A total of 264 persons were surveyed to obtain basic data on sodium intake and understanding of sodium. The study also examined the practice that is carried forward in this endeavor. The subjects liked 'kimchi' and 'rice with topping', and these could be the reason for higher salt intake. Career soldiers scored higher in terms of nutrition knowledge than enlisted soldiers (p<0.01). Nutrition education concerning sodium intake was statistically insignificant between the two, whereas career soldiers showed a higher experience rate at these nutrition educational events. Career soldiers also had with higher sodium intake than enlisted soldiers, and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.01). In terms of practice, officers were more likely to experience difficulty in putting the theory of less sodium into practice than their enlisted soldiers counterparts (p<0.05), and the main reason behind this difficulty was that they did not feel the need to lower their sodium intake. Soldiers should be well educated about sodium and healthy diet during their service. Education should focus on lowering sodium intake and changing their attitudes and awareness of this issue in order to elicit behavioral changes.

  • This study theoretically examines the essence of the competencies, qualifications and grades newly required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, points out that the engineer rating system does not reflect the new talent and practical capability, and conducts theoretical and empirical analyzes on improvement of the rating system. The current rating system need to be improved because it is not possible for graduates and experience workers to upgrade. Also, it is reasonable that the current highest grade of engineer, the Professional Engineer, which is a sort of qualification, is not a grade but a function of calculating the grade. Based on this theoretical background, empirical analysis of the question investigation and focus group interview shows that the rating system should be improved to four grades or return to the previous system in 2013. And if it is reduced to four grade, it should go in the way that the professional engineer and the qualified engineer combined. In the industry, the future skills of engineers are as follows : qualification, ability to use emerging technology, problem solving, understanding and utilization of major, and data management, etc. These can be summarized as qualification, education (degree) and career. In particular, the engineering industry considers qualifications, degrees, and career experience, and career experience as the most important elements of the rating system. In this regard, it is necessary to introduce a method that accurately reflects the career experience in the improvement of the engineer rating system.

  • As human life and welfare become more valued in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, the role and mission of human ecology are expanding. Therefore, a career exploration and education program for high school students covering all the academic fields of human ecology may be necessary. To investigate what would be needed to develop such a program, a focus group interview (FGI) targeting experts within the same field and a survey targeting high school students were conducted. As a result of the FGI, a total of 3 categories and 7 subcategories were identified. The three categories included "human ecology and high school education," "human ecology and career choices," and "education program development and management in human ecology." The results of the high schoolers' survey showed that they had a moderate level of awareness about careers related to human ecology majors, but their interests and known information about human ecology programs in universities were low. Within the sub-content of each major, the contents with the highest educational needs were fashion product management, nutrition by disease, housing market analysis, personal financial management, and children's rights and welfare. If a career exploration and education program is implemented in the future, the most preferred type is a mentoring program by professors, students, and graduates in the field of human ecology. In conclusion, it is necessary to develop and implement an integrative education program about human ecology majors based on the educational needs of high school students.

Based on this non-intuitive results, researcher offered new interpretation which can be acquired from rejections of hypotheses, implications, limitations, and the proposal for future research.
