Reactor Noise is defined as the fluctuations of measured instrumentation signals during full-power operation of reactor which have informations on reactor system dynamics such as neutron kinetics, thermal-hydraulics, and structural dynamics. Reactor noise analyses of ex-core neutron detector signals have been performed to monitor the vibration modes of reactor internals such as fuel assembly and Core Support Barrel in Yonggwang 3&4 Nuclear Power Plant. A real time mode separation technique have been developed and applied for the analyses. It has been found that the first vibration mode frequency of the fuel assembly was around 2.5 Hz, the beam and shell mode frequencies of CSB(Core Support Barrel) 8 Hz and 14.5 Hz, respectively. Also the analyses data base have been constructed for the continuous monitoring and diagnose of the reactor internals.

This paper presents results of frequency domain spectroscopy (FDS) measurements on oil-impregnated pressboard insulation, their analyses and use of the data for modeling high frequency response (FRA) of transformers. The dielectric responses were measured in a broad frequency range, i.e. from 0.1 mHz to 1 MHz, on model samples containing different amount of moisture. The responses were parameterized with terms representing dc conductivity, low frequency dispersion and Cole-Cole polarization mechanisms and they were thereafter used to model the FRA response of a three-phase transformer.
Numerical analyses on the aerodynamic characteristics of a counter rotating axial flow fan is carried out using the frequency domain panel method. Front rotor and rear rotor blades of a counter rotating axial fan are designed by using the simplified meridional flow analysis method with the radial equilibrium equation and the free vortex design condition, according to design requirements. Performance characteristics of a counter rotating axial flow fan are estimated for the variation of design parameters such as the hub to tip ratio, the taper ratio and the solidity. Pressure losses were higher at leading edge and hub region of rotor blades. Characteristic curve of the counter rotating fan was overpredicted without consideration of viscous effect.
This paper describes numerical efforts to investigate combustion characteristics of HyShot scramjet combustor, where gaseous hydrogen is transversely injected into a supersonic cross flow. The corresponding altitude, angle of attack, and equivalence ratio are 35-23 km, $0^{\circ}$, and 0.426 respectively. Two-dimensional simulation reasonably predicts combustor inner pressure distribution and reveals periodic combustion characteristics of HyShot scramjet combustor. Altitude effects are also investigated and the strength of flow instability and subsonic boundary layer thickness affect the combustion efficiency according to altitudes. Frequency analyses provide the flow instability effects on the turbulent combustion in HyShot scramjet combustor.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the buckling and dynamic characteristics for the cylindrical shell under shear loading. To do this, a vibration model tests and analyses and static buckling analyses were performed for the reduced scale model of nuclear reactor vessel. From the results of vibration modal analysis with the pre-shear displacement loads, it is known that the beam vibration mode is not affected by the shear displacement, however shell vibration modes are significantly affected by it. As the pre-shear displacement increases to the critical buckling displacement, the 1st shell vibration frequency in greatly reduces and approaches to zero value.
Uncertainty study of shear strength characteristics of the marine clays was carried out based ell In-situ tests and laboratory tests on tile south-east coastal region of the Korean peninsula. Theoretical analyses were studied using both tile spherical cavity expansion theory in finite soil mass and the strain path method to determine tile cone factor using the undrained shear strengths obtained by in-situ tests, and the empirical methods in accordance with the ultimate resistance theory were also discussed. Analysis show that the empirical methods suggest more reasonable value than that of theoretical methods in terms of comparing the cone factor estimated using linear regression and frequency distribution analyses. The cone factors obtained by the empirical methods are 18, 15, and 6 respectively, from the results of total cone resistance, effective cone resistance, and excess porewater cone resistance method, and the estimated were similar to those of previous researcher's.
This paper describes the design and analyses of vibration driven electromagnetic energy harvester with high power generation which is suitable for supplying power generator from human body motion. The proposed harvester consists of magnet, coil, and SM (Soft magnetic Material). In order to generate more induced voltage, the SM to concentrate flux lines from end of magnetic poles was arranged into insert moving magnet. Each model was designed and analyzed by using ANSYS software to simulation. The maximum power is generated when load resistance of $1303\;{\Omega}$ is equal to coil resistance. The generated maximum power of for harvesters with SM is $677.85\;{\mu}W$ and 5.46 times higher than without SM at 6 Hz vibration frequency.
In this paper the capacity of Covariance Proper Transformation (CPT) analyses to provide information about the wind loading mechanisms of bluff bodies is investigated through the application to square cylinders. CPT is applied to the fluctuating pressure distributions on a single cylinder, as well as on a pair of cylinders in the tandem and side by side arrangements, with different separations. Both smooth and turbulent flow conditions are considered. First, through the analysis of the contributions of each CPT mode to the total fluctuating aerodynamic forces, a correspondence between modes and aerodynamic components is sought, which is then verified through examination of the mode shapes. When a correspondence between modes and aerodynamic components is found, an attempt is made to separate the different frequency contributions to the aerodynamic forces, provided by each mode. From the analyses it emerges that (a) in most cases each mode is associated to one single force component, that (b) retaining a limited number of modes allows reproducing the aerodynamic forces with a rather good accuracy, and that (c) each mode is mainly associated with one frequency of excitation.

This study investigates the fluidelastic instability characteristics of helical steam generator type tubes used in operating nuclear power plants. To obtain a natural frequency, corresponding mode shape, and participation factor, modal analyses using various conditions are performed for helical type tubes. Investigated are the effects of the number of turns, the number of supports, and the status of the inner fluid on the modal and fluidelastic instability characteristics of the tubes, which are expressed in terms of the natural frequency, the corresponding mode shape, and the stability ratio.
