  • The current R&B system has a lot of problems caused by complexity of the system and lack of IDE concept among the related offices and organizations. IDE concept is building Integrated database with data which applied standards and digitalized. So R&D CALS system should be established for the related offices and organizations can use data which created during R&D life-cycle in IDE. In this paper, I suggested system requirements and system quality factors for building IDE based upon SSS form.

  • In order to satisfy the industrial requirements to measure the rotational error motion of main spindles and to find out the source of the error motion, some measuring systems were made. Their measuring principle are based on the 3-point roundness measurement. In these measuring systems, the measurements are processed by digital calculation technique and the form error and the rotational error motion of main spindles are spearated. In the present paper, the principle of 3-point metnod is introduced and some application examples are shown.

  • During the last decade, there has been much written and said about the use of personal computers in acoustics and vibrations, both for measurement and results processing. The advances in PCs have been nothing short of phenomenal, driven by the fast moving requirements of information technology in the office environment, and these benefits has filtered into our world of acoustics, in the form of more flexible measurement tools. • In recent years, the automotive industry has known a remarkable development in order to satisfy the customer requirements. In this paper, we will study one of the components of the automotive which is the twist beam. The study is focused on the multicriteria design of the automotive twist beam undergoing linear elastic deformation (Hooke's law). Indeed, for the design of this automotive part, there are some criteria to be considered as the rigidity (stiffness) and the resistance to fatigue. Those two criteria are known to be conflicting, therefore, our aim is to identify the Pareto front of this problem. To do this, we used a Normal Boundary Intersection (NBI) algorithm coupling with a radial basis function (RBF) metamodel in order to reduce the high calculation time needed for solving the multicriteria design problem. Otherwise, we used the free form deformation (FFD) technique for the generation of the 3D shapes of the automotive part studied during the optimization process.

  • To increase the productivity and efficiency of an enterprise, all relevant product information should be provided to shop floor workers timely and in a unified form because shop floor workers are final consumers of most accumulated information generated from various departments of an enterprise. but, most existing enterprise information systems have an emphasis upon providing design/manufacturing information to office workers. Proposed in this study is a development of integrated design/manufacturing information system focused system, the function required for shop floor activities. For developing integrated information system, the functional required for shop floor are identified and analyzed. Based on the extracted functional requirements, object-oriented system design and implementation is conducted. By using this system, shop floor workers can refer to all relevant information necessary to their work easily and in a integrated form.

  • The PTDRT model as prediction techniques for desalinization in reclaimed tidelands was developed and verified whether it is applicable to reclaimed tidelands at the beginning stage. The changes of salt concentration during desalinization, the water requirements and period required for desalinization, were simulated according to soil properties and desalinization methods by repression analyses. The program was also designed to systematize input data and analysis data associated with desalinization, and to confirm the results by a graphic form. All input data and the results can be printed after the form of a typical report.

  • Two reasons for the low success rate of the practical implementation of BPR are the lack of good models and consideration of information system development stage in a BPR project. This paper suggests an Integrated Business Process Model (IBPM), which incorporates two distinct but interrelated points of view: form and business process. By integrating the form model with the business process model, the IBPM has advantages in performing BPR projects; it helps to build the model, to analyze and redesign business processes, and to do requirement analysis of information systems. This paper also suggests a new BPR supporting tool, BRAWII(Business Reengineering Assistance Workbench version 2.0). BRAWIIsupports IBPM and manages full stages of BPR project. In the design of BRAWII, the linkage between results of a BPR project and requirements for information system development is considered.

  • This paper presents a systematic approach for estimating material performance of concrete mixture design based on satisfaction curves developed from statistical evaluation of existing or newly obtained material property related data. In performance based material design (PBMD) method, concrete material used for construction of a structure is designed considering a structure's specified performance requirements based on its usage and characteristics such as environmental conditions, structure types, expected design life, etc.Satisfaction curves express the probabilities that one component of substrates (i.e., aggregate size, cement content, etc) of concrete mixture will sustain different criterion value for a given concrete mixture design. This study presents a statistical analysis method for setting up concrete material parameter versus concrete criterion relationships in the form of satisfaction curves and for estimating confidence bounds on these satisfaction curves. This paper also presents an analysis method to combine multiple satisfaction curves to form one unique satisfaction curve that can relate the performance of concrete to a single evaluating value. Based on several evaluated mixture design examples for various material properties, the validity of the proposed method is discussed in detail.
