The purpose of this research is to validate the determinants of information systems(IS) sourcing strategy focusing on Korean financial institutions. Based on the factor analyses and discriminant analyses using data from 34 major Korean financial institutions, we observed that determinants of IS souring strategy are perceived risks, strategic expectations and organizational IS maturity. If the clients have clear objectives, can control the risks from IS sourcing, and have information systems in the less-matured stage, they frequently outsource their IS. In view of the IS maturity, previous studies suggest that more-matured IS are outsourced. But the results of this study show that more-matured IS are insourced. These phenomena can be explained by classifying IS by their functions. Transaction processing systems, which are mission-critical, are generally insourced, but decision support systems, which are in their mature state, are generally outsourced.

Recently world industry trends is moved from manufacturing to service. As a result product-market ideology is central to the service enabler of the service. And value creation and delivery of consumer-oriented services as the core design industry is gaining popularity abroad. But the Service design to dispose of the whole process from planning to be done systematically is not yet established a clear concept. This study suggested problems of the current service design industry, service plans and strategies for the development of service design through open questionnaire and FGI(Focus Group Interview) for using service model methodology which is presented by HyeogIn Kwon et al.(2010). And we also consider 27 kinds of developing challenges for service design industry innovation by 6 sectors, such as workforce, R&D, legal framework, lay the foundation, knowledge service and collaborative service.

The widespread diffusion of Internet has enables companies to conduct business in quite a different way. marketing on the Internet becomes more important as firms adopt electronic commerce as a means to implement competitive strategies. One hundred and four BC shopping mall companies responded to an e-mail and web server survey about the anticipated benefits of electronic commerce and related strategies. The survey also asked about improvements in value chain activities and impediments to the implementation of electronic commerce in Korea. The results indicated that Korean shopping mall companies followed differentiation strategy significantly more than the other two strategies. In addition, six benefits factors were drawn from this study - information, productivity, cost savings, customers, management information, and applications. Productivity factor was related to cost leadership strategy, and customers factor was related with cost leadership, differentiation and focus strategies. Several benefits factors were also correlated with value chain activity improvements. The results of this study were compared with those of research conducted in the United States.

The identity crisis of preventive medicine appears to have been deepening. As a solution, it is insisted that preventive medicine should focus on clinical preventive medicine. However, in the field of heath policy and management, the better solution should be found in a serious search for visions and perspectives of its study on population and society. In this regard, the specialist who studies the field can be defined as a medical doctor majoring in public health. In this paper, I first forecasted major socioeconomic changes to occur in medical and public health arena and explored the role of those studying health policy and management. Secondly, I summarized their career paths and main activities in order to establish visions. Finally, I proposed curriculums on health policy and management for medical school undergraduates and for specialists majoring in preventive medicine, respectively.

The financial incomes of urban rail transit authorities have been only from the fares. In order to increase the customers and expand the scope of enterprise, it is the most feasible mean to develop the area around the stations. Current experiences have confronted the excessive concentration of population and traffic congestion due to the lack of systematic planning and the excessive focus on the business. This study reviewed the necessity of the impact area around the urban rail transit stations by the organizational analysis for the urban rail transit authorities, and reviewed domestic/foreign cases. Finally, This study suggested the strategy for the development of impact area around the urban rail transit stations.

Data, by itself, will not reveal the optimal policy choice. Nor will data alone tell us what problems to focus on or how to direct resources. It should be recognized upfront that data-driven policy making cannot provide all the answers to the challenges of good governance. Policy decisions always depend on a combination of facts, analysis, judgment, and values. In this paper, we research on factors to design an organizational policy making for Big Data.

In the former researches〔2〕〔5〕 for the unmanned bicycle system, we do only focus on stabilizing it by using the lateral motion of mass which plays important role in driving a bicycle system. In this papers, we suggest an algorithm for deriving steering angle and speed for a given desired tracking path. As you may see in this paper, load mass balance system plays important role in stabilization and it is also discussed. We propose a control algorithm for the autonomous self stabilization of unmanned bicycle by using nonlinear compensation-like control based on the Lyapunov stability theory We then propose a tracking control strategy by moving the center of load mass left and right respectively. From the computer simulation results, we can show the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

The reduction of power consumption in large-scale datacenters is highly-dependent on the use of virtualization to consolidate multiple workloads. However, these consolidation strategies must also take into account additional important parameters such as performance, reliability, and profitability. Resolving these conflicting goals is often the major challenge encountered in the design of optimization strategies for cloud data centers. In this paper, we put forward a data center monitoring strategy which dynamically alters its approach depending on the cloud system's current state. Results show that our proposed scheme outperformed strategies which only focus on a single metric such as SLA-Awareness and Energy Efficiency.

Since the election of governors and mayors by vote, many local governments in Korea establish long-range plans for their regional development. The major purposes of the plans are to set up development path for their communities and to devise economic development strategies. But most of the plans established thus formulated by the same method utilized in centralized political regime. This method is considered no longer appropriate to devise the long-range development plans for local government especially in the era of globalization and localization, where local governments behave independently, where local governments behave independently competition. We suggest an alternative way to establish such plans, based on the method employed in business sector. The plans, formulated in this way, are called strategy oriented long-range development plans. The underlying logic for the plans is non-linear one. The plans are issue oriented and focus more on process than outcome. Given that these features are properly incorporated in the plans, we expect that the strategy oriented long-range development plans can be genuine guidelines for local economic development in the years to come.

Bridge construction is almost complete in many countries. Thus, the government and highway agencies change their focus from constructing to maintaining. Effectively maintaining bridges require predicting their lifespan using a system reliability viewpoint. Likewise, maintenance models based on the system reliability concept should be developed. Thus, this study developed maintenance models for preventive maintenance and essential maintenance using system reliability and lifetime distributions. The optimal maintenance strategy for an existing bridge was obtained using the developed maintenance models.
