  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 점진균열법을 개량하여 원판의 잔류응력 분포를 측정하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제시하였으며 이것의 타당성을 입증하기 위한 유한요소 해석(finite element analysis)과 실험을 수행하였다.

  • When workability at the a certain bulk deformation process is defined as the maximum plastic deformation capability that the workpiece can sustain without causing any cracks or fracture, the workability is dependent on the microstructure, initial workpiece shape, stress state developed during the deformation process, strain rata and presence of the interfacial friction between workpiece and tool. For a review purpose, the workability definition and test methods are summarized depending on the applied stress state at bulk deformation process in Table 1 at the text. In this study, the cold workabilities of as-cast A16061 bulk material have been measured and comparatively analyzed at the primary tensile stress state by using tensile specimens, the primary compressive stress state by using cylindrical specimens, and the forming limit diagram by ductile fracture.

이중보온관 부식감지선의 응력부식파괴에 관한 연구 (A study on Stress Corrosion Cracking of Sensor Wire in Thermally Insulated Underground Pipeline)

  • The thermally insulated underground pipelines have been used for district heating system. The sensor wire embedded in the insulation was used for monitoring the insulating resistance between the sensor wire and the pipe. The resistance measurement system detects corrosion of steel pipe under insulation. The corrosion and stress corrosion cracking(SCC) characteristics of sensor wire in synthetic ground water were investigated using the electrochemical methods and constant load SCC tests. The polarization tests were used to study the electrochemical behavior of sensor wire. The sensor wire was passivated at temperatures ranging from 25 to $95^{\circ}C$. However, the applied sensing current larger than passive current resulted in breakdown of passive film. The constant load SCC tests were performed to investigate the effects of applied current and load on the fracture behavior. Stress-corrosion cracks initiated at pits that were produced by sensing current. The growth of the pit involves a tunnelling mechanism, which leads to ductile fracture.

  • This paper provides two types of engineering J estimation equations for cylinders with finite internal axial surface cracks under internal pressure. The first type is the so-called GE/EPRI type J estimation equation based on Ramberg-Osgood materials. Based on detailed 3-D FE results the GE/EPRI-type J estimation equation along the crack front is proposed and validated for Ramberg-Osgood materials. For more general application, the developed GE/EPRI-type solutions are then re-formulated based on the reference stress concept. The proposed reference stress based J estimation equation has good agreement between the FE results and the proposed reference stress based J estimation provides confidence in the use of the proposed method for elastic-plastic fracture mechanics of pressurised piping

  • 본 논문에서는 편심 경사진 균열을 가진 판이 순수굽힘을 받는 경우에 등각사 상함수를 발견하고 등각사상법에 의한 복소응력함수를 사용하여 응력확대계수의 근사 이론식을 구하고 광탄성 실험을 통하여 비교 고찰하였다.

J파라미터를 이용한 고온피로균열전파 거동에 미치는 응력파형 영향의 연구 (A Study of the Effect of Stress Waveform on the Behavior of High Temp. Fatigue Crack Propagation Using J Parameters)

  • The fatigue crack propagation tests were performed in triangular and holding-time stress waveforms at $650^{\circ}C$. The behavior of fatigue crack propagation was investigated according to waveform. The analysis of high temperature fatigue crack propagation by the stress intensity factor range ${\Delta}K$, elastic fracture mechanics parameter, was not available. The behaviors of high temperature fatigue crack propagation by the J-integral(${\Delta}J_f$, J' and ${\Delta}J_c$), elasto-plastic fracture mechanics parameter, were investigated in a number of stress waveforms. The fast-fast waveform exhibited cycle-dependent(fatigue type), the slow-fast and the hold time with 500sec waveforms appear to be time-dependent(creep type) and the fast-slow and the hold time with 5, 25sec waveforms exhibited conbined behavior of both types(fatigue-creep conbined type).

  • The analysis model is the infinite power law creep material containing the rigid inclusion with crack shape. The present analysis is performed using the complex pseudo-stress function method. The strain rate intensity factor is developed as new fracture mechanics parameter which represents the stress and strain rate distribution near a crack tip in power law creep material. The strain rate intensity factor is developed in terms of Kolosoff stress functions.

  • Microstructures and mechanical properties of variously heat treated 0.85% carbon steel(eutectoid steel) were evaluated by magnetic property measurements. Microstructural analysis (pearlite interstellar spacing), measurement of mechanical properties(Rockwell hardness, yield stress, fracture stress) and magnetic properties(coercivity, remanence, hysteresis loss, saturation magnetization) were performed to clarify mutual relationships among these parameters. Water quenched specimens with martensite structure showed much higher coercivity and remanence than air cooled or furnace cooled specimens with pearlite structure. The linear dependence of coercivity and remanence on pearlite interlamellar spacing as well as on Rockwell hardness, yield stress and fracture stress was observed in the pearlitic steel. Hysteresis loss and saturation magnetization showed no distinct trend with pearlite interlamellar spacing.

  • 본 연구에서는 ASTM-E24.01.06에서 제안하고 있는 실험방법을 응용하여 균열 정지 파괴인성값을 측정하였다.즉 쐐기와 분리형 부싱(wedge and split bushing)으 로 압축하중을 가함으로 균열선 웨지하중 시편[crack line wedge loaded specimen(CL- WL시편)]에 인장력을 발생시켜서 균열정지 응력확대계수( $K_{1a}$)를 결정하였다. 그리고 균열개시 응력확대계수가 균열정지 응력확대계수에 미치는 영향들을 여러가지 재료들에 대하여 체계적으로 검토하였다.다.

Determination of Double-K Fracture Parameters of Concrete Using Split-Tension Cube: A Revised Procedure

  • This paper presents a revised procedure for computation of double-K fracture parameters of concrete split-tension cube specimen using weight function of the centrally cracked plate of finite strip with a finite width. This is an improvement over the previous work of the authors in which the determination of double-K fracture parameters of concrete for split-tension cube test using weight function of the centrally cracked plate of infinite strip with a finite width was presented. In a recent research, it was pointed out that there are great differences between a finite strip and an infinite strip regarding their weight function and the solution of infinite strip can be utilized in the split-tension specimens when the notch size is very small. In the present work, improved version of LEFM formulas for stress intensity factor, crack mouth opening displacement and crack opening displacement profile presented in the recent research work are incorporated. The results of the double-K fracture parameters obtained using revised procedure and the previous work of the authors is compared. The double-K fracture parameters of split-tension cube specimen are also compared with those obtained for standard three point bend test specimen. The input data required for determining double-K fracture parameters for both the specimen geometries for laboratory size specimens are obtained using well known version of the Fictitious Crack Model.
