  • Objectives : Six command points are individual points that have strong and broad effects on their related part of the body, but there is a controversy about which acupoints are should be included in the six command points. This research was reviewed which acupoints are suitable for the construction of the six command points. Methods : We searched acupoints mentioned six command points in literatures, then investigated the effects of the acupoints to identify that they can be included in the six command points. And we deliberated which acupoints are suitable for the six command points. Results : Acupoints mentioned the six command points are LU7, LI4, ST36, BL40, PC6, TE6, GV26, ouch point, GB34 and SP6. Among the acupoints, LU7, LI4, ST36, BL40 and PC6 was included in the six command points in all of searched literatures. And GV26, ouch point, GB34 and SP6 were excluded because GV26 and ouch point were not fit the definition of the six command points, ST36 can be an alternative to SP6 based on their effects, and GB34 has a similar but little effect compared to TE6. Conclusions : Based on the definition of six command points and the effect of the acupoints, we suggest that the six command points should be composed of LU7, LI4, ST36, BL40, PC6 and TE6.

  • Objectives : The aim of the study is to analyze various studies subjected to sachonghyeol (SCH; Four command points) including ST36, BL40, LU7, LI4 in Korean literature. Methods : To analyze the results of SCH studies, The search was made through OASIS database. The search terms used were "ST36 OR BL40 OR LU7 OR LI4". Of 147 papers, 2 irrelevant papers were excluded and finally 145 papers were analyzed. Results : Thirty two studies were associated with pain control in various conditions using SCH. The pain control study of SCH covered 22 % of total studies. The next study topic was digestive function of SCH. Conclusion : To expand the clinical usage of SCH, the studies based on regulating function of SCH on ascending and descending ki, and coming in and out of ki are required to be performed in the future.

  • Objectives: In order to select proper acupoints, it is important to understand the principle of major acupoints composition among 361 acupoints. Methods: We investigated the composition of major acupoints from Four Command points to Star Twelve points based on the classical medical texts. We reviewed the common principle of major acupoints composition. Results: First, major acupoints are chosen to treat the targeted diseases associated with the corresponding meridian channels and these acupoints are located in distal part of the body below the knee and the elbow. Second, main acupoints are supposed to be the representative points among acupoints with similar indications. Main acupoints can be selectively to treat a specific disease or condition, rather than be used for general effect simultaneously. Conclusions: We demonstrated the major acupoints from classical medical texts and revealed the common principles of major acupoints composition. These findings can help Korean medical doctors to choose more appropriate acupoints by understanding the principle of major acupoints composition.

  • In mold and die shops, NC machining process mainly affects the quality of the machined surface and the manufacturing time of molds and dies. The estimation of NC machining time is a prerequisite to measure the machining productivity and to generate a process schedule, which generally includes the process sequence and the completion time of each process. It is required to take into account dynamic characteristics in the estimation, such as the ac/deceleration of NC machine controllers. Intensive observations at start and end points of NC blocks show that a minimum feedrate, a key variable in a machining time model, has a close relation to a block distance, an angle between blocks, and a command feedrate. Thus, this study addresses regression models for the minimum feedrate estimation on short and long NC blocks considering these parameters. Furthermore, machining time estimation models by the four types of feedrate behaviors are suggested based on the estimated minimum feedrate. To show the validity of the proposed machining time model, the study compares the estimated with the actual machining time in the sculptured surface machining of several mold dies.

  • Major deficiencies of current automation scheme including various robots for bioproduction include the lack of task adaptability and real time processing, low job performance for diverse tasks, and the lack of robustness of take results, high system cost, failure of the credit from the operator, and so on. This paper proposed a scheme that could solve the current limitation of task abilities of conventional computer controlled automatic system. The proposed scheme is the man-machine hybrid automation via tele-operation which can handle various bioproduction processes. And it was classified into two categories. One category was the efficient task sharing between operator and CCM(computer controlled machine). The other was the efficient interface between operator and CCM. To realize the proposed concept, task of the object identification and extraction of 3D coordinate of an object was selected. 3D coordinate information was obtained from camera calibration using camera as a measurement device. Two stereo images were obtained by moving a camera certain distance in horizontal direction normal to focal axis and by acquiring two images at different locations. Transformation matrix for camera calibration was obtained via least square error approach using specified 6 known pairs of data points in 2D image and 3D world space. 3D world coordinate was obtained from two sets of image pixel coordinates of both camera images with calibrated transformation matrix. As an interface system between operator and CCM, a touch pad screen mounted on the monitor and remotely captured imaging system were used. Object indication was done by the operator’s finger touch to the captured image using the touch pad screen. A certain size of local image processing area was specified after the touch was made. And image processing was performed with the specified local area to extract desired features of the object. An MS Windows based interface software was developed using Visual C++6.0. The software was developed with four modules such as remote image acquisiton module, task command module, local image processing module and 3D coordinate extraction module. Proposed scheme shoed the feasibility of real time processing, robust and precise object identification, and adaptability of various job and environments though selected sample tasks.

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze TOEIC scores of two kinds of courses opened at a university and the distribution of TOEIC scores of two groups. In addition, this paper will examine the ability of participants and the used instructional materials and equipment. The university has two kinds of TOEIC courses; one is a four-week intensive course opened in summer and winter vacations, where students participate in the classes from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The other is a regular TOEIC course, offering one-hour class every day from Monday to Friday during the university semester (15 weeks). This paper points out how important, the EFL/ESL teacher education, teaching materials, teaching methods and e-learning in operating more effective classes. The intensive TOEIC course and the regular TOEIC course include 120 hours and 75 hours a semester, respectively. Unfortunately, both courses have such a limited amount of time that students cannot achieve their fluent and perfect command of English. For Korean student to master English in a limited amount of both time and resources, the development of effective and qualitative EFL/ESL Intensive courses is essential.

  • To develop a crisis management for aviation safety, this study has defined crisis management includes risk management which is eliminates or lowers risks prior to accidents and emergency response after the accidents. This study takes a look at different kinds of crisis managements, risk managements and statistical methods of other nations and fields in order to develop a risk management model. Through surveys which have 102 risk factors that include air traffic control, maintenance and airport sectors, the weight of each risk factor was calculated and the probability was divided to develop a model for risk management. The risk management model of this study is conducted using four steps (risk management plan, risk factor identification, weight and probability analysis, decision making) and 4 standards of weight along with 5 standards of probability This study takes a look at Predictions through a quantitative method using a risk index for the risk management model An effective risk management model should have a wide and continuous collection of data and adopt various methods using this model. The crisis management could not be very effective only using a pre-active risk management. So it should also be conducted by using a pro-active response system to protect additional damage and to prevent accidents of the same nature. From the results, the most important points were the establishment of command and control accountabilities, and cooperation of related organizations.
