  • Compared to research on the success of IT projects In general, research on the management of conflict in IT teams and its impact on project success is insufficient. This research performed a comparative study to analyze the nature and evolving phenomenon of conflicts in IT project teams. This study aimed at; First, Why a conflict is created within and around an IT project team. Second, What is the phenomenon of conflict evolution, diffusion, and/or resolution? Third, How the differences in conflict management style affects the IT project performance? Three propositions were drawn from the analysis of two intensive analysis of conflict cases and their comparison. Proposition 1 : Both 'the method of pointing out a problem' and 'the pointed-out contents' can be the trigger of conflicts around an IT project. Proposition 2 : While the focus of attention of one party is 'the method of pointing out a problem', if the other's and focus of attention of one party is 'the pointed-out contents', that is, if the focus of attention mismatch, the conflict can be amplified. Proposition 3 : According to the temporal nature of the relationship, e.g., short-term versus long-term, the way people approach and deal with the conflict differs.

시선추적장치를 활용한 모바일 메신저 이모티콘의 시각적 주의집중 분석 (Analysis of Visual Attention in Mobile Messenger Emoticons using Eye-Tracking)

  • For the success of mobile messenger emoticons, it is important to grab the attentions of users or consumers and identify the influence factors that can satisfy empathy and emotional satisfaction. In this study, first, subjective evaluation of the mobile messenger emoticons of the subjects was examined through a preliminary survey, and then Eye-tracking experiments were conducted to identify the influence factors that can attention of the subject's eyes in the emoticons. The study revealed that emoticons such as Ompangi and Onaeui yeosin highlighting their characters mainly focus on characters(face). Secondly, Gyuiyomjueui and Handprinting emoticons focused on Text. Contrary to earlier studies, such results showed that people are presumed to focus on characteristic elements such as size, form, color and location of visually exposed elements rather than primarily having a keen interest in characters.

Analysis of Effect by Duration of Cryotherapy in the Posterior region of Neck for College Students

  • Attention is a fundamental aspect in the cognitive process of human. Cognitive system of human body requires to focus on selected information among a vast amount of information from sensory organs. It has widely studied that various environmental factors affected the level of attention; however, few researches have aimed to the effect of direct cryotherapy. In this research, level of attention was studied comparing sub-indexes of FAIR test between groups with different duration of direct cryotheapy to the back of neck. FAIR test is a evaluation tool for visual attention consisting of three sub-indexes. Selective attention, accuracy of attention, and persistence of attention can be independently analyzed by FAIR test. In the analysis of selective attention, cryotherapy for 5 to 20 minutes showed higher result than cryotherapy for 40 minutes. In the analysis of persistence of attention, cryotherapy for 5 to 15 minutes showed higher result than cryotherapy for 40 minutes. Overall, selective attention and persistence of attention turns out to be maximized between 5 to 20 minutes of cryotherapy and tends to decrease afterwards. However, accuracy of attention does not seem to be affected by the duration of cryotherapy. Correlation between selective attention and the skin temperature by cryotherapy tends to be negative supporting the findings by ANOVA and post-hoc test. Correlation between persistence of attention and the skin temperature showed similar results.

주의 집중 방법이 다트 던지기 역학에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Different Types of Attentional Focus on Dart Throwing Mechanics)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of attentional focus(internal focus vs. external focus) on the dart throwing mechanics. Seven expert dart throwing athletes were assigned to an internal focus group and other seven athletes were assigned to an external focus group. Each group was asked to throw dart either under verbal instruction or without instruction. During dart throwing, accuracy(radial error), consistency(bivariate variable error), dart velocity, acceleration, elbow joint ROM, elbow joint angular velocity, EMD(electromechanical delay), iEMG of biceps brachii and triceps brachii, and CI(coactivation index) were collected and analyzed. Nither instruction type nor instruction itself affected in accuracy and consistency. However, in dart velocity and acceleration, there was an interaction between instruction and attentional focus types. Velocity and acceleration increased in the internal condition, where as they decreased in the external condition. The ROM of elbow joint did not affected by instruction and attention type. However, similar to dart velocity and acceleration, angular velocity increased in internal focus group, while it decreased in external focus group. EMG showed no difference with any condition. In conclusion, internal focus is better than external focus for dart throwing.

ADD-Net: Attention Based 3D Dense Network for Action Recognition

  • Recent years with the development of artificial intelligence and the success of the deep model, they have been deployed in all fields of computer vision. Action recognition, as an important branch of human perception and computer vision system research, has attracted more and more attention. Action recognition is a challenging task due to the special complexity of human movement, the same movement may exist between multiple individuals. The human action exists as a continuous image frame in the video, so action recognition requires more computational power than processing static images. And the simple use of the CNN network cannot achieve the desired results. Recently, the attention model has achieved good results in computer vision and natural language processing. In particular, for video action classification, after adding the attention model, it is more effective to focus on motion features and improve performance. It intuitively explains which part the model attends to when making a particular decision, which is very helpful in real applications. In this paper, we proposed a 3D dense convolutional network based on attention mechanism(ADD-Net), recognition of human motion behavior in the video.

영아의 공동주의와 초기 언어발달의 관계 (Relationships Between Joint Attention and Language Development in Infancy)

  • This study investigated relationships between engagement in joint attention and the early language development in infancy. Subjects were 12 infants and their mothers. At 20 and 25 months of age, each child's spontaneous natural speech during interaction with his/her caregiver was videotaped for about 30 minutes. The EJA(Episodes of joint attention) focus between mother and child were identified and coded by Tomasello and Todd's(1983) and Bakeman and Adamson's(1984) including person engagement, object engagement, looking engagement, passive joint attention, coordinated joint attention. Results showed that a significant difference in infant's language development between within and outside EJA at 20 and 25 months of age; that is, during periods of EJA children talked more inside than outside EJA.

자기규제초점과 심리적 거리가 창업태도 및 창업의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Regulatory Focus and Psychological Distance on Entrepreneurial Intention)

  • 본 연구에서는 창업태도와 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 선행변수로 자기규제초점과 심리적 거리에 주목하였다. 자기규제초점은 향상초점과 예방초점으로 구분할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 향상초점집단과 예방초점집단이 창업에 대한 심리적 거리에 따른 창업태도와 행동의도의 영향력을 이원변량분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 자기규제초점에 따라 창업태도와 행동의도에 차이가 나타났다. 즉, 예방초점집단보다는 향상초점집단에서 행동의도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 심리적 거리에 따라 이들의 영향이 어떻게 달라지는지 살펴본 결과, 향상초점집단에서는 창업에 대해 심리적 거리가 멀 때보다는 가깝다고 느낄 때 창업태도와 창업의도가 높게 나타났다. 반면에 예방초점집단에서는 창업에 대해 가깝다고 느낄 때보다는 멀다고 느낄 때 창업태도와 행동의도가 더 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 학문적 의의와 실무적 시사점 그리고 연구의 한계점을 제시하였다.

모션 기반 선택적 주의 시스템 (A Motion-driven Selective Visual Attention System)

  • 본 논문은 동영상에서 ROI(region of interest)나 FOA(focus of attention)를 탐지하기 위한 방법으로써 여러 시각자극(stimuli)중 모션(motion) 정보를 사용한 선택적 주의 시스템을 소개한다. 2개 이상의 연속적인 프레임으로 구성되는 모션은 시간정보가 포함된 현실세계의 시각장면에서 시간적으로 현저함(temporal saliency) 정도를 나타내는 특징이라 할 수 있으며, 본 연구에서는 이러한 모션을 인간 뇌의 대뇌 시각피질에 존재하는 MT(middle temporal cortex) 영역에 존재하는 "이중 대립 수용야(double opponent receptive fields)"의 특성과 "노이즈 여과(noise filtration)" 기능에 대한 기존의 심리학적 연구 결과를 바탕으로 분석하고, 이렇게 분석된 결과를 MT에서의 "모션통합" 이론을 기반하여 통합한다. 이러한 과정을 통해 동영상에서 다른 주변의 영역과 현저히 다른 돌출 영역으로 정의되는 ROI또는FOA를 탐지할 수 있다. 제안하는 시스템의 성능분석을 위해 인간을 대상으로 한 심리학적인 실험을 추가적으로 수행하여 제안된 시스템을 통해 얻어진 결과와 비교함으로써, 본 시스템이 얼마나 타당성이 있는지 검증하였다.

아이트래킹을 활용한 PPL이 수용자의 시각적 주의에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of PPL on the User's Visual Attention Using Eye-tracking)

  • 본 논문은 수용자가 PPL 제품이 삽입된 TV 예능 프로그램에 대한 시각적 주의에 관한 아이트래킹을 활용한 실험연구이다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, PPL 제품의 노출 시간에 차이가 없었으며 이는 피사체의 주의력에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, PPL 제품의 눈에 띄는 차이가 없었으며, 자막이나 출연진의 얼굴에 초점이 맞춰져 있음을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 예능 프로그램 출연자들의 연예인의 인지도에 있어서 유명한 출연자가 많을 때 PPL 상품에 대한 관심의 집중도가 높았으며, 유명한 출연자의 출연은 PPL에 더 많은 관심을 집중시키기 위해 매우 효과적이라고 평가되었다. 결론적으로 예능 프로그램에서 PPL 제품을 노출 할 때 유명 방송사, 연예인, 스타 등 예능 프로그램에 출연진이 출연할수록 노출 시간보다는 PPL 제품이 더 효과적 일 것으로 판단된다. PPL 제품의 명성이 높을수록 회사는 인기 있고 호감이가는 유명인을 광고하는 데 더 효과적 일 것이다.
