T-DMB 프레임 분석 시뮬레이터 개발 및 교육활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of T-DMB Frame Analysis Simulator and its Utilization in Education)

  • T-DMB는 유럽의 Eureka-147 DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) 표준을 바탕으로 멀티미디어 방송이 가능하도록 표준을 추가하여 만든 서비스로 이동 중에 동영상 시청, 고품질오디오 청취, 교통정보서비스(TPEG) 등의 서비스를 제공하고 있다. T-DMB 전송 프레임은 SC 채널, FIC 채널, MSC 채널로 구성된다. 비디오, 오디오, 데이터와 같은 서비스는 MSC 채널에서 서브채널 형태로 전송되며 FIC 채널은 각 서비스와 서브채널에 관련된 정보를 전달한다. 본 연구에서는 학부, 대학원 및 교육원들에서 교육되고 있는 지상파 DMB (T-DMB) 시스템과 관련하여 T-DMB 수신기에서 수신한 T-DMB 전송 프레임을 PC로 전달하여 PC 상에서 수신된 T-DMB 전송 프레임을 분석하고 비쥬얼하게 나타내어 줌으로 T-DMB 시스템의 이해를 돕고 학습동기를 유발할 수 있도록 T-DMB 전송 프레임 분석 시뮬레이터를 C++를 이용하여 개발하고 이를 실험하였다.

Detailed Finite Element Analysis of Full-scale Four-story Steel Frame Structure subjected to Consecutive Ground Motions

  • Detailed finite element (FE) analyses of a full-scale four-story steel frame structure, subjected to consecutive 60% and 100% excitations from the JR Takatori records during the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu earthquake, are conducted using E-Simulator. The four-story frame was tested at the largest shake-table facility in the world, E-Defense, in 2007. E-Simulator is a parallel FE analysis software package developed to accurately simulate structural behavior up to collapse by using a fine mesh of solid elements. To reduce computational time in consecutive dynamic time history analyses, static analysis with gravity force is introduced to terminate the vibration of the structure during the analysis of 60% excitation. An overall sway mechanism when subjected to 60% excitation and a story mechanism resulting from local buckling of the first-story columns when subjected to 100% excitation are simulated by using E-Simulator. The story drift response to the consecutive 60% and 100% excitations is slightly smaller than that for the single 100% excitation.

가상현실 기반의 차량 시뮬레이터의 현실감 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving the Reality of the Vehicle Simulator Based on the Virtual Reality)

  • In these days, a vehicle simulator has been developed with a VR(Virtual Reality) system. A VR system must provide a vehicle simulator with natural interaction, sufficient immersion and realistic images. In addition, a VR system must present a driver with the realistic driving situation. To achieve these, it is important to obtain a fast and uniform rendering performance regardless of the complexity of virtual worlds. In this paper, the factors to improve the reality for the VR based vehicle simulator have been investigated. For the purpose, the modeling and the rendering methods which offer an improved performance for complex VR applications as the 3D road model have been implemented and verified. Then, we experiment on the influence of graphic and sound factors to the driver, and analyze each result for improving the reality such as the driver's viewport, the form of texture, the lateral distance of the side object, and the sound effect. These factors are evaluated on the driving system which is constructed for qualitative analysis. The research results could be used for improving the reality of the VR based vehicle simulator.

  • Today, effective utilization of sophisticated networks greatly influences the activities of a business, making performance evaluations of computer network systems a necessity, We have developed a special computer network simulator capable of automatically generating a model based on data accumulated by a network analyzer to guide the user in selecting ideal parameters. The simulator was developed to provide user-friendly analysis for engineers involved in the actual network design. This paper gives an overview of the simulator and describes an example application of evaluating a network design that anticipates the future increase in traffic for a company introducing voice over frame relay (VoFR) into a wide area network (WAW).

병렬형 모션 시뮬레이터의 기구학적 해석과 강인 궤적추종 PID 제어기의 설계 (Kinematics and Robust PID Trajectory Tracking Control of Parallel Motion Simulator)

  • This article suggests an inverse kinematics analysis of a two degree of freedom spatial parallel motion simulator and design methodology of the robust PID controller. The parallel motion simulator consists of a fixed base and a moving frame connected by two serial chains, with each serial chain containing one revolute joint and two passive spherical joint. First, an inverse kinematics problems are solved in order to find the joint variable necessary to bring the end effector to track the desired trajectory. Second, an inverse optimal PID controller is proposed to track trajectories in the face of uncertainty. And the $H_{\infty}$ optimality and robust stability of the closed-loop system is acquired through the PID controller. Finally numerical results show the effectiveness of the PID controller that is designed by square/linear tuning laws.

  • 농용 트랙터는 일반적인 도로 주행이 아닌 논 또는 밭과 같은 험지에서 작업용으로 사용한다. 때문에 정적 하중 뿐만 아니라 동적 하중이 고려된 구조 해석이 진행되어야 한다. 하지만 동적 입력 하중을 계산하기 위해서는 다양한 작업기와 하중조건을 모사해야 하기에 실제 측정에 많은 시간과 노력이 소요된다. 이러한 노력들을 줄이기 위해서 본 연구에서는 상용 자동차와 동일하게 농용 트랙터를 위한 4 축 도로하중 시뮬레이터(4-Post Road Simulator) 모델을 개발하였다. 입력하중을 검증하기 위해 사내 험로 시험장에서 차축의 가속도 값과 바디프레임의 변형률(strain)을 측정하였다. 가속도 값은 동역학 모델의 입력 하중으로 사용하고 모드 중첩 법을 포함한 동역학 해석을 수행하여 변형률을 검증하였다. 이를 통해 험로 프로파일과 유사한 거동을 나타내는 4 축 도로하중을 구할 수 있었으며 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

A Study on a Risk Assessment Method and Building Simulation for the Development of a Korean Integrated Disaster Evaluation Simulator (K-IDES) for High-rise Buildings

  • The purpose of this study is to establish a method for assessing a building's risk against disaster, tentatively named the Korean integrated disaster evaluation simulator (K-IDES). Based on previous studies, FEMA's risk management series and FEMA IRVS are selected as case studies for developing a frame work of K-IDES, through the comparative analysis of domestic building design guides, codes, and special acts related to disasters, in order to develop a risk assessment methodology for quantitative results. The assessment method consists of a classification system and calculating risk, and a simulation applying the developed checklist in K-IDES to similar types of high-rise buildings will be conducted to validate its accuracy. The final goal is to systemize an integrated risk management in a high-rise building against disasters for the purpose of recognizing vulnerable areas from the beginning of the design process and reinforcing it from potential threats after construction.

Integrated fire dynamic and thermomechanical modeling of a bridge under fire

  • This paper proposes a nonlinear computational modeling approach for the behaviors of structural systems subjected to fire. The proposed modeling approach consists of fire dynamics analysis, nonlinear transient-heat transfer analysis for predicting thermal distributions, and thermomechanical analysis for structural behaviors. For concretes, transient heat formulations are written considering temperature dependent heat conduction and specific heat capacity and included within the thermomechanical analyses. Also, temperature dependent stress-strain behaviors including compression hardening and tension softening effects are implemented within the analyses. The proposed modeling technique for transient heat and thermomechanical analyses is first validated with experimental data of reinforced concrete (RC) beams subjected to high temperatures, and then applied to a bridge model. The bridge model is generated to simulate the fire incident occurred by a gas truck on April 29, 2007 in Oakland California, USA. From the simulation, not only temperature distributions and deformations of the bridge can be found, but critical locations and time frame where collapse occurs can be predicted. The analytical results from the simulation are qualitatively compared with the real incident and show good agreements.

  • In this paper, we study the electrical characteristics evaluation of PV module caused by mechanical stress. By observing the easy separation between glass and frame of module, we give static force on surface of PV module. Through this experiment, parallel resistance changes by varying loading stress. Also the maximum power reduction ratio is measured using class A solar simulator. The specific analysis is shown in the following paper.

  • 본 연구에서는 LTE-R을 기반으로 하는 철도통신에서 응용서비스로서 스트리밍 오디오의 전송성능을 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 성능분석은 NS(Network Simulator)-3에 기반한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 사용하여 수행하며, 분석대상 응용서비스로는 MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group)-4의 오디오 프레임을 사용한다. 본 연구의 결과는 LTE-R 네트워크 구축뿐 아니라 LTE-R 네트워크를 대상으로 하는 응용서비스 개발의 기초자료로 활용이 가능하다.
