적층조건에 따른 혼성 원형 박육부재의 충격압궤거동 (Impact Collapse Behavior of Hybrid Circular Thin-walled Member by Stacking Condition)

  • The recent trend of vehicle design aims at crash safety and environmentally-friendly aspect. For the crash safety aspect, energy absorbing members should be absorbed with collision energy sufficiently. But vehicle structure must be light weight for the environmentally-friendly aspect, in order to improve fuel efficiency and to reduce tail gas emission. Therefore, the light weight of vehicle must be achieved in a status of securing safety of crash. An aluminum or CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) is representative one among the light-weight materials. In this study, impact collapse behavior of circular hybrid thin-walled member is evaluated. The hybrid members are manufactured by wrapping CFRP prepreg sheets outside the aluminum circular members in the autoclave. Because the CFRP is an anisotropic material whose mechanical properties change with its stacking condition, special attention is given to the effects of the stacking condition on the collapse behavior evaluation of the hybrid thin-walled member. Collapse mode and energy absorption capability of the hybrid thin-walled member are analyzed with change of the fiber orientation angle and interface number.

  • Even though 30inch optical telescope at Kyung Hee Astronomy Observatory has been used to produce a series of scientific achievements since its first light in 1992, numerous difficulties in operating of the telescope have hindered the precise observations needed for further researches. Since the currently used PC-TCS(Personal Computer based Telescope Control System) software based on ISA-bus type is outdated, it doesn't have a user friendly interface and make it impossible to scale. Also accumulated errors which are generated by discordance from input and output signals into a motion controller required new control system. Thus we have improved the telescope control system by updating software and modifying mechanical parts. We applied a new BLDC(brushless DC) servo motor system to the mechanical parts of the telescope and developed a control software using Visual Basic6.0. As a result, we could achieve a high accuracy in controlling of the telescope and use the user friendly GUI(Graphic User Interface).

  • 산업과 기술이 발전하면서 점점 더 향상된 기능과 성능이 우수한 접착제를 요구하고 있다. 고무수지의 장점, viscoelastic 한 점을 이용하고 단점을 보완하기 위하여 반구조 형태의 점착 접착제를 개발하였다. 또 용매를 이용하지 않아 요즈음에 문제가 되는 환경에도 부담을 줄이는 친환경성 점착제라 할 수 있다. 한편에 epoxy functional group과 다른 한편에 hydroxyl functional group을 함유하고 있는 poly(ethylene/butylene)과 한편에 hydroxyl functional group를 가지고 있는 poly(ethylene/butylene)에 UV 개시제를 이용하여 interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) 구조를 형성하고 여기에 점착 부여 수지로써 hydrocarbon resin을 첨가하여 고온에서 고무 수지가 갖고 있는 단점을 보완하였다.

  • Among the mainstream of this society has quickly adopted computer technology as part of their daily life, the ever growing group of elderly people, which will increase from 7% of the population in 2000 to being 14% just 18 years later, has been being exposed to computer using environment more than ever before. According to the survey of Korean government in 2005, the number of the elderly using computer has been rising actually, so web-based survey to identify housing needs of the elderly seems to have lots of possibilities as a useful tool for them. This study aims at comparing web-based survey tool with paper-based one, developed to identify the elderly needs on digital home planning. Experimental method and in-depth interview were employed. The participants were divided into 2 groups, web-based and paper-based survey group. Each group was controlled over by age (average 60 years old), gender and computer skill. As a results, web-based survy tool was revealed as effective to clearer understanding and causing more interests and more available, but less easy to handle than paper-based survey one. Through the in-depth interview, web-based survey tool was identified as a more effective method to figure out the needs of the elderly who are familiar with computer.

VLBI NETWORK SIMULATOR: AN INTEGRATED SIMULATION TOOL FOR RADIO ASTRONOMERS

  • In this paper we introduce a software package, the Very long baseline interferometry Network SIMulator (VNSIM), which provides an integrated platform assisting radio astronomers to design Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) experiments and evaluate the network performance, with a user-friendly interface. Though VNSIM is primarily motivated by the East Asia VLBI Network, it can also be used for other VLBI networks and generic interferometers. The software package not only integrates the functionality of plotting (u, v) coverage, scheduling the observation, and displaying the dirty and CLEAN images, but also adds new features including sensitivity calculations for a given VLBI network. VNSIM provides flexible interactions on both command line and graphical user interface and offers friendly support for log reports and database management. Multi-processing acceleration is also supported, enabling users to handle large survey data. To facilitate future developments and updates, all simulation functions are encapsulated in separate Python modules, allowing independent invoking and testing. In order to verify the performance of VNSIM, we performed simulations and compared the results with other simulation tools, showing good agreement.

바이오폴리올 함량에 따른 친환경 수분산 폴리우레탄의 합성 및 특성 (Synthesis and Properties of Eco-friendly Waterborne Polyurethane according to Bio-polyol Contents)

  • 본 연구에서는bio polyol 함량에 따라 bio polyol based 친환경 수분산 폴리우레탄을 합성하고 그 특성을 알아보고자 하였다. Polyester polyol(DT-1040)과 castor oil based polyol(COP)의 비율에 따른 bio polyol based 수분산 폴리우레탄을 성공적으로 합성한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 합성된 bio polyol based 수분산 폴리우레탄의 Tg는 -70 ℃와 -30 ℃ 부근에서 나타났으며, COP의 함량이 증가할수록 유리전이온도 구간이 넓어지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, COP의 함량이 증가할수록 인장강도는 감소하였고, 접착력은 DT-1040:COP=7:3일 때 최고값을 나타내었다.

  • In the near future, robots will be used for the personal use. To provide useful services to humans, it will be necessary for robots to understand human intentions. Consequently, the development of emotional interfaces for robots is an important expansion of human-robot interactions. We designed and developed an intelligent emotional interface for the robot, and applied the interfaces to our humanoid robot, AMIET.   • This study deals with the analysis of the effectiveness of a safer belt in frontal crash. ATB, Articulated Total Body, program is used as a dynamics solver of the occupant model. ATB is a public code, however, the program is somewhat cumbersome to use due to lack of sufficient user interface. A preprocessor and a postprocessor are, therefore, developed for a user friendly graphic interface in Windows environment. Dialog boxes are used for an interface with GEBOD, Generator of Body Data, for human anthropometry and with ADAMS for vehicle dynamics. It is found through three test simulations that simulated results are in good agreement with those obtained by ATB. The effect of the initial slack of safety belt is investigated for frontal crash using the developed program.

  • Recent social needs for promoting traffic safety increased and the demand social security in economic, increasing the demand for environmentally friendly rail transport. In particular, when train express such as to secure reliability KTX(Korea Train eXpress) from potential disaster(fire) in the train operation caused by the train express running has been very important. Railroad fire extinguishing system is operated to fire exploding before reaching the flashing point more important than early to quickly detect because of CAN(Controller Area Network) communication to fire suppression and fire receiver, interface, fire fighting equipment from HMI((Human Machine Interface) and fire high-performance to research and development for intelligent composite fire receiver is required.

  • 본 연구는 사용자 인터페이스의 문제점을 사용자의 입장에서 조명하고 사용자 인터페이스의 중요성과 사용자 중심적 설계의 필요성을 강조하고자 하였다. 사용자들이 검색성능이 우수하지 않은 검색시스템을 이용하면서도 만족을 느끼는 False Positives 현상은 사용하기 쉽고 편리하다고 인식하는 웹 기반의 인터페이스를 사용할 때 선명하게 들어 남에 따라 인터페이스의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 정보검색시스템이 우수한 검색성능과 다양한 기능을 가지고 있다하더라도 사용자는 이 기능들을 사용하기 편리하고 유용하지 않는 한 전혀 활용하지 않는다는 현상을 목격한 ELSA시스템 구축팀은 인터페이스의 중요성을 인식하고 인터페이스를 사용자 중심적으로 설계하고자 노력하였다. 사용자의 검색행태, 사용자의 선호, 사용자의 요구사항을 인터페이스 컨셉으로 반영하고 그 컨셉을 만족시킬 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 강구한 ELSA 시스템 구축 사례를 고찰함으로써 사용자 중심적인 인터페이스 설계의 중요성을 노정하고자 하였다.
