  • At the long period of time, Many powerful countries are going to prepare on building Future Combat System(FCS). R.O.K. Army also have to prepare for Future Combat on the line of Military Transformation. First, This paper presents the reason for building R.O.K. Army FCS. Second, R.O.K. Army could get good use of Master Plan frame for FCS enterprise as apply to this paper that FCS consist on an individual combat system for the priority of determination by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)

  • In this paper, a new neural networks and neural network based sliding mode controller are proposed. The new neural networks are an mor self-recurrent neural networks which use a recursive least squares method for the fast on-line leammg. The error self-recurrent neural networks converge considerably last than the back-prollagation algorithm and have advantage oi bemg less affected by the poor initial weights and learning rate. The controller for suspension system is designed according to sliding mode technique based on new proposed neural networks. In order to adapt shding mode control mnethod, each frame dstance hetween ground and vehcle body is estimated md controller is designed according to estimated neural model. The neural networks based sliding mode controller approves good peiformance throllgh computer sirnulations.

  • In this paper, a cost-effective integrated 3D system for measuring and sizing foot is proposed. The proposed system employs two CCDs and a laser line projector which are capable of accurately measuring foot. The measurement is based upon the biologically motivated stereo vision principle providing ruggedness against minor system distortions. According to the tolerance, calibration between two different views are implicitly applied. Furthermore, the measurement system employs a measurement base, a frame grabber, a CCD moving cart, a stepping motor and computer. Analysis and design procedure is presented for the calculation of the 3D foot data and the proposed system. Experimental results on the proposed system would verify the concept and system operation.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a new row signal modulation method in order to display multi-gray image using super-twisted nematic liquid crystal display (STN-LCD), which has no complex computation, high selection ratio, and low driving voltage. By the proposed method, we have implemented a 320*240, 8-gray video-rate STN-LCD. For achieving a video-rate STN-LCD, 6 lines are selected at a time. Each row line is selected 8 times by equally distributed pulses throughout one frame. As a result, we can get 8 gray, video-rate image. The repetive horizontal pattern and the filckering was analyzed and the improvements have been presented.

  • By using the RAPHAEL 3D inductance calculation program RI3, the PGA package inductance values of INTEL i486 microprocessor have been extracted. The lead frame layouts are drawn using the mentor Boardstation and the output files are converted into the RI3 program input format of RAPHAEL. The power and ground planes of the PGA package are modeled y grid-line structures of single bars. The capacitance valuse of signal lines have been clalculated by using the RAPHAEL 2D/3D capacitance extraction program. The extraced L, C, R values have been converted into the SPICE netlist formats with lumped circuit model for future use in the signal ingegrity analysis.

  • In this paper, several optimizations are proposed to enhance the quality of lane detection algorithms in automotive applications. Considering the diagonal directions of lanes, the proposed limited Hough transform newly introduces image-splitting and angle-limiting schemes that relax the number of possible angles at the line voting process. In addition, unnecessary edges along the horizontal and vertical directions are pre-defined and removed during the edge detection procedures, increasing the detecting accuracy remarkably. Simulation results shows that the proposed lane recognition algorithm achieves an accuracy of more than 90% and a computing speed of 92 frame/sec, which are superior to the results from the previous algorithms.

  • Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panel using the charge-pump (CP) pixel addressing scheme was fabricated, and the results show that it is applicable for information display. A CP-OLED panel with 64 ${\times}$ 64 pixels consisting of thin-film capacitors and amorphous silicon Schottky diodes was fabricated using conventional thin-film processes. The pixel drive circuit passes electrical current into the OLED cell during most of the frame period as in the thin-film transistor (TFT)-based active-matrix (AM) OLED displays. In this study, the panel was operated at a voltage level of below 4 V, and this operation voltage can be reduced by eliminating the overlap capacitance between the column bus line and the common electrode.

Recognition and classification of dimension set for automatic input of mechanical drawings (기계 도면의 자동 입력을 위한 치수 집합의 인식 및 분류)

  • This paper presents a method that automatically recognizes dimension sets from the mechanical drawings, and that classifies 6 types dimension sets according to functional purpose. In the proposed method, the object and closed-loop symbols are separated from the character-free drawings. Then object lines and interpretation lines are vectorized. And, after recognizing dimension sets(consistings of arrowhead, shape line, tail lines, extension lines, text-string, and feature control frame), we classify recognized dimension sets as horizontal, vertical, angular, diametral, radial, and leader dimension sets. Finally the proposed method converts classified dimension sets into AutoCAD data by using AutoLisp language. By using the methods of geometric modeling, the proposed method readily recognized and classifies dimension sets from complex drawings. Experimetnal results are presented, which are obtained by applying the proposed method to drawings drawn in compliance with the KS drafting standard.

  • This paper proposes a combined controller frame of the adaptive robust control(ARC) and the sliding mode control(SMC) for the trajectory tracking control of the excavator to preserve the advantages of the both methods while overcoming their drawbacks, namely, asymptotic stability of adaptive system fir parametric uncertainties and guaranteed transient performance of sliding mode control for both parametric uncertainties and external disturbance. The suggested control technique is applied for the tracking of a straight-line motion of end-effector of manipulators, and through computer simulations, its trajectory tracking performances and the robustness to payload variation and uncertainties are illustrated.

  • In general there are many degrees of freedom(DOFs) in industrial robots. So they have many poses of several special end-effectors positions and orientations. For that reason, industrial robots are used in a wide scope of industrial applica-tions such as welding, spray painting, deburring, and so on. In this research, an off-line continuous path planning method based on linear interpolation with parabolic blend is developed. The method safely maintains the constant orientation for base frame and end-effectors path within allowable error and minimizes the number of segments in path. This algorithm may apply to welding and painting in which the orientation is particularly significant. The simulation study of cartesian curve is carried out to show the performance of this algorithm.
