two roles-functions of KSSB are as follows; one is an Independent Society by KSSB, the other is a sub-Society under Korean Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance(KAHPERD) run by 15 sub-Societies. The 2 great strategies toward all over the world of KSSB were Localization and Globalization. The grand four projects of KSSB in $2005{\sim}2006yrs$ are as followers: 1) The rationalization of organization-operating and decentralization, 2) The international levels of society, 3) The internationalizaton of quality of Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, and 4) The presentation award by quarterly and double-movements of members of KSSB. The tasks of future direction for development of KSSB are as followers : The localization and globalization of KSSB( see above as figure 4, table 12, 13, 14).

The purpose of this study is to identify the trends of emotion-related mathematics education research conducted in Korea so far, and compare them with those of international studies, and explore the desirable directions for future emotion-related mathematics education research. Emotion-related domestic research was collected from domestic academic journals, analyzed, and then it was used as data for international comparative study. The findings of the Eligio(2017) were used as counterpart research data. This study compares the number of publications, research subjects and research topics of domestic and international studies on emotion. Findings indicate that it has generally shown similar patterns to international research although it was difficult to determine the trends due to the lack of the number of domestic studies. The future directions of domestic mathematics education research on emotion were proposed as follows. Since it is difficult to collect reasonable and reliable data on pure emotion due to the nature of emotion in mathematics education research, it is suggested to introduce the concept of emotional intelligence, which is the combination of emotion and cognition. Also, it was recommended to utilize the concept of meta-emotion for future study on emotion-related research.

Purpose: This study analyzed the research published in KCI-registered journals related to healthcare marketing for the last 27 years from 1995 to 2022 to identify academic research trends, the specificity of the healthcare field and to suggest future research directions. Methodology: A total of 213 articles were selected for this study, and a descriptive analysis of the period and journals was conducted, as well as the analysis of research topics and keywords from the perspective of marketing strategy factors and performance factors. Findings: A total of 213 articles related to healthcare marketing have been published in the last 27 years. The descriptive analysis showed a steady quantitative increase, but the STP field showed a decreasing trend, and many papers were mainly published in the Korean Journal of Hospital Management. According to the analysis of research topics and keywords, STP field will be hard to become an active research topic in the future, and even in the 7P field, only Product, People, and Process can be researched according to medical law regulations, and other factors such as PX & WOM, CRM, and the Internet fields are expected to be research topics. Implications: Through the analysis of research trends over the past 27 years, we were able to identify the specificity of the healthcare marketing field in Korea and suggest future research directions based on this.

Purpose: This study was done to identify the current status of research on depression in married immigrant women and to suggest directions for future nursing research. Method: Sixteen articles for the period between 2001 and 2010 were selected by key words such as "Married Immigrant Women" and "Depression" from the databases (RISS4U et al). Results: Twelve of the research reports were related to correlations and 4 were related to interventions. Depression level was measured using BDI or CES-D. Depression levels were as follows: 20-30% reported major depression and less than 10%, severe depression. Factors which influenced depression included: socio-demographic factors, and family, economic, psychological and situational characteristics. Psychological treatment prevailed in the intervention research, for example, art therapy, and horticultural therapy. In 2 papers significant improvement in the state of depression among participants in the intervention group were reported. Conclusion: The next phase of nursing research related to married immigrant women is to reconsider the importance of the concept of depression to reexamine research methods and directions.

Quantitative methodology has been the predominent methodology utilized in research in nursing. However since the 1970s qualitative methodology has also emerged as a useful methodology and has been utilized by many researchers. But in the use of this methodology, the philosophical, epistemelogical, and theoretical backgrounds have been neglected by many researchers. This paper reports a review of the literature on methodologies, quanitative and qualitative, used in nursing, and makes suggestions for future research directions. It explains why qualitative methodology has emerged as as effective methodology in nursing and discusses how the qualitative methodology differs from the quanitative one. A comparison of the two is made based on perspectives of humane being and human behavior as well as the development of nursing science. This paper also presents several views on change in nursing science, since viewpoint not only influences the determination of the current stage of nursing science but also the shaping of the future directions of nursing science and research. Scientific revolution by Kuhn, the evolutionary perspective by Toulmin, the transition of research tradition by Laudan. and convolutionary processes are presented. However, this paper indicates that it is too early to adopt these points of view, because the history of nursing science is too short. It suggests that nursing needs pluralism in philosophy, paradigms and theory, as well as in methodology. Although we experience paradoxes in adopting different perspectives in nursing, it is wise for us to continue to include a variety of viewpoints including those to which we are not accustomed, such as qualitative methodology, since we are not yet able to decide what is best for the development of nursing science.

Drought forecasting is crucial to minimize the damage to food security and water resources caused by drought. Satellite-based drought research has been conducted since 1980s, which includes drought monitoring, assessment, and prediction. Unlike numerous studies on drought monitoring and assessment for the past few decades, satellite-based drought forecasting has gained popularity in recent years. For successful drought forecasting, it is necessary to carefully identify the relationships between drought factors and drought conditions by drought type and lead time. This paper aims to provide an overview of recent research trends and challenges for satellite-based drought forecasts focusing on lead times. Based on the recent literature survey during the past decade, the satellite-based drought forecasting studies were divided into three groups by lead time (i.e., short-term, sub-seasonal, and seasonal) and reviewed with the characteristics of the predictors (i.e., drought factors) and predictands (i.e., drought indices). Then, three major challenges-difficulty in model generalization, model resolution and feature selection, and saturation of forecasting skill improvement-were discussed, which led to provide several future research directions of satellite-based drought forecasting.

As the environments of world economy have been changed so rapidly, the conditions of marketing and distribution also have been altered. In korea distribution industry has been changed according to the introduction of various patterns of distribution and marketing. Among them the emerging of network marketing, same meaning with multi-level marketing in this research, is a important phenomenon of distribution industry in Korea. Not only it contributes the progress of national economy, especially distribution industry, but also it includes some limitations and criticism from the dissenters. In this paper, the clear definitions and characteristics of network marketing are suggested. And the current situations of network marketing in this country has been analyzed and compared, The future perspectives and problems of this network marketing have been diagnosed and classified for the future development and contribution for national economy. The various alternatives for the future development of network marketing have been studied and suggested in terms of each role of this industry such as distributers, consumers and government. Though this paper has a small contribution, it contains many limitations for research. Therefore it suggest future directions for further research.

For efficient and effective nuclear regulation, regulatory organizations must establish consistent and rigorous regulatory positions on safety matters. These positions should be based on high technical expertise and relevant ordinances, standards, and guidelines reflecting policy changes governing nuclear regulations. The Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety, a regulatory expert organization in Korea, has developed regulatory requirements, guidelines and analytical tools that provide regulatory technical bases for ensuring nuclear safety. The nuclear regulatory research also contributes to regulatory decision making by providing resolution for current and future safety issues. In this article, we introduce nuclear regulatory research and its main achievements in the past 10 years. Also, suggested here are future directions of nuclear regulatory research.

This paper examines the academic basis, current status, and future directions of liberal education for engineers as consilience education. After paying attention to the lists of liberal education for engineers including history of technology, technology and society, engineering ethics, economics of technology, management of technology, and technology policy, I found the academic basis of liberal education for engineers in science and technology studies or innovation studies. And then I monitored how liberal education for engineers is managed focusing on the case of Pusan National University and introduced new attempts on liberal education for engineers in other universities in Korea. Lastly, the future directions for the development of liberal education for engineers were suggested such as the strengthening of lecturers' expertise, the reconstruction of engineering education course, and the promotion of relevant academic associations' cooperation.
