  • This study is an investigation for the ADS optimum design by using FEA. We write out program which express ADS perfectly and reduce the required time for correcting of model to the minimum in solution and manufacture result. We complete algorithm which can plan optimum forming of model by feedback error information in CAE. Then we correct model by feedback date obtaining in solution process, repeat course following stress solution again and do modeling rachet wheel for optimum forming. That is our aim. In rachet wheel, greatest equivalence stress originates in key groove corner and KS standard is proved the design for security.

  • Since the traditional designing approach of forming processes is based on trial and error it consumes much time and needs cost to design successful processes. Today for higher marketability of products a manufacturing system is required that can reduce production time and enhance product properties greatly. In order to implement the system a computerized design-supporting tool is indispensable for the design and supply of optimized production process for high product quality in short time In this study a design supporting system is developed and implemented to ballstud die. Using the developed system the designer can rapidly produce layouts of dies for each process sequences with consistency.

  • In the two-dimensional Finite Element Method for forming simulation, mesh generation and remeshing process are very significant. In this paper, using the modified splitting mesh generation algorithm, we can overcome the limitation of existing techniques and acquire mesh, which has optimal mesh density. A modified splitting algorithm for automatically generating quadrilateral mesh within a complex domain is described. Unnecessary meshing process for density representation is removed. Especially, during the mesh generation with high gradient density like as shear band representation, the modified mesh density scheme, which will generate quadrilateral mesh with the minimized error, which takes effect on FEM solver, is introduced.

  • In order to improve the productivity of cold forging at low production cost, an integrated system's approach is necessary in handling the material preparation and the optimum process design, considering the forming machines, tooling, and operation including quality control. As the first step toward this approach, an expert system for multi-stage cold forging process design for fasteners with various head geometries is developed using Prolog language on IBM 486 PC. For effective representation of the complex part geometries, the system uses the multiple element input, and the forward inference scheme in determination of the initial billet size and intermediate forging steps. In order to determine intermediate steps, the basic empirical rules for extrusion, heading, and trimming were applied. The required forming loads and global strain distributions at each forging step were calculated and displayed on the PC monitor. The designed process sequence drawing can be obtained by AutoCAD. The developed system will be useful in reducing trial and error of design engineers in determining the diameter and height of the initial cylindrical billet from the final product geometry and the intermediate necessary sequences.

  • In order to investigate the residual stress evolution during the leveling process of hot rolled high strength coils for cold forming, the in-plane residual stress of plate sampled at SPM, rough leveler and finish leveler were measured by cutting method. Residual stress was localized near the edge of plate. As the thickness of plate was increased, the region with residual stress was expanded. The gradient of residual stress within plate was reduced during the leveling process. But the residual stress itself was not removed at the ranges of tested conditions. From the measured residual stress distribution within the plate, camber of plate cut to small width was predicted exactly within error range of experiment.

  • 무선채널에서는 다중경로성분으로 인하여 간섭성분이 존재한다. 이러한 간섭성분을 제거하는 적응 배열 안테나는 간섭신호에 대해서는 영점을 형성하고 표적신호에 대해서는 이득을 최대화시킨다. 표적신호와 상관도가 있는 코히런트 간섭신호가 입사된다면 배열출력에서 표적신호까지 제거시키는 문제점이 있다. 그리고, 적응배열안테나는 지향오차에 민감한 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 코히런트간섭에 대한지향오차를 해결하기 위한 기존 알고리즘을 각각 소개하고 그 문제점을 분석하여 자유도의 손실을 최소화면서 코히런트 간섭과 지향오차를 감소시키는 빔 형성 기법을 제안하였다.

  • This paper provides an integrated view on human and system interaction in advanced and automated systems, which adopting computerized multi-functional artifacts and complicated organizations, such as nuclear power plants, chemical plants, steel and semi-conduct manufacturing system. As current systems have advanced with various automated equipments but human operators from various organizations are involved in the systems, system safety still remains uncertain. Especially, a human operator plays an important role at the time of critical conditions that can lead to catastrophic accidents. The knowledge on human error helps a risk manager as well as a designer to create and control a more credible system. Several human error theories were reviewed and adopted for forming the integrated perspective: gulf of execution and evaluation; risk homeostasis; the ironies of automation; trust in automation; design affordance; distributed cognition; situation awareness; and plan delegation theory. The integrated perspective embraces human error theories within three levels of human-system interactions such as affordance level, psychological logic level and trust level. This paper argued that risk management process should dealt with human errors by providing (1) reasoning improvement; (2) support to situation awareness of operators; and (3) continuous monitoring on harmonization of human system interaction. This approach may help people to understand risk of human-system interaction failure characteristics and their countermeasures.

2차원 박판성형공정 해석을 위한 강소성 외연적 유한요소 수식화 (Rigid-Plastic Explicit Finite Element Formulation for Two-Dimensional Analysis of Sheet Metal Forming Processes)

  • The explicit scheme for finite element analysis of sheet metal forming problems has been widely used for providing practical solutions since it improves the convergency problem, memory size and computational time especially for the case of complicated geometry and large element number. The explicit schemes in general use are based on the elastic-plastic modeling of material requiring large computataion time. In the present work, a basic formulation for rigid-plastic explicit finite element analysis of plain strain sheet metal forming problems has been proposed. The effect of some basic parameters involved in the dynamic analysis has been studied in detail. Thus, the effective ranges of parameters have been proposed for numerical simultion by the rigid-plastic explicit finite element method. A direct trial-and-error method is introduced to treat contact and friction. In computation, sheet material is assumed to possess normal anisotropy and rigid-plastic workhardening characteristics. In order to show the validity and effectiveness of the proposed explicit scheme, computations are carried out for cylindrical punch stretching and the computational results are compared with those by the implicit scheme as well as with a commercial code. The proposed rigid-plastic exlicit finite element method can be used as a robust and efficient computational method for analysis of sheet metal forming.

쉴드 커넥터 스트립레이아웃 자동설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Automatic Strip Layout Design of Shield Connector)

  • 쉴드 커넥터는 자동차 전장부품으로 차량 내 전기 배선을 연결하는데 사용된다. 이 부품은 전기 전도도가 높은 인청동 재질을 사용하고 프로그레시브 프레스 성형으로 제작된다. 본 제품 형상의 기하학적인 측면을 고려했을 때 복잡하지 않지만, 드로잉, 밴딩 등의 소성가공과 피어싱, 노칭 등의 전단 가공을 실시하여 제품 성형을 완성해야 한다. 프로그레시브 금형을 설계하는 과정 중에 공정 및 스트립레이아웃 설계단계의 성형 해석 모듈을 활용하여 제품의 재질에 따른 두께 변화 및 성형 안전성, 스프링 백 (Spring Back) 검토를 수행하여, 균열 혹은 주름의 경향과 불완전 소성 변형에 대한 보정치를 예측 및 발생 가능한 문제들을 사전에 확인하고, 드로잉 공정 초기에 발생된 성형 불량에 대한 대책으로 드로잉 형상을 수정하여 공정 설계에 반영하였다. 공정설계에서 얻어진 제품의 블랭크 전개 형상은 효과적인 재료 이용을 위해 네스팅에 의한 최적화된 블랭크 배치로 재료의 손실을 최소화하여 3차원 스트립레이아웃 설계를 완성하였다. 본 연구를 통해 프로그레시브 성형을 통해 생산되는 쉴드커넥터 제품의 균열과 스프링백 현상을 사전에 개선하여 생산안정도를 향상시켰다.
