내한촉진제를 사용한 고로시멘트 모르타르의 수축성상 (Shrinkage Properties of Blast Furnance Slag Cement Mortar by using Frost-Resistant Accelerator)

  • 고로시멘트와 내한촉진제를 병용한 모르타르의 수축특성 및 수축성상에 미치는 영향에 대해 검토했다. 그 결과, OPC, BB 모두 내한촉진제를 첨가함에 따라 굳지 않은 성상에 미치는 영향은 작고, 초기재령부터 압축강도는 커진다. 또한, 내한 촉진제를 표준 사용량 이상으로 다량 사용할 경우에는 초기재령에 있어서의 팽창거동, 특히 강도발현과 팽창성의 관계에 대해 검토할 필요가 있다. 한편, 내한촉진제를 첨가함으로써 OPC, BB 모두 길이변화는 증가하는 경향을 확인할 수 있었다. 내한촉진제를 첨가함에 따라 직경 30nm 이하의 세공량, 특히 직경 20~30nm의 세공량 및 ink-bottle 세공량이 감소하여 수축량은 커지게 되며, 이 범위의 세공량의 변화가 수축성상에 미치는 영향이 크다고 판단된다.

  • 본 논문은 전기로 산화 슬래그를 굵은 골재로 적용하여 제작된 콘크리트에 대하여 초기 재령 시기에 동결 피해를 받았을 때 발생하는 성능 저하에 대한 콘크리트의 역학적 특성과 공극 구조를 평가하고자 하였다. 본 연구에 따르면, 전기로 산화 슬래그 골재를 혼입한 콘크리트의 초기동결 피해가 발생할 경우, 100~150 ㎛ 영역에 존재하던 공극의 피크점이 큰 영역으로 이동하며, 24시간을 초과하지 않도록 해야 200 ㎛ 미만의 공극이 유지되고 500 ㎛ 이상의 공극이 증가하지 않으므로 동결 저항성 개선이 가능한 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 전기로 산화 슬래그와 BFS를 함께 사용하면, 천연골재를 사용한 경우에 비해 상대 압축강도가 증가하였다. 한편, 탄성계수 및 공명진동수의 경우, 압축강도와 비교하여 초기동결로 인해 크게 변화하지 않으므로, 초기동결 피해에 관한 성능 저하를 평가하기 위해서는 각 실험 요소간의 상호관계를 분석해야 할 필요가 있다.

  • A mathematical model is presented to predict the frost properties and heat and mass transfer within the frost layer formed on a cold plate. The model consists of the laminar flow equations for air-side and the empirical correlation of local frost density. The correlation of local frost density used in this study is obtained from various experimental conditions by considering frosting parameters. The numerical results are compared with experimental data to validate the model, and agree well with experimental data within a maximum error of 9%.

직교류내 원통형 냉각표면에서의 착상 (Frost Formation on a Cold Cylindrical Surface in Cross Flow)

  • This paper presents a semi-empirical model to predict the frost growth formed on the cold cylinder surface. The model is composed of the correlations for frost properties including the various frosting parameters and local heat transfer coefficient. The effects of varying the correlations for local heat transfer coefficient on the frost growth are examined to establish the model. The numerical results are compared with experimental data obtained by the previous researchers. The results agree well with the experimental data within a maximum error of $13\%$. As the results, the frost thickness decreases with changing angular position from front stagnation to separation point. Also, the effects of air velocity on the frost growth are negligible, as compared to the other frosting parameters.

  • In this paper, frosting experiments were conducted with variations of frosting parameters in order to obtain the correlations of frost properties. As a result, the local thickness, density, and surface temperature of the frost layer were presented. The dimensionless correlations for the frost thickness, frost density, frost surface temperature and heat transfer coefficient were derived as functions of dimensionless frosting parameters by using a dimensional analysis.

Characteristic of Frost Formed on Thermally Conductive Plain Plastic Plate

  • In order to select a new material for a heat exchanger, the frosting behavior of a thermally conductive plastic based on PBT was compared to the frosting behavior of aluminum and three types of plastics based on PTFE. The frosting behavior on the 1 mm thick PBT specimen was similar to that of the aluminum specimen but not that of the pure PTFE specimen. The properties of the frost formed on the specimens were affected by both the thermal conductivity and surface characteristics of the materials. The heat and mass transfer rates of the thermally conductive plastic were almost equivalent to those of the aluminum specimen.

  • This study presents the laboratory properties on the frost heave under various moisture contents and compaction efforts in pavement subgrade soil. Many researches were conducted on the frost heave. However, the researches with the domestic soils have not been so active until now. In particular, the evaluation of the frost heave in pavement subgrade soils was not established by many researchers. The problems relating with the frost heave have been serious causes in the distresses of pavements. The study was performed using an appropriate field simulation. The research results revealed that the drainage conditions in earth work should be treated cautiously.

열교환기 휜에서의 서리 성장 (Growth of frost formed on heat exchanger fins)

  • In this study, frost behavior on two dimensional fins of a heat exchanger was experimentally investigated. Temperature distribution on a 2-D fin surface and frost properties were measured in the directions perpendicular to and parallel to airflow. The results indicated that the temperature gradient in the direction perpendicular to airflow was large because of fin heat conduction, while that in the direction parallel to airflow was very small. Frost thickness in the airflow direction decreased from the leading edge towards the trailing edge of the fin due to leading edge effect. The reduction rate of frost thickness in the airflow direction, however, was very small compared with that in the direction perpendicular to the airflow, as affected by the temperature distribution.

전산해석을 이용한 착상이 핀튜브 열교환기 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the performance of the finned tube heat exchanger affected by the frosting using CFD tool)

  • We conducted a study by computational simulation about the effects of frost thickness on the pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics as whole heat exchanger configuration changes. In order to perform the analysis for validation, we assumed that frost properties have constant values and the frost layers that are formed on the fin and tube surfaces are uniform. In order to find the constant thermal conductivity of frost layer, a variety of frost thermal conductivities are performed in our work and compared with the results by Lee et al. [4] and Yang et al. [5] proposed many experimental data about the 2-rows and 2-columns finned tube heat exchanger. The numerical results agreed well with the experimental data when frost conductivity is 0.07W/mK. After the validation had performed, we applied this procedure to the finned tube heat exchanger of domestic refrigeration and investigated the thermo-hydraulic characteristic of the heat exchanger affected by frost thickness according to the inlet velocities and temperatures of air considering the configuration change such as fin pitch.
