시스플라틴과 지방산을 결합한 퓨전 항암제 (Fusion anti-cancer drugs of cisplatin analogue and fatty acids for multi-targeted cancer treatment)

  • 시스플라틴은 지난 몇 십년간 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 항암제 중 하나이다. 2가의 시스플라틴의 가장 큰 단점은 암세포 뿐만 아니라 정상세포도 공격하여 부작용을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 줄이기 위해 목표로 한 타겟을 공격하여 빠른 시간 내에 암세포를 죽일 수 있는 4가의 백금화합물 3과 4를 합성하였다. 합성된 $Pt(IV)-Bu_2$ 3 and $Pt(IV)-Val_2$ 4는 NMR과 질량분석기를 통하여 구조를 확인하였다. 합성된 Pt(IV) 화합물 3과 4는 위암세포주인 MCF-7을 대상으로 한 MTT assay를 통해 항암효과를 조사하였다. 그 결과 시스플라틴은 39%, $Pt(IV)-Bu_2$ 3와 $Pt(IV)-Val_2$ 4는 $50{\mu}M$ 농도에서 각각 54%와 84%의 세포사멸을 보였다.

  • 노년층의 삶의 질 개선과 높은 수준의 간병·요양서비스 및 니즈를 충족시킬 대안으로 향기치유기반 융·복합 사회 서비스 전문인력 양성 교육프로그램 개발을 적용하여 개선안을 마련하는 기초 사례가 되고자 한다. 광주광역시 거주자 중 교육생 30명을 대상으로 2021년 6월 14일부터 16일간 교육 전 선호도 조사 및 만족도 조사를 2021년 9월 23일부터 7일간 설문지조사를 진행한 결과 교육 선호도 에서는 향기요법 교육이 42.11%로 가장 높게 조사되었고, 교육프로그램의 적용 후 향기요법과 정의 필요성은 50%, 만족도는 48%로 가장 높게 조사되었다. 이에 본 연구는 고령 친화 산업활성화 기초 자료로 활용되고 시니어 간병·요양서비스의 집적화 및 고부가가치 융·복합 사회서비스 관련 우수인력 확보에 기여하고자 한다.

Texture Image Fusion on Wavelet Scheme with Space Borne High Resolution Imagery: An Experimental Study

  • Wavelet transform and its inverse processing provide the effective framework for data fusion. The purpose of this study is to investigate applicability of wavelet transform using texture images for the urban remote sensing application. We tried several experiments regarding image fusion by wavelet transform and texture imaging using high resolution images such as IKONOS and KOMPSAT EOC. As for texture images, we used homogeneity and ASM (Angular Second Moment) images according that these two types of texture images reveal detailed information of complex features of urban environment well. To find out the useful combination scheme for further applications, we performed DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) and IDWT(Inverse Discrete Wavelet Transform) using texture images and original images, with adding edge information on the fused images to display texture-wavelet information within edge boundaries. The edge images were obtained by the LoG (Laplacian of Gaussian) processing of original image. As the qualitative result by the visual interpretation of these experiments, the resultant image by each fusion scheme will be utilized to extract unique details of surface characterization on urban features around edge boundaries.

Controls on KSTAR Superconducting Poloidal Field (PF) Magnets

  • As a part of the plasma control system (PCS) for the first plasma campaign of KSTAR, seven sets of fast feedback control loop for the superconducting poloidal field magnet power supply (PF MPS) have been implemented. A special real-time digital communication interface has been developed for the simultaneous exchanges of the current/voltage data from the 7 sets of 12-thyristor power supplies in a 200 microsecond control cycle. Preliminary power supply tests have been performed before actual cooldown of the device. A $29mH/50m{\Omega}$ solenoid dummy has been fabricated for a series of single power supply tests. Connectivity and response speed of the plasma control system have been verified. By changing hardware cabling, this load was also used to estimate mutual inductance coupling effects of two geometrically adjacent solenoid coils on each power supply. After the cooldown was complete, each pair of the up/down symmetric PF coils has been serially connected and tested as part of the device commissioning process. Bipolar operation and longer pulse attempts have been investigated. The responses of the coils and power supplies corresponding to the plasma magnetic controls in plasma discharges are also analyzed for the future upgrades.

  • Partial internal amino acid sequences of the 15S ATPase from chick skeletal muscle were determined and found to be identical to the corresponding regions of the Mg2+_ATPase from Xenopus laevis oocytes, that is a close homolog of N-ethvlmaleimide-sensitive factor (called NSF) in hamster and Sec18p in yeast, both of which are believed to plaN an essential role in vesicle fusion in secretory process. Thus, the 15S Arpase in chick skeletal muscle maw also belong to a protein family of the "vesicle fusion proteins". Unlike the Mg2'-Afpase with an isoelectric point (pl) of 5.5, however, the 15S Arpase was separated into four spots with pls of 4.9,6.4 and 6.9 upon analysis by twoiimensional gel electrophoresis. In addition, the anti-15S ATPase IgG was found to be capable of interacting with the 265 protease complex upon analysis by immunoprecipitation. Moreover, immunoblot analysis revealed that the anti-155 Arpase IgG recognizes three subunits, ko of which show the same mobilities as the 510-kDa subunit 4 and 48-kDa subunit 7 of the 26S protease complex that are known to contain a highly consented ATP-binding motif. These results surest that a common antigenic site, likely the consensus nucleotide-binding site, exists in the 15S ATPase and the 26S pretense complex and hence both the enzymes maw also be related ATPases.d ATPases.

Fusion of Hierarchical Behavior-based Actions in Mobile Robot Using Fuzzy Logic

  • This paper presents mobile robot control architecture of hierarchical behaviors, inspired by biological life. The system is reactive, highly parallel, and does not rely on representation of the environment. The behaviors of the system are designed hierarchically from the bottom-up with priority given to primitive behaviors to ensure the survivability of the robot and provide robustness to failures in higher-level behaviors. Fuzzy logic is used to perform command fusion on each behavior's output. Simulations of the proposed methodology are shown and discussed. The simulation results indicate that complex tasks can be performed by a combination of a few simple behaviors and a set of fuzzy inference rules.

Analysis on the Multi-technology Capabilities of Korea and Taiwan Using Patent Bibliometrics

  • This paper explores multi-technology capabilities between Korea and Taiwan by analyzing the pattern of inventive activities concerning technology fusion by using patent bibliometrics. Although two countries exhibit a similar level of invention activities and high degree of specialization in emerging technologies measured by the number and technological fields of their US patents, innovation systems in two countries differ. MTCs (multi-technology corporations) are stronger in Korea national innovation system while small innovative firms play important roles in Taiwan national innovation system. Technology fusion has been an important source of technological innovation and it suggests possible advantage for the Korean innovation system because it is a common belief that global size firms - most of them are multi-technology corporations - can perform better in multi-technology fusion and scientific research. The result of patent bibliometrics suggests rather complex answers to the belief Even though Korea shows slight advantage, it may not be ascribed to the large MTCs.

A Correction System of Odometry Error for Map Building of Mobile Robot Based on Sensor fusion

  • This paper represents a map building and localization system for mobile robot. Map building and navigation is a complex problem because map integrity cannot be sustained by odometry alone due to errors introduced by wheel slippage, distortion and simple linealized odometry equation. For accurate localization, we propose sensor fusion system using encoder sensor and indoor GPS module as relative sensor and absolute sensor, respectively. To build a map, we developed a sensor based navigation algorithm and grid based map building algorithm based on Embedded Linux O.S. A wall following decision engine like an expert system was proposed for map building navigation. We proved this system's validity through field test.

벼의 원형질체 융합에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Fusion of Rice Protoplasts)

  • Rice callus was treated with 0.56M sucrose solution mixed with 5% pectinase and 10% cellulase, and the protoplasts isolated were transferred to 0.25 M sodium nitrate to induce protoplasmic fusion. Callus tissues were macerated well and degradation of cell walls also proceeded satisfactorily. When the protoplasts were transferred to sodium nitrate solution, many giant roundish protoplasts and some multilobed complex protoplasmic bodies were observed. Most of the fusions took place immediately after the protoplasts were transferred to sodium nitrate. Some multilobed protoplasts which failed to fuse in the initial stage took longer time, about two hours, to get completely fused and rounded-off. Multilobed protoplasmic bodies were invariably multinucleate, while giant round protoplasts had either several nuclei or had one nucleus of large size. Nuclear fusion, also, seemed to occur immediately after the protoplasts were transferred to sodium nitrate.

UV 개질된 PMMA 미세유체 장치의 열가소성 폴리머 용융 접합 (Thermoplastic Fusion Bonding of UV Modified PMMA Microfluidic Devices)

  • Thermoplastic fusion bonding is widely used to seal polymer microfluidic devices and optimal bonding protocol is required to obtain a successful bonding, strong bonding force without channel deformation. Besides, UV modification of the PMMA (poly-methyl methacrylate) is commonly used for chemical or biological application before the bonding process. However, study of thermal bonding for the UV modified PMMA was not reported yet. Unlike pristine PMMA, the optimal bonding parameters of the UV modified PMMA were $103^{\circ}C$, 71 kPa, and 35 minutes. A very low aspect ratio micro channel (AR=1:100, $20{\mu}m$ depth and $2000{\mu}m$ width) was successfully bonded (over 95%, n>100). Moreover, thermal bonding of multi stack PMMA chips was successfully demonstrated in this study. The results may applicable to fabricate a complex 3 dimensional microchannel networks.
