Design of a Pseudo Gaussian Function Network Using Asymmetric Activation Functions

  • In conventional RBF network, the activation functions of hidden layers generally are symmetric functions like gaussian function. This has been considered to be one of the limiting factors for the network to speed up learning of actuately describing a given function. To avoid this criticism, we propose a pseudo gaussian function (PGF) whose deviation is changed according to the direction of incoming pattern. This property helps to estimate the given function more effectively with a minimal number of centers because of its flexibility of functional representation. MATRIX OPERATORS ON FUNCTION-VALUED FUNCTION SPACES

  • We study spaces of continuous-function-valued functions that have the property that composition with evaluation functionals induce $weak^*$ to norm continuous maps to ${\ell}^p$ space ($p{\in}(1,\;{\infty})$). Versions of $H{\ddot{o}}lder^{\prime}s$ inequality and Riesz representation theorem are proved to hold on these spaces. We prove a version of Dixmier's theorem for spaces of function-valued matrix operators on these spaces, and an analogue of the trace formula for operators on Hilbert spaces. When the function space is taken to be the complex field, the spaces are just the ${\ell}^p$ spaces and the well-known classical theorems follow from our results.

  • Intervals can be used in the representation of uncertainty. In this regard, we consider monotone interval-valued set functions and the Choquet integral. This paper investigates characterizations of monotone interval-valued set functions and provides applications of the Choquet integral with respect to monotone interval-valued set functions, on the space of measurable functions with the Hausdorff metric.

  • In this article, a hybrid class of the q-Hermite based Apostol type Frobenius-Genocchi polynomials is introduced by means of generating function and series representation. Several important formulas and recurrence relations for these polynomials are derived via different generating function methods. Furthermore, we consider some relationships for q-Hermite based Apostol type Frobenius-Genocchi polynomials of order α associated with q-Apostol Bernoulli polynomials, q-Apostol Euler polynomials and q-Apostol Genocchi polynomials.

  • In many areas of finite element analysis, elements with special properties are required to achieve maximal accuracy. As examples, we may mention infinite elements for the representation of spatial domain that extend to special and singular elements for modeling point and line singularities engendered by geomeric features such as reentrant corners and cracks. In this paper, we study on modified shape function representing singular properties and algorigthm for the pollution adaptive mesh generation. We will also show that the modified shape function reduces pollution error and local error.

  • In this paper, an automatic histogram specification method is proposed for image enhancement, Fuzzy membership value is adopted for the representation of image histogram. The desired PDF is automatically constructed by the fuzzy membership value. Fuzzy membership value is extracted from dark membership, bright membership function and original histogram. The effectual results are demonstrated by desired PDF which meet the image enhancement requirements. The performance and effectiveness are shown by the analysis and the resultant image in comparison with histogram equalization method.

  • This article studies the monotonicity, log-convexity of the modified Lommel functions by using its power series and infinite product representation. Some properties for the ratio of the modified Lommel functions with the Lommel function, sinh and cosh are also discussed. As a consequence, $Tur{\acute{a}}n$ type and reverse $Tur{\acute{a}}n$ type inequalities are given. A Rayleigh type function for the Lommel functions are derived and as an application, we obtain the Redheffer-type inequality.

  • We give a generalization of bilateral mock theta functions of order eight and show that they are $F_q$-functions. We also give an integral representation for these functions. We give a relation between mock theta functions of the first set and bilateral mock theta functions of the second set.
