슬롯 링을 장착한 전기유변 스퀴즈 필름 댐퍼의 감쇠성능 해석 (Damping Performance Analysis of Electro-Rheological Squeeze Film Damper Sealed with Slotted Rings)

  • The present paper proposes a new type of an electro-rheological squeeze film damper (ER SFD) of which the damping capacity can be controlled by the application of electric field. The new ER .SFD- is sealed with slotted rings having electrodes at the inside of the constant gap. The ER SFD can provent the problem of electric short which might be occurred in a previous ER SFD. Reynolds lubrication equation for a Newtonian fluid and the end leakage equation for ER fluids are numerically solved to get the pressure distributions and the damping coefficients of the ER SFD. The results show that the damping coefficients greatly increase with increasing the yield shear stress of ER fluid. In addition, the unbalance response analysis of a flexible rotor supported on the new ER SFD implies that the rotor system can be operated with the minimum of rotor amplitude and force transmissibility by controlling the yield shear stress of ER fluids properly.

  • An analysis for turbulent hybrid beatings with fluid inertia and swirl injection effect was derived for studying static characteristics of swirl-controlled hybrid journal. The swirl-controlled hybrid journal beating is considered to have more freedom in stability control in high speed rotating machinery. Current analysis is compared with experimental results with 3-recess hydrostatic journal bearing. The analysis revealed that the fluid momentum exchange at orifice discharge could produce pressure rise inside the recess region which can control the shear flow induced by journal rotation. The analysis also shows that the swirl-controlled hybrid journal beating has a capability of controlling load carrying capacity and stability by manipulating supply pressure and injection angle.

  • An orifices fluid damper(OFD) having the capacity of about 2 tons was designed and fabricated and applied to a 6-story steel structure under random excitation and seismic excitation for the confirmation of its validity on structural vibration absorbtion. The experimental results demonstrated that the addition of an OFD to the test structure is very effective in reduction of vibration level of the higher modes as well as the fundamental mode. Maxwell model was adopted to described the frequency-dependent characteristics of the fabricated OFD and the numerical simulation was carried for the test structure. It was confirmed that the experimental and numerically simulated results agree well.

Several important findings were observed and introduced in this paper.   • The one-dimensional performance model of a torque converter has been widely used to analyze and predict the performance and dynamic behavior of a torque converter. But this model doesn't include the information of the operating fluid properties. Therefore, to precisely predict dynamic performance of a torque converter, the effect of operating conditions must be considered through experimental coefficients such as friction loss coefficient and shock loss coefficient. And these coefficients cannot be achieved without experiments or internal flow analysis. In this study, the effects of varying material properties of operating fluid according to various operating temperatures are clarified with flow analysis of a torque converter. And these results are verified by comparing with those of performance experiment.

CFX를 이용한 내부순환모드에서의 자동차 내부 유동특성 연구 (A study on Flow Characteristic inside Passenger's Compartment under Recirculation Cool vent mode using CFX)

  • The flow characteristics under recirculation cool vent mode is numerically studied using commercial fluid dynamic code(CFX). For the reliable analysis, real vehicle and human FE model is employed in grid generation process. The geometrical location and shape of panel vent, and exhaust vent is set as that of real vehicle model. The flowrate of the working fluid is determined as 330CMH which is equivalent to 70 percent of maximum capacity of HVAC system. The high velocity regions are formed around 4 each panel vent. Because of the non-symmetrically located exhaust, non-uniform flow and partial backflow near the door trim is observed. Streaklines start from each panel vent show the flow pattern of the airflow in the passenger's compartment very well.

  • AOV used fluid capacity and fluid pressure control in nuclear power plant with heating power plant. AOV structures safely must be secured the reliability and a safety of the atomic power plant. but, AOV where is used from domestic is using the product of the overseas enterprise. The AOV design and maintenance technique is insufficient. Therefore According to ASME designed AOV, The performance test resultant fluid leakage did not occur and AOV design was satisfactory.

  • AOV is fluid capacity and fluid pressure control in nuclear power plant with heating power plant. The control valve in order channel to control a high differential pressure developed in the form which is complicated and precise control form. Form the research which sees in order description below analyzed the performance comparison which follows in trim forms of the control valve with CFD. 충전층내에서 축열에 따른 열전달 (Heat Storage in a packed Bed)

  • An experiment has been performed of find a temperature distribution of the circulating fluid in a packed bed thermal storage system when the inlet fluid temperature is constant. The thermal storage system is a specific-heat type in which the circulating fluid, hot air, exchanges heat directly with the heat storage materials, glass balls, in a heat storage bin. An empirical equation which includes two dimensionless variables $t^*\;and\;T_f^*$, is obtained. Also, heat storage efficiency and heat storage capacity are calculated from this equation, The heat transfer coefficient calculated by the suggested equation was compared with the value determined by the existing empirical equation.

  • 본 연구에서는 대향류 열교환기에 대하여 출력과 효율 등을 계산하는 예를 보 이고, 동시에 최대의 출력을 얻기 위한 조건들을 수치적으로 구하였다. 또한 열교환 기의 장치비용과 열원의 생성비용을 적절히 취급하여 경제적 최적조건에 대해서도 살 펴보고자 한다. 여기서 저온유체의 가용 에너지 획득량으로서 출력은 열전달로 인한 부분만을 생각하기로 한다.
