This study selected four institutions, namely the National Archives of Korea, the National Library of Korea, the National Institute of Korean History, and the Institute for Military History, that have collected the foreign records about Korea, providing web services for users. A total of 163,874 records were collected from these institutions to analyze the topics of the records, which resulted in a proposed topic map with 7 facets as top levels. This study suggests an integrated and visualized tool using a topic map to improve the searching service of foreign records about Korea from Korean institutions, especially the US records related to Korea.

Purpose: To compare and analyze current state of domestic and foreign educational program to develop a program and provide basic information for qualitative improvement of the program. Method: Referred to records and used various methods as searching on the Internet. Analyzing methods and standards are as follow : 1) As for the current status of domestic educational program, find out about organizations that conduct the program 2) As for the current status of foreign program, find out about United States, Canada and United Kingdom. 3) As for comparison and analysis, find out about curriculum, subject, the number of people, content, cost and time. Results: In comparison and analysis of subjects and program, United States, Canada and U. K. specified the subjects according to occupations to offer various programs appropriate for special occupational situations whereas domestic program only provide education of CPR and usage of AED. Foreign countries provide sufficient time from 5.5 to 40 hours according to occupations. In contrast, Korea only provide 2-4 hours of educations, which is insufficient to master techniques of first aid. In addition, foreign countries precisely regulate organizations that fulfill the qualification and specific guidelines for content of education. However, Korea doesn't have any standards of qualification or guidelines. Discussion: It is necessary to specify first aid education according to occupations to provide diverse programs. Furthermore, it is necessary to establish nationwide regulations for subjects and content of the programs of the first responder.

This study discusses the customer satisfaction as a result of the attributes of menu choice that can meet the needs of foreign visitors. Furthermore, it discusses the possibility that Korean food can be recognized internationally and the research data be available in advance for the people who are going to visit Korea. This study is based on documentary records and empirical studies to analyze and appreciate the effects of customer satisfaction in restaurants that foreigners usually visit. The documentary records are rooted in the related books, papers published in domestic and international associations, academic journals, and various periodicals. According to this research, the attributes of the menu choice in relation to the differences in their purposes has a meaningful influence on the customer satisfaction, so the menu choice of foreign tourists drives their gratification of Korean food. In short, the explanations and ingredients list about items in Korean restaurants need to be improved and explained to increase the number of potential foreign tourists.

With the quantitative growth of research data, the issue of enormous preservation cost and sharing expansion, the organizations should prioritize the collections then select the data that are worthy of save. Therefore, today, it is important for the organizations to appraise the continuing value of produced records. Considering the universities and the public institutions such as governmentfunded research institutes as the heavy producer of the data, it becomes a rising problem for the records management that it does not go beyond the framework of "administrative records" and "public records". In this study, I looked into the background of the contention that the research records must be managed in a different perspective and checked the characteristics of research records in therms of the producers, research activities and records. Based on this analysis, I suggested the main issues and considerations about the subjects, criterias and methods in research records appraisal.

The study presented attempts to analyze and categorize Chosun's food ingredients and culture through a Western perspective based on 32 representative Western documents pertaining to old Korea. Before modernization, Westerners visited Chosun during their visits to old China or Japan. Westerners were most active in Chosun from the open port period to the annexation of Korea to Japan occupation. They were teachers, missionaries, diplomats, and doctors visiting Chosun with personal goals. In 31 book traveler's journal, it records Chosen's mainly produced ingredients, such as grains, spices, fruits, cabbage, chicken, and chestnuts; foods from Chosen include kimchi, soup, and tofu. Foreigners especially liked foods made of eggs and chicken, but they did not enjoy Chosun's lack of sugar and dairy. Thirty-one book foreigners' records describe Chosun's Ondol, kitchen, crock, fermented foods, low dining tables, and chopsticks. Chosun people liked dog meat, unrestrained drinking culture, sungnyung, and tea culture. Foreign documentation on Chosun's food culture allows modern scholars to learn about Chosun people's lifestyles, as if their lives were a vivid picture.

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the formation process and spatial characteristics of the first and largest open port of Foreign Settlement in Yokohama, Japan. Based on the reference records and maps, we traced the process of modernization, example of opening the park and introduction of technology, industrial & infra-structural facilities. And found out the characteristics of formation process of port city Yokohama as the modernized city. The results of this study are as follows: First, the spatial characteristics and significance of the public space of the port open space; second, the difference of the road and parcel systems between the Japanese and the foreign settlements; and third, the meaning of the port open space as the space of separation in that times. These experiences about the open port in Yokohama could be worked as the basic for domestic and colonial city planning.

Traditionally, the concept of transfer is that physical records such as paper documents, videos, photos are made a delivery to Archives or Records centers on the basis of transfer guidelines. But, with the automation of records management environment and spreading new records creation and management applications, we can create records and manage them in the cyberspace. In these reasons, the existing transfer system is that we move filed records to Archives or Records centers by paper boxes, needs to be changed. Under the needing conditions of a new transfer paradigm, the fact that the revision of Records Act that include some provisions about electronic records management and transfer, is desirable and proper. Nevertheless, the electronic transfer provisions are too conceptional to apply records management practice, so we have to develop detailed methods and processes. In this context, this paper suggest that a electronic records transfer process model on the basis of international standard and foreign countries' cases. Doing transfer records is one of the records management courses to use valuable records in the future. So, both producer and archive have to transfer records itself and context information to long-term preservation repository according to the transfer guidelines. In the long run, transfer comes to be the conclusion that records are moved to archive by a formal transfer process with taking a proper records protection steps. To accomplish these purposes, I analyzed the 'OAIS Reference Model' and 'Producer-Archive Interface Methodology Abstract Standard-CCSDS Blue Book' which is made by CCSDS(Consultative committee for Space Data Systems). but from both the words of 'Reference Model' and 'Standard', we can understand that these standard are not suitable for applying business practice directly. To solve this problem, I also analyzed foreign countries' transfer cases. Through the analysis of theory and case, I suggest that an Electronic Records Transfer Process Model which is consist of five sub-process that are 'Ingest prepare ${\rightarrow}$ Ingest ${\rightarrow}$ Validation ${\rightarrow}$ Preservation ${\rightarrow}$ Archival storage' and each sub-process also have some transfer elements. Especially, to confirm the new process model's feasibility, after classifying two types - one is from Public Records center to Public Archive, the other is from Civil Records center to Public or Civil Archive - of Korean Transfer, I made the new Transfer Model applied to the two types of transfer cases.

In order to resolve a dispute over a medical accident, the court is in the process of appraising the medical records for medical professionals to report their medical expertise or judgments using that knowledge. The consequences of expert opinion about a medical accident are only one of the methods of evidence as a reference. Therefore, in principle, the court should not be bound to the results, but the court, which is not a medical expert, can not completely rule out medical expert opinion as to whether there is medical malpractice and causality. Therefore, it can not be denied that the proportion of expert opinion of medical records in the dispute about medical accidents is high and it has an important influence on the judgement of the court. In this paper, we examine the significance and function of expert opinion of the medical accident, examine the appraising procedure of the medical records in the court and the appraising procedure of the medical accidents of the Korean medical dispute mediation arbitrator do. In addition, I would like to examine what kind of attitude is being taken in response to expert opinion of medical records in Korea to court, to examine the implications of the case of Japan as a foreign system, and to suggest improvement points in the expert opinion procedure of medical record filing in Korea. In particular, I would like to suggest improvements on issues such as the fairness of the expert opinion of medical records and the delays in litigation due to delays in the process of expert opinion.

This study is about the Korean Jockey's uniform, etc. and horse riding costume as the traditional riding culture grows. I studied informations from the Korea Racing Association's equestrian park, equine museum and Seoul Racecourse Trainers & Jockey's Association. The international regulations of riding costume are compared with Korean regulations, and I consulted some reference books, materials of sports wear and catalogues of some brands regarding horse equipment. The contents includes ; 1. Analysis of informations about horse racing 2. Study of racing, for detail comparative analysis on the following aspects ; -Symbolism, riding costume of jockey, that is, color·pattern·and some formal designs. 3. Suggestion for reasonable and fashionable riding costumes. In the aspects of design, there have not been any historical records, and material adjustments about riding costume in Korea. Therefore we should make more efforts to do developing our traditional costume culture. The result o this study is as follows ; 1. Riding is the sport of etiquette and manners. 2. Most of riding wears are the casual wear centered foreign licenced brands. 3. Study and investment upon specialized material development and processing technology are in demand 4. The need of the consumers are to be satisfied by the quality improvement of the native products design. In addition, we perform to horse racing which is fine play and leisure sports in current society. The horse riding will be a popular sports such as golf, wind surfing, skiing, etc. with the period including lots of kinds of leisure.

Catalogue raisonne is a holistic work record of artist which describes academically significant record information related to works by cataloging major works of an artist. Such catalogue raisonne is used as research material for exhibition planner and researchers and even used as fundamental material for winnowing out authenticity of work. Compilation of domestic catalogue raisonne is at an opening step, but in foreign countries, the art related institutions and artist foundations play key role in compiling catalogue raisonne of artists. Cataloge raisonne is an essential element of record about the art work and relevant information. However, as the description of catalogue raisonne can vary in accordance with characteristics of artist and art work. Therefore, this study has analyzed catalogue raisonnes of artists published in foreign countries, examined the characteristics and description element of catalogue raisonne in details and aims to contribute to compilation of catalogue raisonne of authoritative domestic artists.
