Reduction of Radiated Emission of an Infrared Camera Using a Spread Spectrum Clock Generator (확산 스펙트럼 생성기를 이용한 적외선 카메라의 방사노이즈 저감에 관한 연구)

  • The infrared camera is difficult to satisfy the RE-102 specification of Mil-Std-461. Especially, in the case of UAV electronics, shielded cable is not used, so it is difficult to meet the electromagnetic compatibility standard. In the RE-102 test of the IR camera for UAV, radiated noise exceeding 30 dBuV/m was observed in the range of 50 MHz to 200 MHz. As a result of pcb em scan, peak noise which caused by the harmonic frequency of the digital control signal clock was observed. Radiated noise was reduced by up to 22.9 dBuV/m by applying the spread spectrum clock generator(SSCG) with 3 % down spreading method to the camera control clock.

  • PST stands for the Premium Sales Tool for Product Consulting is customized product catalog system. In other words, the product classification categories of content for consulting and sales to customers by providing useful information for the maximization of an overall system. These problems with mobility and flexibility of updating the solution to integrate mobile with mobile devices, but high-performance high-resolutions era content data continuously, but still it is difficult to handle. In this paper, to solve this problem, depending on the user's gesture by allowing periodic allocation and release of a problem for load generation enhanced by improving the PST system has been designed and implemented. Implementation was a result of the test the performance of the system, that PA system that has been provided by the traditional DA system show the allocation and the average 78% of the rate of decrease the load is released in the frequency of page, CPU utilization was reduced an average 72% I was confirmed.

  • We investigate the OFDM-based wireless LAN systems operating in the 60 GHz frequency band as part of the fourth-generation (4G) systems. The 60 GHz band is of much interest since this is the band in which a massive amount of spectral space has been allocated worldwide for dense wireless local communications. This paper gives an overview of 60 GHz bandchannel characteristics and an effect on phase noise. The performance of OFDM system is severely degraded by the local oscillator phase noise, which causes both common phase error and inter-carrier interference. In this paper, we apply phase noise suppression (PNS) algorithm that is easy for implementation to OFDM based 60 GHz wireless LAM system and analyze the SER performance. In case of using the PNS algorithm, SER performance is improved about 6dB, 7.5dB, respectively in 16, 64-QAM.

Impact of Power Control Optimization on the System Performance of Relay Based LTE-Advanced Heterogeneous Networks

  • Decode-and-forward relaying is a promising enhancement to existing radio access networks and is already standardized in 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) as a part of long term evolution (LTE)-Advanced Release 10. Two inband operation modes of relay nodes are supported, namely type 1 and type lb. Relay nodes promise to offer considerable gain for system capacity or coverage, depending on the deployment prioritization, in a cost-efficient way. Yet, in order to fully exploit the benefits of relaying, the inter-cell interference which is increased due to the presence of relay nodes should be limited. Moreover, large differences in the received power levels from different users should be avoided. The goal is to keep the receiver dynamic range low in order to retain the orthogonality of the single carrier-frequency division multiple access system. In this paper, an evaluation of the relay based heterogeneous deployment within the LTE-Advanced uplink framework is carried out by applying the standardized LTE Release 8 power control scheme both at evolved node B and relay nodes. In order to enhance the overall system performance, different power control optimization strategies are proposed for 3GPP urban and suburban scenarios. A comparison between type 1 and type 1b relay nodes is as well presented to study the effect of the relaying overhead on the system performance in inband relay deployments. Comprehensive system level simulations show that the power control is a crucial means to increase the cell edge and system capacities, to mitigate inter-cell interference and to adjust the receiver dynamic range for both relay node types.

A Study on the Satisfaction Level with the Purchasing and Size of Ready-to-Wear for Middle-aged Women (40·50대 중년여성의 기성복 구매 및 치수만족도 조사)

  • This study aims to present the basic information on ready-made clothes production for middle-aged women by examining the clothing-related problems due to the body-shape changes of middle-aged women, and accordingly analyzing the satisfaction level with the purchasing and size of ready-made clothes among the 40-50's women. For this study, a survey was conducted to find out the satisfaction level with the purchasing and size of ready-made clothes. Among the total of 450 copies of questionnaires, 443 were collected, 400 of which were used in the analysis leaving out the rest imperfect ones. SPSS 11.0 Program was used in data analysis to get the frequency and percentage of each item. As for the preferred styles according to the age, respondents aged 45-49 preferred sweaters and trousers most, while most of middle-aged women preferred blouses and trousers most. As for the preferred styles according to occupations and body figures, most of middle-aged women preferred blouses and trousers most. The findings of this study examining the actual conditions of ready-made clothes purchase and wearing, and size satisfaction among the 40-50's women, who will be at the center of the aging populations in the Super-aged society highlight the need to correct the problems of adherence only to the prices, measures, and aesthetic aspects of fashion trends, to meet the requirements and preferences of ready-made clothes for aging women, and fulfill satisfactory functions according to the body figures in the upcoming Super-aged society.

A Survey of Objective Measurement of Fatigue Caused by Visual Stimuli (시각자극에 의한 피로도의 객관적 측정을 위한 연구 조사)

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate and review the previous researches about objective measuring fatigue caused by visual stimuli. Also, we analyze possibility of alternative visual fatigue measurement methods using facial expression recognition and gesture recognition. Background: In most previous researches, visual fatigue is commonly measured by survey or interview based subjective method. However, the subjective evaluation methods can be affected by individual feeling's variation or other kinds of stimuli. To solve these problems, signal and image processing based visual fatigue measurement methods have been widely researched. Method: To analyze the signal and image processing based methods, we categorized previous works into three groups such as bio-signal, brainwave, and eye image based methods. Also, the possibility of adopting facial expression or gesture recognition to measure visual fatigue is analyzed. Results: Bio-signal and brainwave based methods have problems because they can be degraded by not only visual stimuli but also the other kinds of external stimuli caused by other sense organs. In eye image based methods, using only single feature such as blink frequency or pupil size also has problem because the single feature can be easily degraded by other kinds of emotions. Conclusion: Multi-modal measurement method is required by fusing several features which are extracted from the bio-signal and image. Also, alternative method using facial expression or gesture recognition can be considered. Application: The objective visual fatigue measurement method can be applied into the fields of quantitative and comparative measurement of visual fatigue of next generation display devices in terms of human factor.

  • Vibrational problems in the domestic Small Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (SHAWT) are due to flap wise vibrations caused by varying wind velocities acting perpendicular to its blade surface. It has been reported that monitoring the structural health of the turbine blades requires special attention as they are key elements of a wind power generation, and account for 15-20% of the total turbine cost. If this vibration problem is taken care, the SHAWT can be made as commercial success. In this work, Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wires made of Nitinol (Ni-Ti) alloys are embedded into the Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) wind turbine blade in order to reduce the flapwise vibrations. Experimental study of Nitinol (Ni-Ti) wire characteristics has been done and relationship between different parameters like current, displacement, time and temperature has been established. When the wind turbine blades are subjected to varying wind velocity, flapwise vibration occurs which has to be controlled continuously, otherwise the blade will be damaged due to the resonance. Therefore, in order to control these flapwise vibrations actively, a non-linear current controller unit was developed and fabricated, which provides actuation force required for active vibration control in smart blade. Experimental analysis was performed on conventional GFRP and smart blade, depicted a 20% increase in natural frequency and 20% reduction in amplitude of vibration. With addition of active vibration control unit, the smart blade showed 61% reduction in amplitude of vibration.

Error Probability Analysis for the Initial Acquisition Using Sum Differential Correlation Methods (합산 차등 상관 방식을 활용하는 초기 동기 획득 시의 오율 성능 분석)

  • In communication systems, initial acquisition is required for the reliable transmission performance, and the analysis of the acquisition performance over various communication environments including different signal-to-noise ratios plays an important role in communication system design. Usage of differential correlation methods in initial synchronization procedure is desired when frequency offsets exist, and additional performance improvement can be achieved through proper modifications of conventional correlation schemes. In this paper, we derive the error probability of the initial acquisition and express it in terms of the Marcum Q-function, via statistical modeling of the differential correlator output. The result is generalized to the error probabilities of the extended differential correlation methods using the complex- and magnitude-sum of the correlator outputs. The derived probabilities can be applied for the acquisition performance verification of various communication systems including the DVB-S2 standard.

Probabilistic Method to Enhance ZigBee Throughput in Wi-Fi Interference Environment (Wi-Fi 간섭 환경에서 ZigBee 전송률 향상을 위한 확률적 방법)

  • The Internet of Things (IoT), which has recently attracted attention as next-generation IT industry, is based on a wired and wireless network platform that can connect various Things. However, it is challenging to implement the IoT platform because of the heterogeneity of the network. Particularly, the ZigBee transmission may be significantly harmed due to Wi-Fi with the relatively much higher power, and this is one of the reason making the platform implementation difficult. In this paper, the ZigBee transmission is measured and analyzed by the BEB algorithm for finding the slot time when ZigBee can transmit, and an actual transmission happens stochastically depending on the network environment. The simulation results show that it guarantees high success rate of the ZigBee transmission by overcoming Wi-Fi interference in the 2.4 GHz frequency band.

Computationally-Efficient Design of Training Symbol for Multi-Band MIMO-OFDM System (다중밴드를 사용하는 MIMO-OFDM에 적합한 연산효율적 훈련심볼의 설계)

  • In this paper, an efficient training symbol design with m-sequence is proposed for the MIMO-OFDM based next generation wireless transmission system which supports gigabits per second data rate. In the traditional blute force method, the preamble design is based on the case by case comparison with the system requirements. This paper discusses a training symbol design methodology for the MIMO-OFDM system based on the m-sequence which has been widely used in the spread spectrum communication areas due to its good correlation characteristics. Also the step-by-step design and performance verification method within the limited search space is discussed. The proposed method targets the design of the training symbol which satisfies system requirements for the packet based MIMO-OFDM wireless communication system including automatic gain control(AGC), timing synchronization, frequency and sampling offset estimation, and MIMO channel estimation.
