본 연구는 전남지역에서 개최되는 문화관광축제의 공간적 전개과정과 그 특징을 고찰하였다. 전남지역의 축제는 1995년 이후에 주로 많이 만들어졌다. 개최시기별로는 가을과 봄철에 48개(82.7%)의 축제가 집중되었다. 1960년대부터 목포시와 여수시, 구례군에서 개최된 지역축제는 1995년 이후 전남의 전역으로 확산되었다. 축제의 공간적 확산과정은 초기단계(1995년 이전), 확산기(1995${\sim}$1999년), 심화기(2000년 이후) 등의 3단계로 구분되었고, 단계별로 뚜렷한 공간적 차이를 나타냈다. 확산의 초기단계에는 21개(36.2%), 확산기에는 30개(51.7%), 그리고 심화기에는 7개(12.1%)의 축제가 각각 새롭게 개최되었다. 전남의 문화관광축제는 초기에는 주민화합형 축제가 확산기에는 관광형이 많이 개최되었다. 축제주제는 지역의 전통과 문화, 자연특성과 관련된 축제가 초기에 많았고, 최근에는 생태환경과 역사의 축제가 많이 개최되고 있다. 축제의 전개과정 또한 초기의 토착형에서 토착진화형으로 그리고 최근의 상업형 축제로 전환되었다.

본 연구에서는 신생아 질환과 사망 원인 중 첫 번째에 해당하는 설사의 주된 원인균인 C. jejuni와 기타 장내 염증 유발 유해 세균에 대한 쇠비름 추출물의 항균력을 검증하였다. 과거부터 민간이나 한방에서 널리 사용되어져 온 쇠비름은 각종 항균 효과나 항염증, 항암 효과 등이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 쇠비름을 각종 유기용매와 열수로 추출하여 Salmonella typhimirium, Salmonella enteriditis, Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella flexneri, Shigella sonnei 및 C. jejuni에 대한 항균활성을 조사해 본 바, 쇠비름의 ethylacetate 추출물 및 열수 추출물이 이들에 대한 항균력을 나타내었다. 쇠비름의 ethylacetate 추출물이 10 $mg/m{\ell}$ 농도에서 Salmonella typhimurium에 대해 가장 높은 항균력을 나타내었고, 열수 추출물도 유사한 항균성을 나타내었다. C. jejuni에 대한 쇠비름 열수 추출물의 MIC 범위는 10~20 $mg/m{\ell}$였으며, $MIC_{50}$은 10 $mg/m{\ell}$, $MIC_{90}$은 20 $mg/m{\ell}$이었다. 쇠비름 열수 추출물은 10 $mg/m{\ell}$ 이상의 농도에서 C. jejuni에 대한 강한 항균력을 나타내 보였다. 또한 액체 배지에 배양한 C. jejuni에 대해 쇠비름의 열수 추출물이 10~20 $mg/m{\ell}$ 농도에서 36시간까지 성장 억제 효과를 보였다.

본 연구에서는 신생아 질환과 사망 원인 중 첫 번째에 해당하는 설사의 주된 원인균인 Campylbactor jejuni에 대한 쇠비름 발효액의 항균 효과를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 민간요법과 한방에서 널리 이용되어온 쇠비름은 각종 항균 효과나 항염증, 항암 효과 등이 있는 것으로 알려져 있는 식용 식물로, 여기에서 식물성 유산균을 분리해 각종 프로바이오틱스와 더불어 쇠비름 발효액을 제조하였다. Lactobacillus rhamnosus, L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, L. delbrueckii, L. plantarum, Leuconostoc mesenteroides 및 Bifidobacterium longum과 쇠비름에서 분리한 균을 쇠비름 추출물에 적용하였을 때, Leuconostoc mesenteroides와 쇠비름에서 분리한 식물성 유래 유산균이 쇠비름 추출액에서 가장 잘 자랐고, 여기에 2% yeast extract, 1% peptone 및 0.05~1% 인산을 첨가하였을 때 가장 적합한 발효액을 만들 수 있었다. 쇠비름 발효액에 들어있는 생균수는 발효 48시간 후 $1{\times}10^{12}\;CFU/m{\ell}$로 증가하였고, 2주간 냉장 보관을 한 이후에도 생균수가 $1.3{\times}10^{10}\;CFU/m{\ell}$로 남아있었다. 쇠비름 발효액의 pH와 산도는 발효 48시간 이후 3.7과 3.14로 각각 나타나 일반 유제품 발효액의 기준 범위 안에 들어감을 알 수 있었다. PLAB과 Leuconostoc mesenteroides로 만든 쇠비름 발효액은 10 $mg/m{\ell}$ 이상의 농도에서 C. jejuni에 대해 증식 억제효과를 나타냈으며, 이 억제 효과는 48시간 동안 지속되었다.

Objective: The roots, leaves, flowers, stems and seeds of Cirsium japonicum var. ussuriense are often used in treatment of human diseases such as hemorrhage, blood congestion and inflammation. Focusing our attention on natural and bioavailable sources of antioxidants and anti-inflammation, we undertook to investigate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Cirsium japonicum var. ussuriense used as a folk medicine in Korea. Methods: The extracts of the leaves, stems, flowers, seeds and roots from C. japonicum var. ussuriense were prepared by extracting with water or 80% ethanol. Total flavonoids and polyphenols were measured by a colorimetric assay. The free radical scavenging activity of the extract was analyzed by the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl), ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) and Griess reagent assay. An oxidative product of nitric oxide (NO), was measured in the culture medium by the Griess reaction. The level of prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expressions of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) were measured by Western blot analysis. Results: Total flavonoid and polyphenol amounts of the leaves (CLE) and flowers (CFE) showed higher than those of the seed extract (CSE), stem extract (CSTE) and roots (CRE). CLE and CFE also showed the high antioxidant activities such as DPPH, NO-like and ABTS radical scavenging activity. An antioxidant activities of these water extracts showed higher than those of 80% ethanol extracts. We investigated the anti-inflammatory effects of CLE on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. CLE significantly suppressed the levels of the inflammatory mediators such as NO and prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) in dose dependant. Furthermore, the levels of iNOS and COX-2 protein expressions were markedly suppressed by the treatment with CLE extract in a dose dependent manner. Conclusions: These results suggest that CLE water extract has a higher anoxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, these properties may contribute to the oxidative and inflammatory related disease care.

본 연구는 마을숲 연구에서 심도있게 다루어지지 않았던 해안 마을숲의 문화경관 특성을 파악하고, 그 가치와 정체성을 규명하고자 하였다. 경상남도 소재의 남해안 마을숲 10개소를 연구 대상으로 진행하였으며, 문헌연구, 현장조사, 인터뷰를 통해서 남해안 마을숲을 고찰하였다. 연구를 통하여 밝혀진 남해안 마을숲의 문화경관 특성은 문화적 특성, 실용적 특성, 경관적 특성으로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 내륙 마을숲이 유교적 배경이 강한데 비해 민촌에 조성된 해안 마을숲은 민간신앙의 영향이 두드러진 마을 공동체의 정신적 공간이다. 둘째, 남해안 마을숲은 해안마을이 접한 현실적 문제 해결과 경제적 효율을 우위에 둔 사고와 문화를 반영한 실용적 공간이다. 셋째, 남해안 마을숲은 단순히 수목으로 구성된 숲에 국한하는 것이 아니라, 주변 토지이용을 구성하는 바다부터 마을과 배후 산까지 광역적 범위에서 경관적 정체성이 이해되어야 한다. 본 연구는 그동안 주목받지 못했던 남해안 마을숲의 기초 자료를 구축하고, 내륙 마을숲과 차별화되는 해안 마을숲의 가치를 제고하였음에 의의를 지닌다. 나아가 동해안과 서해안 마을숲으로 연구의 대상을 확장함으로써 각 해안 마을숲의 특성과 차이점을 밝히는 연구가 후속되어야 할 것이다.

Son Jinchaek got into his directing career since 1976 when he founded the theatre group Minye with Huhgyu and others. His experience in Minye was the turnaround of his life; Huhgyu was a teacher in his artist's life whereas Brecht was a teacher for his ideology to make 'Korean Theatre'. From these two teachers, he learned how and why Korean Theatre should be made. Since then, Korean theatre was his calling for 40 years of his directing career. As he established Michoo in 1986, it served a turning point in his art. His focus was on intrinsic attributes of Korean Theatre with Madang Jungshin. With Madang Jungshin, he tried to get over the former generation's fixation on external materials of Korean traditional theatre and folk culture to make Korean Theatre. Rather, he believed Korean Theatre could be realized when it grafted Korean social reality onto the stage, while the form was subsequent. He advocated Korean Theatre should mirror present social reality and circulate social energy. Also, he did not give up aesthetics. On the contrary, his aesthetic style was conspicuously evident in his productions. In spite of his life long career with noteworthy works, the critical discourses are strikingly scarce especially when compared with other senior and peer directors such as Hugh Gyu, Ahn Minsoo, Oh Taesok, and Lee Yoontaek. During his career he has crossed into various genres from Changeuk, Madangnori, and to theatres, which were too versatile to thread them into a discourse and caused a lack of theoretical greeting. Madangnori has anchored its artistic structure on its polished aesthetics which were acclaimed by the general audience for 30 years. For theatre, he concentrated on one production per year to grasp its own style. Theatre works also had revealed his own style of being opened and of being emptied which was certainly different from Madangnori, but had same aesthetic principle within it. This paper attempts to recompose his stylistic features with 'Madang aesthetics' which were based on open space, open acting style, and graphic ensemble. This paper tries to demonstrate how his 'Madang aesthetics' has refined his productions in scenography, acting style, and in more like metaphoric and metonymic symbolic expression of the graphic ensemble. To do this, two productions were explored: eLee Chunpoongjeun and Yulha Ilgyee Manbo. Madangnori was sorely explored by Son Jinchaek with his artistic colleagues Yoon Munshik, Kim Jongyeup, Kim Sungnyu, music designer Park Buhmhoon, and choreographer Guk Sooho. Though it has been ignored for its popular appeal by the doctrinaire theoretical opinions, it started to pull academic attention recently. His theatres are also getting sharp with his 'Madang aesthetics' as well as minimalistic expression in scenography, acting style, and graphic ensemble. Madang Jungshin is the soul and Madang aesthetics is the body in his artistic works. The Madang Jungshin animates the Madang aesthetics, so they become alive in his theatre.

본 연구에서는 애니메이션 산업계에서 자신만의 독창적인 작품 세계를 구축하여 인정받고 있는 톰 무어 감독의 장편 애니메이션 <바다의 노래>에 나타나는 평면적 스테이징을 분석하여 서사구조를 위한 시각적 장치 및 영상에서 나타나는 상징과 화면 구성요소를 살펴보고자 한다. 연구방법으로는 우선 스테이징에 대한 일반적 이론을 파악하고 <바다의 노래>에서 평면적 스테이징이 구체적으로 드러나는 장면을 추출 후 분석하며, 이를 정리하여 톰 무어 감독의 평면적 스테이징 연출 요소 및 특징을 밝히도록 한다. 그 결과 <바다의 노래>에서는 기본도형을 활용한 화면 구성과 켈트 전통문양인 나선형의 조형적 상징성을 내포한 화면 구성, 균형적 화면구도를 통한 안정적이고 평면적 프레임 표현, 역원근법을 사용한 시대적 배경 표현과 평면적 조형성을 더욱 강조할 수 있는 연출상의 특징이 나타났다. 이를 통해 2차원의 평면성이 더욱 극대화되어 애니메이션 전반에 걸쳐 동화책의 삽화를 보는듯한 느낌이 강조되었다. 아일랜드의 전통문화를 계승하기 위해 자국의 설화를 바탕으로 애니메이션을 제작한 톰 무어 감독은 서사를 돕는 평면적 스테이징으로 애니메이션의 독창적인 표현성과 작품성을 높이며 세계적으로 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구가 흥행성과 작품성 모두를 만족하는 독창적이고 우수한 장편 애니메이션을 제작할 수 있도록 업계 종사자들 및 관련 연구자들의 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

경기검무는 한국 검무의 오랜 역사를 바탕으로 민속 고유의 전통춤의 뿌리를 담고 있다. 일제강점기 근대가무악의 거장 한성준은 조선 음악 무용연구회를 중심으로 일본의 민족문화 말살 정책으로 사라지거나 명맥이 끊긴 우리의 민속춤들을 모아 재구성하였고, 무대 양식화 작업을 통해 검무의 명맥을 이어 올 수 있었다. 이후 강선영, 김근희로 전해져 2011년에는 경기도 지방 무형문화재 제53호로 지정되어 전승되고 있다. 본 연구는 역사적 의미를 지닌 경기검무의 올바른 전형과 전승을 위한 경기검무만의 고유성을 부각시키는 데 중점을 두었다. 경기검무의 정체성과 춤의 구성 및 특징을 바탕으로 무형문화재 춤이 지닌 역사성과 예술적, 문화적 가치를 살펴봄으로써 경기검무의 올바른 전승을 위한 이해와 보존을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 경기검무의 시원인 경기 류, 류 파의 대부 고(故)한성준을 시초로 고(故)강선영, 김근희로 이어오는 경기검무의 전승체계를 인물 중심에서 살펴보고, 경기도 지방 무형문화재 지정 당시 보유자 김근희에 의해 정립된 순수한 우리말 춤사위 용어를 중심으로 경기검무의 특징을 고찰하였다. 경기검무의 고유한 특징은 현재 다른 지역의 검무에서는 찾아볼 수 없는 무대 형식인 대무-군무(群舞)와 홀춤-독무(獨舞) 두 가지 형식으로 공연, 전수되고 있다는 점이다. 이는 검무의 원형을 따라 그대로 전수되고 있다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 특히 홀 춤 검무는 예술적 춤의 형식으로 조선 시대 여기(女妓)검무의 곡선미와 교태미를 엿볼 수 있다. 그 외 전반적인 춤의 구성을 종합적으로 분석하여 볼 때, 경기검무는 부드러우면서도 강한 기질의 예술적 춤으로 평할 수 있다

Opuntia ficus-indicavar. saboten Makino (Cactaceae) is a tropical or subtropical plant that has been widely used as folk medicine for the treatment of diabetes, asthma, burn, edema and gastritis. The purposes of the present study were to identify antioxidant constituents from fruits and stems of the plant cultivated in Cheju island, Korea, and examine their in vitro neuroprotective activities. Using a chromatographic fractionation method, ten chemical constituents were isolated from ethyl acetate extracts. By means of chemical and spectroscopic methods, those were identified as eight flavonoids such as kaempherol (a), quercetin (b), kaempferol 3-methyl ether (c), quercetin 3-methyl ether (d), narcissin (e), dihydrokaernpferol (f), dihydroquercetin (g) and erioclictyol (h), and two terpenoids such as 3-oxo-${\alpha}$-ionol-${\beta}$-d-glucopyranoside (i) and roseoside (j). Among the isolated compounds, comrounds c~e and h~j were those reported for the first titre from the plant. Compounds b, d and g showed DPPH free radical scavenging activities with IC$\sub$50/ values of 28, 19 and 31, ${\mu}$M respectively. Compounds d and g also inhibited iron-dependent lipid peroxidation with IC$\sub$50/ values of 2.4 and 3.5 ${\mu}$M. In a primary rat cortical neuronal cell culture system, compounds b, d and g inhibited xanthine/xanthine oxidase-induced (IC$\sub$50/ values of 18.2, 2.1 and 54.6 ${\mu}$M) and H$_2$O$_2$-induced (IC$\sub$50/ values of 13.6, 1.9 and 25.7 ${\mu}$M) cytotoxicities. In addition, compounds d and g inhibited NMDA-induced excitotoxicity by 21 and 33%, and only compound d inhibited growth factor withdrawal-induced apoptosis by 31% at a tested concentration of 3 ${\mu}$M. The results suggest that the antioxidant constituents with in vitroneuroprotective activities may serve as lead chemicals for the development of neuroprotective agent.

This article intends to examine the value of the world citizenship in the perspective from the root meaning that is stressed as the behavior style of Daesoon thoughts in relation with 'desirable attitude of life in education of morality. Traditional root meaning of Daesoon thoughts turned out to be proper moral behavior principle such as Yin Yang harmonious virtue, God Humane keeping unity, and conviviality with regrets settlement. Such three principles of Daesoon Thoughts show the characteristic of global code such as respect of life, solidarity unity, and tolerant trust. To revise the phenomenon of duality, and to realize the human awakening in radically changing reality, we need to cultivate world citizenship based on the root meaning of Daesoon thoughts. Daesoon thoughts covering the East and the West, especially the key features of religion, can cultivate the world view of citizenship in the era of plural society based on folk beliefs toward Gucheon Sangje faith as the essence of the multiplism. The world citizenship of human society is necessary to unite the world in the unified construction cooperative spirits. All beings need to be away from antagonistic confrontation with the practice of mutual conviviality. The diameter of acquired joining world citizenship can have the opportunity to realize of Gucheon Sangje's Heaven and earth construction. The root meaning of Daesoon thoughts can contribute to moral practicality with world citizenship by practice of heavenly truth and human truth. First, cultivating heavenly truth by means of insight can develope the profound world citizenship. Secondly, the solidarity of the public and private can cultivate public citizenship. Thirdly, in the crisis of the mankind, this awakening conviviality can be foundation for world citizenship of public communication. Fourthly, the spirit that would not deceive ownself can be contributed to cultivating the world citizenship by means of the process of internalizing Daesoon thoughts. Nowadays in the plural society demanding world citizenship, the public citizenship can deepen the spirit of respect of life, solidarity unity, and tolerant trust in the process of world citizenship cultivation. In the future, the world citizenship can be deepen the alternative of practice in the continuous cultivation of world citizenship. In this process, we can form the culture of coexistence which can contribute to human society as well as korean society by developing the value of living together happiness through the guide of this phonesis.
