4세 남아에서 발견된 Xp11.2 염색체 재배열/TFE3 유전자 융합 연관 신세포 암의 영상 소견: 증례보고 및 문헌고찰 (Imaging Findings of Renal Cell Carcinoma Associated with Xp11.2 Translocation/TFE3 Gene Fusion in a 4-Year-Old Male: Case Report and Review of Literature)

  • 신세포암의 여러 종류 중 Xp11.2 염색체 재배열/TFE3 유전자 융합 연관 신세포암은 드물며 소아나 젊은 성인에서 더 흔한 것으로 알려져 있다. 이 증례보고는 병리학적으로 확인된 4세 남자 환자의 Xp11.2 염색체 재배열/TFE3 유전자 융합 연관 신세포암에 대한 것이다. 본 증례에서 종양은 컴퓨터 단층 촬영에서 우측 신장에 2.5 cm 크기의 경계가 불명확한 종괴로 보였으며, 초음파상 고에코 병변으로 보였다. 자기공명영상에서는 종괴 캡슐의 조영증강과 함께 종괴의 확산 제한이 보였다. 저자들은 이 드문 신세포암의 영상 소견에 대해 증례를 보고하고 문헌을 고찰하는 바이다.

Hydraulic Behaviors of KSTAR PF Coils in Operation

  • The superconducting coil system is one of the most important components in Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR), which has been operated since 2008. $Nb_3Sn$ and NbTi superconductors are being used for cable-in-conduit conductors (CICCs) of the KSTAR toroidal field (TF) and poloidal field (PF) coils. The CICCs are cooled by forced-flow supercritical helium about 4.5 K. The temperature, pressure and mass flow rate of the supercritical helium in the CICCs are interacting with each other during the operation of the coils. The complicate behaviors of the supercritical helium have an effect on the operation and the efficiency of the helium refrigeration system (HRS) by means of, for instance, pressure drop. The hydraulic characteristics of the supercritical helium have been monitored while the TF coils have stably achieved the full current of 35 kA. In other hands, the PF coils have been operated with various pulsed or bipolar mode, so the drastic changes happen in view of hydraulics. The heat load including AC loss on the coils has been analyzed according to the measurement. These activities are important to estimate the temperature margin in various PF operation conditions. In this paper, the latest hydraulic behaviors of PF coils during KSTAR operation are presented.

Gaussian분포의 질량함수를 사용하는 Dempster-Shafer영상융합 (Dempster-Shafer Fusion of Multisensor Imagery Using Gaussian Mass Function)

  • 본 연구에서는 Dempster-Shafer evidence theory에 기반하여 Gaussian 질량 함수를 사용하는 융합 기법을 제안하고 있다. Dempster-Shafer 융합은 비정확성과 불확실성 measures를 각각 belief 함수와 plausibility 함수로 나타내며 이 두 함수 값 사이의 간격을 나타내는 "belief interval"에 의해 불확실성의 정도가 표현된다. 이러한 Dempster-Shafer 융합기술을 이용하여 서로 다른 센서에서 수집된 영상 자료를 융합하여 사용하여 분류 결과의 정확성을 높이고 특히 분류를 위한 매개변수를 추정하는 훈련과정에서 복합 클래스를 설정할 수 있어 단순 클래스 설정으로 인한 훈련과정이 어려움을 피할 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 경기도 용인/능평 지역에서 관측 된 KOMPSAT EOC의 범색 영상 자료와 LANDSAT ETM+의 식생지수 자료에 대해 제안된 Dempster-Shafer 융합기술을 이용하여 분류 실험을 수행하였고 분류 결과는 서로 다른 센서간의 영상자료 융합을 위한 제안된 기법의 잠재적 효과성을 보여주고 있다.

다중 시기 SAR 자료를 이용한 토지 피복 구분을 위한 특징 추출과 융합 (Feature Extraction and Fusion for land-Cover Discrimination with Multi-Temporal SAR Data)

  • SAR 자료의 분류에서 토지 피복 구분 분류 정확도의 향상을 위해 이 논문은 다중 시기 SAR 자료를 이용한 분류에서의 특징 추출과 정보 융합 방법론을 제시하였다. 다중 시기 SAR 센서의 산란 특성을 고려하여 평균 후방 산란계수, 시간적 변이도와 긴밀도를 특징으로서 추출하였다. 이렇게 추출된 특징의 효율적인 응합을 위해 Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence(D-S 이론)와 퍼지 논리를 적용하였다. 특히 D-S 이론의 적용시 특징 기반 mass function 할당을 제안하였고, 퍼지 논리의 적용시 다양한 퍼지 결합 연산자의 결과를 비교하였다. 다중 시기 Radarsat-1 자료에의 적용 결과, 추출된 특징들은 서로 상호 보완적인 정보를 제공할 수 있으며 수계, 논과 도심지를 효율적으로 구분할 수 있었다. 그러나 산림과 밭은 구분이 애매한 경우가 나타났다. 정보 융합 방법론 측면에서, D-S 이론과 퍼지 Max와 Algebraic Sum 연산자를 제외한 다른 퍼지 연산자는 서로 유사한 분류 정확도를 나타내었다.

  • The Brownian motion or Wiener process, as the physical model of the stochastic procedure, is observed as an indexed collection random variables. Stochastic procedure are quite influential on the confinement potential fluctuation in the quadrupole ion trap (QIT). Such effect is investigated for a high fractional mass resolution Δm/m spectrometry. A stochastic procedure like the Wiener or Brownian processes are potentially used in quadrupole ion traps (QIT). Issue examined are the stability diagrams for noise coefficient, η=0.07;0.14;0.28 as well as ion trajectories in real time for noise coefficient, η=0.14. The simulated results have been obtained with a high precision for the resolution of trapped ions. Furthermore, in the lower mass range, the impulse voltage including the stochastic potential can be considered quite suitable for the quadrupole ion trap with a higher mass resolution.

퓨전디자인의 속성에 관한 연구 - 문화환경의 변화를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Properties of fusion Design -Especially on the Change of Cultural Environment-)

  • 문화의 접속이란 특정한 문화가 영향력을 가지고 다른 문화로 이동하는 흐름을 나타내는 것인데 이것을 부정적으로 표현하면 문화의 '침투'이지만 긍정적으로 표현하면 문화의 '융합'혹은 '퓨전(Fusion)'이 된다. 과거에는 민족주의와 국수주의가 사상적으로 이를 불허해왔고, 또 교통과 통신의 불편은 여기에 장애물로 작용했으며, 대부분 토속종교에 영향받는 국가들이었으므로 문화의 융합이란 용이하지 않았다. 그러나 오늘날은 세계화로 인한 국가관의 붕괴, 지역성의 파괴, 무역장벽의 철폐, 통신의 자유, 정보의 네트워크와 실시간 등은 많은 면에서 상호 이질문화를 쉽게 공유할 수 있게 하였다. 바로 여기에 퓨전이 가능하게 되었다. 오늘날 현대소비사회에 있어서의 퓨전현상은 과거보다 더욱 빠르고 광범위하게 진행 되어간다. 그리고 소비의 기호가 세분화되고 다양한 개성을 찾아나가려는 시도가 강하게 나타나는 오늘의 상황에서 볼 때 앞으로 더욱 많은 문화인자들이 퓨전이라는 이름 하에 상호 충돌과 절충을 시도하면서 융합의 고삐를 늦추지 않을 것으로 본다. 본 연구는 현대의 이러한 새로운 대중문화 양식의 한 현상인 "퓨전(fusion)"에서 특히 사회과학적 문화현상을 중심으로 그 특성을 연구하고자 하였다. 그리고 디자인분야 중 문화현상을 가장 잘 표현하고 있는 실내디자인에서의 퓨전현상을 찾아 이를 학문적으로 규명하고, 최근의 주요 동향에 대한 고찰을 바탕으로 향후 퓨전디자인(Fusion Design)의 방향을 전망하도록하였다.

Clinical Outcome of Modified Cervical Lateral Mass Screw Fixation Technique

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was 1) to analyze clinically-executed cervical lateral mass screw fixation by the Kim's technique as suggested in the previous morphometric and cadaveric study and 2) to examine various complications and bicortical purchase that are important for b-one fusion. Methods : A retrospective study was done on the charts, operative records, radiographs, and clinical follow up of thirty-nine patients. One hundred and seventy-eight lateral mass screws were analyzed. The spinal nerve injury, violation of the facet joint, vertebral artery injury, and the bicortical purchases were examined at each lateral mass. Results : All thirty-nine patients received instrumentations with poly axial screws and rod systems, in which one hundred and seventy-eight screws in total. No vertebral artery injury or nerve root injury were observed. Sixteen facet joint violations were observed (9.0%). Bicortical purchases were achieved on one hundred and fifty-six (87.6%). Bone fusion was achieved in all patients. Conclusion : The advantages of the Kim's technique are that it is performed by using given anatomical structures and that the complication rate is as low as those of other known techniques. The Kim's technique can be performed easily and safely without fluoroscopic assistance for the treatment of many cervical diseases.

Matched Comparison of Fusion Rates between Hydroxyapatite Demineralized Bone Matrix and Autograft in Lumbar Interbody Fusion

  • Objective : To compare the fusion rate of a hydroxyapatite demineralized bone matrix (DBM) with post-laminectomy acquired autograft in lumbar interbody fusion surgery and to evaluate the correlation between fusion rate and clinical outcome. Methods : From January 2013 to April 2014, 98 patients underwent lumbar interbody fusion surgery with hydroxyapatite DBM (HA-DBM group) in our institute. Of those patients, 65 received complete CT scans for 12 months postoperatively in order to evaluate fusion status. For comparison with autograft, we selected another 65 patients who underwent lumbar interbody fusion surgery with post-laminectomy acquired autograft (Autograft group) during the same period. Both fusion material groups were matched in terms of age, sex, body mass index (BMI), and bone mineral density (BMD). To evaluate the clinical outcomes, we analyzed the results of visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). Results : We reviewed the CT scans of 149 fusion levels in 130 patients (HA-DBM group, 75 levels/65 patients; Autograft group, 74 levels/65 patients). Age, sex, BMI, and BMD were not significantly different between the groups (p=0.528, p=0.848, p=0.527, and p=0.610, respectively). The HA-DBM group showed 39 of 75 fused levels (52%), and the Autograft group showed 46 of 74 fused levels (62.2%). This difference was not statistically significant (p=0.21). In the HA-DBM group, older age and low BMD were significantly associated with non-fusion (61.24 vs. 66.68, p=0.027; -1.63 vs. -2.29, p=0.015, respectively). VAS and ODI showed significant improvement after surgery when fusion was successfully achieved in both groups (p=0.004, p=0.002, HA-DBM group; p=0.012, p=0.03, Autograft group). Conclusion : The fusion rates of the hydroxyapatite DBM and Autograft groups were not significantly different. In addition, clinical outcomes were similar between the groups. However, older age and low BMD are risk factors that might induce non-union after surgery with hydroxyapatite DBM.

General Fragmentations of Alkaloids in Electrospray Ionization Tandem Mass Spectrometry

  • Various types of alkaloids observed in several herbal medicines were analyzed by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry in positive ion mode. In the present study, MS/MS spectralpatterns were investigated for eight-types of alkaloids (aporpine, protoberberine, tetrahydroprotoberberine, benzylisoquinoline, protopine, phthalide, morpine, and bisbenzylisoquinoline). For aporpine- and protoberberine-type alkaloids, main fragmentations occurred at substituted groups on rigid ring structures, not showing ring fusion. Interesting fragmentations due to iminolization and retro-Diels-Alder (RDA) reaction were observed in MS/MS spectra of protopine- and tetrahydroprotobereberine-type alkaloids. Also, several types of fragmentations such as inductive cleavage and ${\alpha}$-cleavage, or bond cleavage between two ring structures were observed depending on their structural characteristics. These fragmentation patterns are expected to allow instant classification of the specific alkaloid type in various MS/MS spectra of alkaloids.

First Example of Monometallic Palladium(II) Compound with Trans-Chelating Tridentate Ligand: Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Characterizations

  • The reaction of (COD)PdCl2 with new C3-symmetric tridentate L (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadien; L = 1,3,5-tris(picolinoyloxyethyl)cyanurate) in a mixture of acetone and dichloromethane produces single crystals consisting of unprecedented monometallacyclic [PdCl2(L)]. This cyclic compound arises from trans-chelation of two of three donating pyridyl groups of L, while the third pyridyl group remains uncoordinated. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) data on L exhibited the major peak corresponding to [C27H24N6O9 + H+]+. Fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry (FABMS) data on [PdCl2(L)], however, showed the mass peak corresponding to the L instead of the present palladium(II) compound species, due to the insolubility and dissociation in solution. The physicochemical properties of the present palladium(II) compound were fully characterized by means of infrared (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, thermal analysis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SC-XRD) measurement.
