발파진동실험을 이용한 사력댐의 고유주기 산정 (Evaluation of Fundamental Period of Rockfill Dam Using Blasting Vibration Test)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 댐 인접발파로 유발된 진동을 이용하여 사력댐의 고유주기를 산정하는 방법을 제시하고, 산정결과의 실효성을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 운영 중인 성덕댐에 대하여 국내 최초로 실대규모 근접 발파진동 실험을 수행하였다. 장약량과 발파 시추공심도를 4가지 유형으로 달리한 발파진동을 유발시키고, 각 유형별 발파 시에 댐 정상부에서 가속도를 계측하였다. 계측기록 중 발파로 인한 주 진동이후 자유진동감쇠에 의한 계측기록만을 발췌하였으며, 이에 대한 주파수응답 특성을 분석하여 대상댐의 고유주기를 산정하였다. 발파진동실험으로 구한 사력댐의 고유주기는 발파유형에 영향을 받지 않고 일관성 있는 결과를 보여줌을 확인하였다. 발파진동실험에 의한 대상댐의 고유주기 산정결과를 실지진 계측기록을 분석하는 방법으로 구한 기존의 연구결과와 비교해 본 결과, 그 경향성이 일치함을 확인하였다. 이로부터 지진계가 설치되지 않아 실지진 계측기록을 이용할 수 없는 사력댐의 경우, 인접발파에 따른 발파진동계측기록에 대한 분석으로도 고유주기를 실효성 있게 산정할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Sn3.5Ag와 Sn0.7Cu 무연솔더에 대한 고온 진동 신뢰성 연구 (Reliability of High Temperature and Vibration in Sn3.5Ag and Sn0.7Cu Lead-free Solders)

  • 본 연구에서는 고 융점을 지니는 Sn-3.5Ag, Sn-0.7Cu 솔더의 복합 진동 신뢰성을 고찰하였다. 테스트 샘플은 ENIG (Electroless Nikel Immersion Gold) 표면처리 된 BGA (Ball Grid Array)칩에 Sn-3.5Ag, Sn-0.7Cu 솔더볼을 접합 후, 솔더볼이 장착된 BGA부품을 OSP (Organic Solderability Preservative) 표면처리 된 PCB에 리플로우 공정을 통하여 실장 하였다. 복합 진동 신뢰성 시험 중에 부품의 저항 변화를 측정하기 위하여 BGA칩과 PCB는 데이지 체인을 구성하여 제작하였다. 이를 통한 저항의 변화와 시험 전후의 부품에 대한 전단 강도 시험을 통하여 두 종류의 솔더에 대한 복합환경에서의 신뢰성을 비교, 평가하였다. 120시간 복합 진동 동안 전기저항 증가와 접합강도 저하를 고려할 때 Sn-0.7Cu 솔더가 복합 환경에서 높은 안정성을 나타내었다.

  • The objective of this study is to review the current stare of earthquake simulation techniques using the shaking table and check the reliability. One degree-of-freedom(d.o.f.)and three d.o.f. aluminium shear models were used and 4m$\times$4m 6 d.o.f. shaking table was excitated in one horizontal direction to simulate 1940 El centro earthquake accelerogram (NS component). When the acceleration history of shaking table is compared to the desired one, it can be found that the overall histories are very similar, but that the lower frequency range (0~2 Hz) of the actual excitation has generally lower amplitude than that of the desired in fourier transform amplitude. Free vibration and white noise tests have shown almost the same values for natural frequencies, but shown quite different values for damping ratios, that is, 1.37% in case of r\free vibration test vs 14.76% in case of white noise test. The time histories of story shear versus story drift show the globally linear elastic behaviors. But the elliptical shape of the histories with one of the axis being the stiffness of the story implies the effect of viscous damping.

VIRTUAL PREDICTION OF A RADIAL-PLY TIRE'S IN-PLANE FREE VIBRATION MODES TRANSMISSIBILITY

  • A full nonlinear finite element P185/70Rl4 passenger car radial-ply tire model was developed and run on a 1.7-meter-diameter spinning test drum/cleat model at a constant speed of 50 km/h in order to investigate the tire transient response characteristics, i.e. the tire in-plane free vibration modes transmissibility. The virtual tire/drum finite element model was constructed and tested using the nonlinear finite element analysis software, PAM-SHOCK, a nonlinear finite element analysis code. The tire model was constructed in extreme detail with three-dimensional solid, layered membrane, and beam finite elements, incorporating over 18,000 nodes and 24 different types of materials. The reaction forces of the tire axle in vertical (Z axis) and longitudinal (X axis) directions were recorded when the tire rolled over a cleat on the drum, and then the FFT algorithm was applied to examine the transient response information in the frequency domain. The result showed that this PI 85/70Rl4 tire has clear peaks of 84 and 45 Hz transmissibility in the vertical and longitudinal directions. This result was validated against more than 10 previous studies by either theoretical or experimental approaches and showed excellent agreement. The tire's post-impact response was also investigated to verify the numerical convergence and computational stability of this FEA tire model and simulation strategy, the extraordinarily stable scenario was confirmed. The tire in-plane free vibration modes transmissibility was successfully detected. This approach was never before attempted in investigations of tire in-plane free vibration modes transmission phenomena; this work is believed to be the first of its kind.

스프링-점성형 비틀림 진동댐퍼 설계 및 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (Design and Performance Evaluation of Spring-viscous Damper for Torsional Vibration)

  • Design routines of a torsional spring-viscous damper for a 1800 kW four cycle diesel engine-generator system are described. Modal techniques for system normalization and optimal equations for damper design are used to obtain proper design parameters of the damper. A prototype damper is manufactured according to the described design process and its two design parameters, stiffness and damping, are evaluated experimentally by torsional actuator test and free decay test. Experimentally obtained values of stiffness and damping coefficients showed good agreements with the designed values of the prototype damper.

Development of wind tunnel test model of mid-rise base-isolated building

  • This paper describes a method for developing a multi-degree-of freedom aero-elasto-plastic model of a base-isolated mid-rise building. The horizontal stiffness of isolators is modeled by several tension springs and the vertical support is performed by air pressure from a compressor. A lead damper and a steel damper are modeled by a U-shaped lead line and an aluminum line. With this model, the frequency ratio of torsional vibration to sway vibration, and plastic displacements of isolation materials can be changed easily when needed. The results of isolation material tests and free vibration tests show that this model provides the object performance. The peak displacement factors are about 4.5 regardless of wind speed in wind tunnel tests, but their gust response factor decreases with increment of wind speed.

  • The mechanism of wind-induced ovalling vibrations of cylindrical shells is numerically investigated by using a vortex method. The subject of this paper is limited to a two-dimensional structure in the subcritical regime. The aerodynamic stability of the ovalling vibrations in the second to fourth circumferential modes is discussed, based on the results of a forced-vibration test. In the analysis, two modal configurations are considered; one is symmetric and the other is anti-symmetric with respect to a diameter parallel to the flow direction. The unsteady pressures acting on a vibrating cylinder are simulated and the work done by them for one cycle of a harmonic motion is computed. The effects of a splitter plate on the flow around the cylinder as well as on the aerodynamic stability of the ovalling vibrations are also discussed. The consideration on the mechanism of ovalling vibrations is verified by the results of a free-vibration test.

서해대교 사장교의 동특성 추출 : II. 고유진동수와 감쇠비 (Modal Parameter Extraction of Seohae Cable-stayed Bridge : II. Natural Frequency and Damping Ratio)

  • 본 논문은 상시진동데이터로부터 구조물의 고유진동수 및 감쇠비를 추정하는 기법을 소개한다. 제안된 기법은 TDD기법에서 추출된 모드형상과 상호상관신호로부터 직교 잡음이 제거된 자유진동함수를 추출하고 시스템 인식기술을 적용하여서 각 모드별 고유진동수와 감쇠비를 추정한다. 제안 알고리즘의 정확도는 수치적으로 기존의 기법과 비교분석 되었다. 제안 알고리즘의 현장 적용성 검토는 서해대교 보강형의 수직방향 가속도에 대한 상시진동데이터를 통하여 검증되었으며, 총 24개의 저차모드가 추출되었다.

  • To perform condition monitoring of P.C. Box girder bridge under ambient traffic, dynamic characteristics were identified using the results of load test an analysis. It was found that natural frequencies obtained from the measured acceleration data for the forced vibration part and free vibration part were nearly identical. Thus it can be concluded that dynamic parameters are properly determined under ambient traffic condition. Finite element model for analysis was calibrated using measured frequencies. Change of dynamic characteristics were predicted through analysis of the established finite element model with anticipated change.

무소음.무진동 공법을 위한 환경친화적인 스크류콘크리트말뚝의 시공방법에 따른 연직하중지지거동 분석 (An Analysis on the Vertical Load Bearing Behavior according to Construction Methods of a Environment-friendly Screw Concrete Pile for the Noise and Vibration-free Method)

  • 국내의 소음 진동규제는 점점 더 강화되고 있어 도심지 근접시공을 위해 현재의 저소음 저진동 공법보다 더욱 환경친화적인 공법이 필요하게 되었다. 이 연구에서는 무소음 무진동 공법을 위한 스크류콘크리트말뚝공법의 특징에 대하여 설명하였으며 국내 특정 현장에서 시험시공을 실시하고 말뚝재하시험을 실시하여 시공방법에 따른 연직하중 지지능력을 연구하였다. 선행굴착방식으로 시공된 스크류콘크리트말뚝의 연직압축지지력이 선단분출형슈방식으로 시공된 스크류콘크리트말뚝의 그것보다 70% 이상 크게 나타났다.
