  • In recent years, studies about multitasking becomes more important. During multitasking, operators can feel frustration when they are interrupted during the task and frustration can affect operator's emotional state and performance. However there is no research on measuring the frustration quantitatively in multitasking environment. In this paper, we suggested quantitative measurement of frustration during multitasking. In order to measure the frustration, we made a mathematical representation with emotional decay model and the initial intensity of frustration based on cognitive closure theory. The amount of initial intensity could be represented as the ratio of actual remaining time to expected remaining time. By the experiment, we measured the frustration during the experiment and compared this values with values of frustration dimension of NASA-TLX. Finally we got the linear regression model with a good accuracy ($R^2=0.986$). This study contributes to measuring the emotion quantitatively by the relation of expected and actual remaining time in multitasking environment.

  • The present study focused on frustration emotion investigated the variables evoking frustration and the process in which sense of frustration would be overcome, and explored the principle of aesthetics the consumers under the frustration might prefer in choosing goods. The results of this study are as follows. First, consumers usually felt frustration rather than anger when it became obvious that their objectives could not be met and that they failed to achieve their objectives due to uncontrollable cause. Second, consumers who felt frustration wanted to receive emotional support and comfort from close acquaintances rather than to cope actively with the unsuccessful situation by renewed challenges. Third, consumers, once frustrated, preferred harmony principle rather than emphasis principle in terms of esthetics in choosing design of goods. Therefore, marketing managers are advised to approach to the consumers who felt frustration on the basis of harmony principle in design of goods.

  • This study attempted to analyze the psychological impact of mentally retarded children on their normal siblings in the family. The data were collected from siblings of 130 mentally retarded children using a questionnaire with a semantic differential scale. ANOVA and simple correlation coefficient tests were employed to examine the relationship between the siblings’ self-concept and psychological frustration. The major results of the study are as following. 1. Female siblings showed a lower degree of self-concept than male siblings. 2. No significant relationship was found between self-concept and frustration stimuli. 3. Parent related frustration stimuli was no significantly different in sex age, siblings, religion, and retardation level of mentally retarded children. 4. Siblings related frustration stimuli was significantly related to only one item in sex. 5. Their peers related frustration stimuli while sex as well as religion was significantly related to only one item.

  • A party to the charter will not be able to rely upon the doctrine of frustration if an event which makes further performance impossible has been caused by his breach of the charter. Strictly speaking, this is not a situation of frustration at all but rather a case of discharge of the contract by breach. In the Sea Angel case, the defendant entered into a Lloyd's Standard Form of Salvage Agreement with owners of the casualty on the LOF 2000 form, incorporating the SCOPIC clause. The time charter was on the terms of the Shelltime 4 form. This case the trial of the action brought by the claimants owners of the vessel Sea Angel claiming outstanding hire from the defendant charterers. This Case was issued whether charterparty frustrated by refusal of port authorities to issue "No Demand Certificate" allowing port clearance pending payment of oil spillage clean-up costs. The court concluded that no attempt had yet been made to invoke the assistance of the Pakistani court to obtain the release of the vessel. There was not so radical or fundamental a change in the obligation assumed by defendant as to establish frustration. The purpose of this study aims to analyse frustration and time charter in the Sea Angel case.

  • The purpose of this study were to study the relationships of the locus of control and the frustration reaction of adolescents according to their family-environment. The objects are 369 students in the second grade of middle schools located in Kwangju and Chonnam. The instruments used in this study are "Internal-External locus of control scale for students" (the Nowicki and Strickland's scale translated by Jung Eun-Joo and Son Jin-Hoon) " Picture-Frustration Test" (by Kim Jae Eun and Kim Tai Ryun) The data is produced on frequency distribution percentile average standard deviation F-test Pearson's correlation with SAS computer program. The results are as follows: 1) The internal -external locus of control shows significant differences in the location sex. the number of siblings family pattern father's educational level and mother's occupation. 2) The reaction type for frustration shows statistically significant differences in accordance with their sex the number of siblings birthorder fathers grown-up place parents' age and parents' occupation. 3) The direction of aggression for frustration shows significant difference in according with the location sex the number of siblings birth order family pattern parents' grown-up place and father's educational level. 4) According to the internal-external locus of control the frustration reaction scores are different significantly. Internal adolescents have positive relation with Need-Persistance and Impunitiveness and negative relation with Obstade-Dominance and Extrapunitiveness.

As a result, driver's the prefer speed is higher than the normal speed on 4 road condition(high-way, urban-way, residential-way, rural-way). Also, driver's speed desire frustration caused statistical effect in driving stress on 4 road condition. speed desire frustration effect Driving Stress Scale(DSS) 5 sub-scale factors(progress obstacle, traffic circumstance, accident & regulation, regulation obedience, time pressure). This is that driver who experience much speed desire frustration creates high driving stress. Speed desire frustration analyzed high driver and low driver's Driving Stress Scale(DSS) score and overspeed regulation and traffic accident experience difference. Bullying, social support, and frustration showed average scores of 2.23, 3.60, and 2.75 points, respectively. There was a positive correlation between bullying, social support, and frustration. All of the subordinate variables of bullying showed significant impacts on frustration (p<.05), with psychological harassment showing the greatest impact (${\beta}=.340$), followed by bullying in interpersonal relationships (${\beta}=.149$) and bullying at work (${\beta}=.130$). In all the interaction items of the subordinate variable bullying ${\times}$ social support, bullying had a significant impact on frustration at p<.01, while the highest impact was shown in the interaction item of bullying ${\times}$ member support (${\beta}=.456$). The results imply that intangible combat power and solidarity among soldiers can be guaranteed only when superiors and peers provide full support for soldiers who are victims of bullying.

  • Local college students are differenciated from Seoul-located university students and they experience discrimination and prejudice. The present paper examines the money-relating daily frustration among local university students compared to Seoul-located college students. For survey, twenty items were constructed in order to figure out daily frustration. About 400 local-college students and about 250 students were interviewed for the survey. As a result of Chi-square analysis, this study finds that local college students are more likely to confront money-relating frustration, compared to the Seoul-located college students. Youth allowance can be suggested for local college students in order to solve their confronting frustration, especially toward the convergence era.

  • This study examined the effects of critical thinking diposition, problem-solving ability, frustration tolerance on the college adaptation among nursing students Participants were asked to complete self-report surveys between October 1, 2017 and October 11, 2017. A total of 169 surveys were analyzed using SPSS 25.0(descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, & multiple regression). Nursing major satisfaction(F=12.66, p<.001) were critical factors affecting college adaptation. Critical thinking disposition(r=.22, p<.01), frustration tolerance(r=-.46, p<.001) were significant factors affecting college adaptation for nursing students. These results indicate that programs that develop critical thinking, frustration tolerance are necessary for nursing students in order to promote college adaptation.
