반도체용 저온 열처리로의 Flat Zone 확장 및 온도편차 감소에 관한 연구 (Study on the Flat Zone Expansion and Temperature Deviation Reduction of Low Temperature Furnace for Semiconductor Process)

  • This paper is about the yield rate of lower temperature furnace for wafer heat-treatment. The flat-zone that the temperature in furnace has uniform distribution specific area is the significant variable to the yield rate. In this study, we researched about the ways how to widen the flat zone in the furnace using CFD. As a result, we confirmed that the characteristic of the flat-zone was changed when SCU(Super Cooling Unit) was used. We considered temperature control with above.

  • Pulverized coal (PC) has become an important auxiliary fuel in the iron and steel industry since the technique of pulverized coal injection (PCI) was developed for iron making. The combustion efficiencies of pulverized coal in blowpipes and tuyeres under various operational conditions are numerically predicted to determine the performance levels with regard to different locations of the nozzles in a blast furnace. A variety of parameters, including the pulverized coal quantities, oxygen amounts, inlet temperatures of the tuyeres, and the mass flow rate of coal carrier gas are taken into consideration. Also, in order to develop greater efficiency than those of existing coal injection systems, this study applies a flame measurement system using a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera and a frame grabber. It uses auto sampling algorithms from the flame shape information to determine the device for the optimal location control for PCI. This study finds further improvements of the blast furnace performance via the control of the PCI locations.

  • Large glass furnaces to produce glass for CRT are housed in huge chambers. It is costly to maintain such a chamber in constant temperature, humidity, and(air) pressure. In this study, first, we show that the process of such a huge furnace, which requires the steady maintenance of high temperature, is badly affected by the ambient temperature of surrounding air. Second, an alternative process which not only maintains the relatively constant temperature dispersion around the furnace, but is also economical will be proposed. We calculate the necessary volume of air inflow in the appendix.

  • Analysis of the internal state of the blast furnace is needed to predict and control the operating condition. Especially, it is important to develop modeling of blast furnace for predicting cohesive zone because shape of cohesive zone influences overall operating condition of blast furnace such as gas flow, chemical reactions and temperature. because many previous blast furnace models assumed cohesive zone to be fixed, they can't evaluate change of cohesive zone shape by operation condition such as PCR, blast condition, and production rate. In this study, an axi-symmetric 2-dimensional steady state model is proposed to simulate blast furnace process. In this model, cohesive zone is changed by solid temperature range, FVM is used for numerical simulation. To find location of cohesive zone whole calculation procedure is iterated Until cohesive zone is converged. Through this approach, shape of cohesive zone, velocity, composition and temperature within the furnace are predicted by model.

열연 루퍼시스템의 퍼지 장력제어 (A Fuzzy Tension Control Method for the Coupled Looper System at the Hot Rolling Process)

  • The hot rolling process ranks the highest position for production in steel making process. The hot strip manufacturing processes consist of the reheating furnace, roughing and finishing mill and coiler. The reheating furnace heats the slab. The roughing and finishing mill produce the hot strip from slab. The hot strip quality mainly depends on finishing mill, which consists of 4-high 7 stands. The looper is installed between stands and is used for controlling the strip tension by the looper angle for better material flow. It is difficult to control the strip tension with the coupled looper system from interaction between the looper angle and strip tension. Too much deviation of strip tension severely affects the poor width quality of the hot strip. It is important to control simultaneously both the looper angle and strip tension with each of their target values. This paper proposes the fuzzy tension control, which is developed to minimize the width deviation of the hot strip by maintaining the proper strip tension between stands and to achieve the stable operation of the coupled looper system. The fuzzy tension control performance is compared with the conventional PID control by experimental results.

  • Recently batch type cold rolling processes have been replaced by continuous annealing type processes for cold rolled sheets of mild steel and high strength steel in order to obtain higher productivity, labor saving. In the continuous annealing line, it is very important to maintain the target steel strip temperature at the exit side of each furnace. The automation system of continuous annealing line is based on a hierachical composition. This paper shows how to preset the set value of furnace temperature control for the heating section in a continuous annealing line. Saying in other words, this paper presents the development of an adaptive control approach to control the exit strip temperature in the continuous annealing line. There are three parts in this approach; one is a process modelling and another is recursive parameter estimation and the other is a design of temperature controller.

And Porous media is assumed for the gas flow and the potential flow for the solid flow. Velocity, pressure and temperature distribution for gas and solid are displayed as the simulation results. The cohesive zones are figured in 3 different operating conditions.

  • A weaving machine for texture industry uses a lot of needles and the nib of these needles is necessary to be kept with sharp edge. The re-grinding of the needle by a special purpose of the grinding wheel can be selected for achieving this aim. This study focused on the manufacture and performance assessment the special grinding wheel. A forming mold for the grinding wheel was designed and a sintering process for furnace process control was established. Manufactured wheels were tested for determining suitable grade of the wheel. The selection of optimal grinding conditions was achieved by a response surface method and a genetic algorithm.

  • The high degree of viscosity and the non-Newtonian fluid dynamics characterizes the process inside a glass furnace. Because the temperature is fluctuating in very short time-intervals, it is hard to determine that the status of its fluctuation is stable or unstable. Usually Shewhart-chart is used to determine the control status. However because of the characteristics of the temperature fluctuations in the glass furnace it does not directly serve the purpose here. Therefore we suggest using ARIMA to diagnose control status and confirm that the method using ARIMA can be a better tool than Shewhart-chart.
